- Markus Howard is one of the most prolific scorers/shooters in College Basketball history. Despite nearly leading the NCAA in scoring for two straight seasons, he still has major questions to answer at the next level, most stemming from him being only 5'11".
I like Howard a lot more than most people but there are a lot of questions surrounding his shot selection, passing and defensive ability. He's still only 21 years old and players this good at scoring/shooting don't come around often and in this draft, he's worth a look in the early-mid 2nd round.
Comparison: Patty Mills/Quinn Cook

Love these scouting reports. Reminds me of DraftXpress a few years ago. Keep up the great work! 💯💪🏽
He may be undersize and a senior, but that jump shot is unbelievable. I can definitely see him surprising people in the NBA.
Players like Chris Paul & Steph have proved you don’t have to be the tallest PG, just gotta ball
A lil bit of Kemba but shoot crazy like Dame Lilliard. The Patty Mills comp is perfect for him
Welcome to denver, 2 way-contract axt
I'm still shocked he didn't get drafted
@@mechale111 size is probably the reason 5'11 is very small in the nba
crowley definitely if he was 5 inches taller he would have been top 10
@Alex Caruso Yeah I think if he shows out Denver will have to move Murray to the 2 which he won't be happy about.
Been watching him since his Perry high school days in Arizona he's top pick fasho
Starting to think this guy's talent to be a really good player in the league is undeniable. He basically dominate D1 offensively for 3 years. And did it against alot of talent now in the league
Love the scouting reports! Try to add commentary over the highlight reel like you do in the recap part of the video because you clearly have a lot of smart shit to say!
He feels like another Philly prospect that's gonna rely on Embiid and Simmons defensively. His shootings legit and Philly has a million 2nd round picks.
The Knicks are gonna grab him with a 27 pick
Bronnie Paul Leslie no bruh undrafted
@@CoulRanch Yup nuggets stole him, hes prob gonna be average but still a steal
if he's 3 inches taller than he will be first-round pick
i like guys that attack on offense as bench scorers. LIke Nate Robinson, Isaiah Thomas and Lou Williams. I think Howard can fit that role on the next level for the right team.
It's going to be interesting to see how Denver utilizes him. We have a log jam at PG with Monte Morris, Campanzo, and now Howard. You can't play two 5'11 guys in the backcourt together so I am not sure what they are doing. Maybe Campanzo starts and Murray moves to shooting guard (which he will not like). Does Howard go to the G-League?
Yeah wow, this kid is skilled!
Hoop Intellect I would like you to do scouting reports on KAMERON LANGLEY&RONALD JACKSON from North Carolina A&T.Langley at 6'2 205 is a point guard who was among the nation's best in assists averaging 7.7 apg last season and Jackson a small forward at 6'8 220 has NBA level athleticism.
Do you make those graphics at 0:17 yourself because they are clean asl!
Appreciate it!
@@HoopIntellect np you deserve the props
My opinion: This is why Ben Simmons does not shoot 3 pointers. Simmons has been practicing ball handling and passing for 3 seasons. Now he is next level. The 76ers will draft Howard and Simmons will have 10 assists a game and Howard will have 10 three pointers a game. lol. I'm just sayin'.... Great all around vid props to Hoop Intellect
This feels like it type of vibes
Markus Howard would be a lottery pick if he was 6'3
He's very davonte Graham esque, dude deff has a chance
Worth noting Carson Edwards has really struggled in the NBA. Short players rarely do well and especially in the modern NBA with taller point guards, they have struggled even more. Short PGs are a dying breed in the NBA.
True but a huge part of it is situational. Devonte graham is thriving in Charlotte. Would have been different if he was coming off the bench (3rd rotation) for a playoff team.
undrafted, damn no words
As a Nuggets fan, I hope everyone made a mistake.
Backup potential. Late round 2 - UFA
1st instrumental????
And 3rd????
Hopefully kings gonna draft him at 52th overall pick
devonte graham with shades of iverson and maybe louis williams
the amount of redbones in this draft is ridiculous. i guess the world is becoming one race for real.
Hope orlando magic pick him up
welcome to Orlando
he is a legit scorer but he will be a liability when it comes to defense
Who will draft Marcus Howard?
I think he would be a good back up for Steph Curry. Warriors got a couple 2nd round picks
@@marcusnunes7256 he is too small
kemba + dame + trae
Knicks should pick him late first round
Two true they have to first round picks the 8th and the 28th pick in the draft they better not blow it this kid is a shooter
Welcome to Denver
5’9.5 Is his height
One of the last round 2 picks in the NBA draft....ok scouters...
Alright spurs made it
Nope, Spurs need defense and versatil players. With the second round pick, Spurs need a guys like - Yves Pons - Perry - Jordan Nwora or a center like Tillie
He really 5’9.25
Tiny Gary Harris vibes?
Without the defense, but more offense
Devonte' Graham
Don't see him making it in the league.
