I love how Lamborghini's approach to Hybrids is: "We just have to add electricity to our cars, right?" So they went and literally just added electricity to their current car 😂 And I love them for that ❤️🔥

The same old tired Lamborghini formula rinse and repeat. Compared to what Ferrari and everyone else is doing currently, it's an absolute joke. Well, it at least keeps the fangirls happy I suppose 🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@joaquinpaul8205 I'd say a sian gives you much more joy than an sf90. It has much more drama than the other supercars. Screaming v12 and a shitty gearbox make it cooler than the sf90

@@NuSuntRaresh Compare the Sián to LaFerrari, SP3 Daytona and all the drama from the Lamborghini pales in comparison to these Ferrari's and that's not even considering the performance difference and how bespoke (or not) these cars are.

That car’s dimensions, angles, sound and color are too good..
I though Centenario was unbeatable version of Aventador in terms of looks when it came out but I must admit Sian looks even better, what a stunning looking machine 😍😍 so glad to see Chris got the opportunity to drive it his way 👏👏

I do prefer Chris when he's not presenting for Top Gear. He's a proper car nerd; I feel like he dumbs it down a bit for the BBC...lot's of whizz-bang, "Whoo," and spectacle for a wider audience. Jezza was a better entertainer, though; he was the cornerstone of Top Gear for a long time, RH and JM were good in their own right, but Jeremy carried them in.

Chris Harris is a nerd. The trio were amazing entertainers with nearly unmatched synergy between them who just happened to like cars a lot. You could say that Top Gear always needed a Chris Harris, but then again, it was never a serious motoring program to begin with - so it didn't.
Thing is, Chris Harris could easily have his very own car show, where he just invites people on to showcase and review cars. He doesnt need Top Gear at all.
Bloody awesome. I can just imagine the trio reviewing this beast. It looks insanely ridiculous and scares the daylight out of whoever drives it. True Lamborghini IMO.

I think they're trying a bit too hard with all the fake sword noises and stuff. It detracts from the sheer theatre of the car. Chris is an incredible presenter though.

The super capacitor contributes about 3.8% of the total power in the Sian. It’s a revolutionary technology for future EV’s, but 99.8% of this cars greatness lies within its internal combustion engine. A future without IC bores me to tears.

I agree with what Chris said here. I used to follow all the super cars very closely when it was F430 vs gallardo etc but now they all have so many models its hard to know whats what and which model is replacing which.

Very down to earth personality that gives you the specs but then also talks to you like a regular dude excited for the cat. I remember him as far back as the 2013 Shelby. He was the same then.

That car seems to rip much faster than the other Aventadors, including the SVJ. The Sian's aero & all those little intakes built into the edges of the car is crazy & beautiful at the same time. Bravo Lamborghini...👌👏 Wish the video were longer..👍
It isn't substantially faster than the SVJ or even other Aventador's.

Just like the Lamborghini reventon shows what the aventador might look like, the Sian is showing the future of how the replacement of the aventador look like.
I haven’t loved Lambo’s looks for several years. Until now. That thing is absolutely gorgeous.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE COLOR CHOICES
Love the Sian. What's interesting is that Honda developed this tech with the second Gen NSX long before McLaren's P1, Porsche's 918 or the LaFerrari even came out. The Acura ASCC was already in development back in 2005 as well as the Honda NSX CONCEPT-GT and was shown around the same time as the P1 at auto shows in 2012 under Acura. I'm happy to see this technology now being used in the heavyweight contenders. The Lamborghini Revuelto will be the new king after it's first deliveries in 2024 and we get reports of real time performance. Also excited to see the Huracan successor. Rumor has it that it will carry the same 4.0L TT V8 from the Urus and be a hybrid with 800+hp off the showroom floors. I think if they add the dihedral doors to the new model Huracan, it would surpass sales of their V12 counterparts.
I can't wait to see someone take that around the ring.
I wish I could watch Richard Hammond on every single Lambo, but although I came with my expectations high thinking I wasn't going to like the video, I was wrong, you did a good job.
I have never been a fan of Lamborghini, but this car is just beautiful!

Biggest cost saving of the decade is lambo using the same tail lights on the Sian and countach 2022. Damn the countach deserved better.
And then you'll realise that a much bigger 'cost saving' from lambo is that they're using everything from the Aventador in the Sián except the body panels and supercapacitors. They body panels are made from the same materials as well and they're 5-6X the SVJ price, original msrp to original msrp.
I’m surprised that being owned by VW that Lamborghini is still using a single clutch transmission and not an updated dual clutch transmission like Audi, Bugatti or Porsche does.

Just saw a Sian on 5 freeway today. What a beautiful car.
It´s great and solves a few problems with the Murcilago, but somehow I´d rather see that Sian EV tech somewhat doubled in an interation of the Sesto Elemento kind of car. If I consider that McMurtry Spéirling and the options that tech is adding to the EV car, then the Sian is still a Dinosaur - but a great Dinosaur never the less. In addition condering all the aero tech developed in for several Lamborghini models I also miss something advanced aero being a part of the Sian.

Are there any super cars with dynamos on the wheels to add additional boost to the battery/capacitor? Brake recovery is all well and good but to not harvest energy from the rotation of the wheels seems quite wasteful to me.
It seems to me that this machine was created as a showcase, but instead of dropping the production like pretty much every carmaker,
They went ahead and put it into production!
I very much doubt many of us will get a chance to see one on the road,

As an electrical engineer I wondered how long it would be before someone used a capacitor rather than a battery, which is a far better solution for hybrid performance cars. Well done Lamborghini, I like it. I also like massive V12s which are always going to be king.
I'd imagine the emissions of said V12 have dropped significantly with that 30hp hybrid assist and it's torque filling a lot down low I suspect, bit like a turbo charger but without the noise deadening throttle response-less negatives.
