I like your bottle holder Marie! Just a suggestion. If you were to put one keyhole slot near the top and one near the bottom, both of them in the centre of the board, the mounting screws could both be put into the same stud. No need for a drywall anchor and it would be much easier to get the wine rack plumb. John Jensen from British Columbia.
Mölkky was inspired by scraps. Greetings from Finland.
Very interesting
These are Brilliantly simple ideas
Just loved the wine rack... so simple and yet so elegant.
Much appreciated
Thanks!
Love your work
Awesome….Thank You❤
As a beginner, I can say these ideas are awesome! Each one is achievable, even with my limited skills and tools. Thank you!
Great video. I've watched several videos on making a growth chart and your method of using the router is one of the best if not the best of what I've watched. Thank you!
Jay Bates just did a giant clock face with inlaid features and used a layer of shellac, then spray stencil paint for filling the inlays, which scraped/sanded off much easier and gave really clean lines.
Ah! Should've watched that first!
I make growth charts with my CNC. I coat the pine with sanding sealer first, let it dry, then do the carvings. I brush on water based paint, and I think it's thicker than oil based spray paint. After that's dry, I sand it all down. There's still minute amounts of bleed through around the lines and numbers, but it's barely noticeable. Once that's done, I spray 2 coats of lacquer.
I like your router jig for the lines. If you can incorporate an indexing pin to sit in each previously carved line, you won't have to mark out any lines, and they'll all be perfectly spaced apart by 1".
Really appreciate the variety of projects you shared!
Thank you 😊
Great ideas for the Holidays. Thanks for sharing!!
You bet!
Thank you for the great ideas
You bet!
I loved the pear and measuring board. Great job amd thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
Good job from morrocco
I love these ideas.
That growth chart is amazing! Really good job! I am definitely going to make one! I might cover the wood in tape before routing and spraying therefore hopefully reducing the need to sand or letting the paint bleeds from the grooves.
- Brilliant jigs that make project making easier always have a place in our work boxes. Love the gift idea as well. Thanx 4 sharing.
Brilliant Marie love the Pear Trivet and the Wine Rack, great ideas. Thank You.
Take Care,
Barry (ENG)
Excellent video. Thank you.
I love these projects, and I love the keyhole jig you made for the router!
Awesome! Thought that might come in handy for some.
That ruler is awesome.

Merci beaucoup Vlad! La loyauté est une belle qualité que j'apprécie beaucoup 😊
Wonderful gift ideas!
Great video, thank you for sharing
These were excellent gift ideas that most of us should be able to make. Thanks for the video.
Great video! Appreciate the time you take to put out your videos. I also appreciate you passing on the jigs you use. Thanks and stay healthy.
Good ideas. Thx.
The pear trivet looks like a great candidate to use half laps to join the supports and or use a router to create housing joints to accept the supports. Love your work and your videos! Nice to see a fellow Canadian on CZcams!
Great video. Good balance of verbal instruction and visual reference.
I love it (all of them) God Loves you so do I
Thanks
As always, some great tips and ideas! Thank you for sharing.
Happy to!
Some great ideas there, particularly like the pear trivet 👍.
To eliminate the black paint from bleeding spay it first with a couple heavy coats of shellac. When dry spray black and sand off leftover shellac and black paint.
So beautiful 😍
Beautiful work - well done!
Love the growth chart. I want to make some for my kids soon and your jigs were the missing piece I couldn't figure out how to do. For the paint leaching maybe try sealing it first with something like a dewaxed shellac. You can still stain over top of it but it might help with the bleeding.
Excellent projects for gifts 🎁 well done 👏 😁👍
Thank you
You are only an inch shorter than me and you like red wine too, a match made in heaven ms fav youtuber 🤣.... I love the skittles game, I'm gonna try that ☺️... Great video ms

Hello
great video
Awesome woodworking gift ideas. You are very creative!
Great gift ideas I'm definitely making the game one as well as a few other one's. Great idea for the keyhole slot jig been trying to figure one out know I have one as well as the calendar one . Keep up the great videos
Cool! Glad it helped with the keyholes too!
nice ideas thank you
You bet
I have a solution for the paint issue that you had on the ruler. I do a lot of CNC work on bourbon barrel lids and had the same problem. I found the Marsh's Spray stencil Ink works so much better. It dries much faster and sands off quite easily.
Great grow chart... TIP: Spray the wood with CLEAR before you do the black fill-in. Then, let it dry for a couple of days before sanding(save sand paper). The clear spray seals the wood so there is no bleed.
great idea. Spray shellac should work nice because it dries quickly - 30 minutes on bare wood.
Just found you. I really like your builds and your videos. Thanks for making them.
Really good stuff, thank you!
Marie ... Thanks for all the great ideas. The wine rack and growth chart are on my list for holiday presents. My niece has a 4 year old son and another on the way. The growth chart is a perfect gift. As for filling the growth mark line ... what about using painter's tape and filling them in like you did with the stencils?
Thanks! Taping all those lines just seems like a lot of work... and a lot of tape!
Another great video ! 😊
Gostei muito das suas idéias.
Parabéns! Ganhou uma inscrição.
I already have a gift list for Christmas, thanks
You said "I got into the groove" when using that router bit. Ha! Nice pun. Great ideas here. Your instruction is spot on (not too wordy like many others). Thank you
Very nice...muito bom 👍
Stumbled upon your channel recently. Great ‘how to’ videos! Working my way through your archive.
😊😊👍
Hi Marie, I don't know if I will make any of this myself well possibly the trivet. Wanted to say your videos are inspirational and for a less experienced woodworker like me, your step by step videos make it seem easy and doable. I also loved the fact that most projects you do are first time experiences for you.. wishing you Happy Holidays from Papillon, Nebraska
😊😊👍
I just found your channel tonight. Excellent!!! You are very “Clever”!!! Love your projects. So much to learn, so little time. Cheers Wilber & Margaret SC. 👴🏻🧑🦳
Great video. thanks for posting. Always frustrating when things don`t go quite as planned. After noting your challenges with the growth chart I think i would lay down painters tape before doing the routing and then pull it off after applying the paint. Keep up the great work
Probably a good idea. I would consider using another type of paint (maybe crafts paint like I used for the stencils) and apply to the cracks so there is less to sand away.
Very nice , you are a very good creative wood (craft) person. Stay safe and I enjoy your content!
love your videos, you are one of my favorite youtubers. I like that you leave links to everything you use in your videos. Keep up the great work!!!!
Super Ideen und schönes Video
Danke!
Thanks for sharing....good ideas👌👌
I absolutely love your ideas. Thankyou.I'm going to try some. Do you have any ideas about honey bees, hives, etc.
Your video inspired me! I have made 12 Large and 12 Small (PDF printed at 80%) and will be giving them as gifts in "Pears in Pairs" ;) Have a wonderful holiday season!
I recommend wood and CA glue on anything like a trivet, because when it gets hot, the CA glue will fail. Maybe not the first time, but it will fail, eventually.
Wood glue will also fail if it gets hot enough. CA glue is just more susceptible.
Nice ideas!
Thanks!
To fix the paint issues you had with the ruler: First spray it with clear coat to prevent bleed out. If you have any wide voids, sand the clearcoat w/ 220 but for this project, it's probably not necessary. Then paint by hand with a fine paintbrush and any black craft paint. Then when you sand the top, get one of those wax sandpaper cleaning sticks.. these are like $5 and will clean all that paint gunk off the sandpaper. These steps are more labor-intensive but would give a better result.
Great tips, thanks for sharing 👍
All of these are amazing!! And thank you so much for not doing everything perfectly. I’m a new woodworker and actually nothing is perfect! But I push on anyway.
I love the wine rack you made, what lengths did you use to create the wine bottle rest..? :)
Very nice work on these projects. And, Congratulations on your Award. Well done.
Thank you!
