I googled ISIS deconstructing towers and now an FBI agent is calling me help
I discovered this band by accident back in 2004. Then I became and instant fan and had the priviledge to see them play live 3 times.
They were AWESOME
I saw them twice - Indianapolis and then Milwaukee Metalfest - and then missed them for the Cave In fundraiser show a couple years ago because I saw system of a down and at the drive in *embarrassed face*
@@aplus1080 Jealous. There are my all time favorite band since 2006. Never got to see them live because they never toured south america. Sucks.
@@aplus1080 sucks I missed them in milwaukee. I'm from milltown
I saw them play half this album at CBGBs. Brutal show. So freaking loud.
pa1pppppp
One of the most important albums of the 2000's.
one of my favorite albums of all time
yes
You bet.
Me too... so faaaar. .. I can play this one on his entierty bass guitar drum and keybord lol... wé don t give a fxck but... i love it like nothing other else
Wow. There wasnt a single bad track in this. What an album.
A quality over quantity band .. thank you for this journey
A masterpiece. What an incredible group, wish I could've gotten to see them live just once
I got to see them back in 2000. They played before Neurosis. Check out Neurosis if you haven't, "Through Silver in Blood" or "Times of Grace". That was the same era as this album. Great show, very loud.
Hell yeah brother Neurosis are absolute legends as well. TSIB, Souls at Zero and A Sun that Never Sets are my favorite albums from them
Was lucky enough to see them on tour for this album. Still my favorite thing they released. My ears are still recovering
I feel like I'm the only ISIS fan that considers Celestial to be their best. It's so easy to get lost in and has a great contrast between the heavy and soft parts.
You are not alone
Interesting take. I’ve really grown to like this album - not that I had any problem with it, I just wasn’t able to move past panopticon and oceanic for a long time.
But it really is a gem of an album.
Simao is wrong, you are alone
Naw I'm jk
Nothing on it compares to the build-up and climax in The Tower tho.
There is something that is established in this world that you can be a part of the way and the experience. I feel that its integrated within this album and this album especially within all of us. We would be most definitely within each other, more than just fan's but a celestial body. Anybody who has the appreciation for this band this album. Must be a part of a massive energy collection, that will be resonating throughout the entire universe...
That collapse and crush is something else.. all of them really.
glisten is fuckinig legendary what a song. 12:23 this part and the haunting melody that proceeds is sooo great.
It reminds me somrewhat of Acid Rock like The Doors’ Not to Touch The Earth
Now that I've heard this album, I never need to hear any other music no more.
One of the best bands ever!
The le jette imagery is really cool
One of the greatest openings!
AGREED! They have some of the SICKEST openings eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeverrrrrr. Mosquito Control is my fav but In Absence is another epickiller.
@@aplus1080 agreed. Poison eggs is a monster of an opener. So is TBATE to be fair.
They introduce themselves in Celestial (The Tower) :)
maravilloso
ufffff que fuerte!!! debería ser una ley que todos los discos arrancaran así... BRUTAL!!!
Caught them opening for coalesce in a Buffalo basement. Over my head at the time, was looking for strictly mosh breakdowns at the time. Wish i appreciated what i witnessed in that damp, musty cellar
Sublime!
What a band. One of a kind
I was looking for the Ísis smite celestial skin and i found it :)
Magnifique !!!
Awesome.
The G.O.A.T.
damn been about four years since i listened to this epic!!! glad i got to see them live a few times too id say this and miswuito control ep my faves
Awesomeness
This album rox my sox off
glisten and swarm reigns (down) are my favorite tracks i think.....then again entire album is great
26:53 Ohhhhhhh baby!
How did they do that soo good!
Glisten.... fuck yeah
17:10 there is something so devastatingly heavy in the monotonality of this riff. isis uses this a lot and i've never heard it somewhere else
Best ISIS album ever and top 10 post HxC for me... this one is... EPIC ! Fan since 2000 of this band...
Super
C .f.t is amazing
10000% AGREED 💣🌪👌❣
So good, right at 3:35 it gets out of hand.
Seen them live quite a bit. One of my favs was when they played with Jesu way back when.
You saw them with jesu?!?!?!!? I HATE YOU
@@aplus1080 yess me too 2003 in Paris and Belgium. .. Isis / Jésu / Dalek... EPIC! I was 15 years old... and same years I was going to London To see their master... NEUROSIS. .. at the forum in London... ah... NEUROSIS YES... but... with JARBOE.... top 1 Best live ever seen... at 16y/o 😂
Ive got a great picture with all the 3 band jesus isis dalek together with... me to imortalise this unforgetable life moment... real picture not shitty numeric ... of course. .. hâte me...
Aaron sounds a bit like Cobain in this record.
@@kimmolaine8069 never compare Aaron Turner to that overrated Junkie
I'm no gearhead but the sheer volume of gain, overdrive, whatever types of distortion they washed over the debut, with relatively lower recording quality playing its own part I'm sure, makes the distortion so much nastier than their other albums. Love it.
It's called a Gibson, Les Paul. 3 of them at once, all processed through extremely heavy distortion.
@@jfennell3954 Would have expected something like it. Appreciate it!
@@kinorunner2683 I saw them play this song live in a very, very small room twenty-one years ago. It was so intense. So loud.
@@jfennell3954 😍😍Which song?
Glisten. I saw them play it at CBGBs in Manhattan.
ich liebe euch!!!!!
💿💿💿💿
fuck im late to the party but this is bloody good
✊🎶🖤
Their name spelled backwards is yes yes in Italian. And thats how I feel about them yo.
In Tagalog, "Sisi" means "blame" sadly... 🤣🤣🤣
2:40 should have warned america of the power of isis bombs
Before they started throwing people off roofs in Syria they were a hell of a band. The best
that´s what years of indoctrination looks like
I played this for 4 people . No one understood
If they aren't metalheads, don't bother... 🤣🤣🤣
@@mrconfusion87 it's odd, half of them loved omg.
I really didn't like what these guys did in Syria but this is pretty good
You've got to take the rough with the smooth.
lol
Not funny
I'm a huge ISIS Fan and I love deconstructing towers..
@@downwiththemaster yes it is
Big Sad.
Still lonely at the top.
12:25 mark on Glisten... get the fuck out of town.
GLISTEN!!
