    Buying an SR20DET from a seller who says it's a runner is like a box of chocolate. You never know what you're going to get. Brother, you scored. I got SUPER lucky with mine, and after 9 years making 330 HP, it's still running as strong as the day we fired it up. That kind of power in a 510 is stupid fun. Congrats!

    Hey great run down on this, like your laidback approach (no BS). It's been asked in comments previously. Can you please please either advise or video on how you did the wiring to get this to start and run? You added relays to protect the ECU, please how is this wired up or what wires to? I'm putting an SR20DE in a boat so a simple wiring job is what I'm after. Thanks Paul from Sydney in OZ.

    For everyone wondering how he did it here's how: I was wiring a blacktop sr20det so the pin numbers I refer to will be off of that. You can cross reference the pin numbers from a blacktop ecu pinout to whatever sr pinout you have. Hook up pins 46, 47, 38, 4, 36, 109 to a switched 12v source. Hook up pins 48, 39 to a ground (I just used the chassis). Then in the engine bay, theres a constant 12v power wire for the ignition coils. I can't remember which color, but it was the thickest one. Then of course have the starter wired to a button and fuel pump to a switch. Then it will start up and drive with no issues. Use relays from the power to all the ecu wires for best protection.

    • @krunchynapkin2986
      @krunchynapkin2986 Před rokem

      Don't forget fuses too. Also just remembered this. Every pin on the ecu that gets supplied power must be supplied to as a T. So say you are running power to pin 46, You will cut the original pin 46 wire in half. Then solder or butt connect the power wire to both ends of that wire. You want the power going to the ecu and out towards the motor. I made that mistake at first and didn't have it Td off.

      @Retired-Not-Expired Před rokem

      Hey thanks, heaps for that, just one thing you have listed pin 46 for both positive and later for a negative. really appreciate your efforts.

      Long Gap - 2.1 seconds off (used between codes)
