My Built SBC Camaro Overheated BADLY

- Incidents happen with project cars often. I dig into my recently overheated 1978 Camaro to see if anything is hurt.

All 3 of my chevys have V belts. Ill have to keep spare belts on them just in case. I don't think you hurt anything. Its usually when you get it to 260 over and over again. That launch was badass btw. Engine sounds great.
Yep it’s the little things that bite you. She runs pretty good. I hope to get some 0-60 runs in soon to see what she can really do.
Wow that got hot. Noninternal damage ? Or head gaskets weak now ? I enjoy your channel as i like how you have a variety of different brands of vehicles.. im a Chevrolet and mopar guy but grew up with my father buying wte brand he could afford at the time.. keep up the good videos man 👍
Thanks man! So far it doesn’t seem like anything is damaged, but it may have shortened it’s life some. I have about 50 miles on it since the incident.

You should restore that Camaro , I’m restoring 3 of them all 79 Camaros

What are your camshaft specs?
It’s a XR282HR-10 cam. 282/288 .510/.520
