Immortal Irish music .One of the best metal bands in my eyes and one of the most underrated too. Alan has one of the most charismatic voice in music.
I love them :) I get goosebumps and emotional with their music.
Right! All right!
Never seen such great live act as thes way back in finland in nmmirock his band is something special
LYRICS : 04. Exile Amongst the Ruins (25:29)
The old enemies are dead and long gone, my friend
You are like the boy who cried wolf
A voice buried in another decade's fears
And those songs you sang, to what end?
We are the ghosts among the ruins
Without history, without nation
And without names
How you silenced with joy the words of noble men
Tear down the statues and burn the books
Strike their deeds from history
And turn the clocks to nought
And let year zero begin on my watch
We are the ghosts among the ruins
Without history, without nation
And without names
Remember when I said war was coming?
You hear the engines grinding fast
Express growing louder
We are grinding louder
Pray for me
You pray on your deathbed
You pray for me
We are exiled among the ruins
And we are ghosts among the ruins
Without history, without nations
Without names, without a future
We are the ghosts among the ruins
Without history, without a future
MASTERPIECE. Primordial embodies the all-time peak of dramaticism and sentiment in black metal.
Nice comment 👍 but they are not black metal i must say
This album tends to sound to me like prog with some gothic metal, maybe with a little black but not so much
The world desperately needs more metal with vocals like this
They've knocked this out of the park. This is a fantastic album
Great studio production. Sounds like a real band playing and not some of that overly produced sterile crap most bands release these days. I'll buy!
Listen to Ulcerate and Ad Nauseam
Youre so right. I hate this sterile sound of most metal bands today.
Not listened to Primordial for quite a while! Very impressed!!!
The drumming in 'nail their tongues' is as solid as a shit brick house. Love the atmosphere.
All the albums from this Irish band are masterpieces in itself. Amog those I love this release most. Hope that they keep on doing what they do best for ever.
Greatest band today (on some days, ever). Not a note played or sung disingenuously, a celebration of values olden and eternal that transcend this age of subversion. Upon Our Spiritual Deathbed is the standout in this all-killer no-filler album.
I simply love this band. The rhythm variations from slow to a faster and more blast-beat drums and the different sound atmospheres in their music are absolutely brilliant.
Some people say you like certain kind of music because your heart beats in a similar rhythm, I am the sceptical one, but this is IT_ I love your music. Thank you for making it !
Primordial FOREVER . Great album.Every melody, every tone, word, riff, drum...every song , YES! Irish...beautiful and tragic together !
One of my favourite bands since ''Spirit the earth aflame''.seen them twice live in london but seeing them in Dublin soon ...everytime i listen to them i am taken back to ancient ireland..they are amazing,
this is truely...a masterpiece.
Hail to Ireland!
Yet another masterpiece from Nemtheanga and crew! Thanks PRIMORDIAL for all your honest work over the years!
Świetna muzyka. Będę na koncercie we Wrocławiu!
Gran álbum como siempre Primordial. Ojalá vinieran a Chile alguna vez, falta un tour sudamericano.
Another great album by these Irish metal giants
One of the best metal albums ever came to existence
Where Lie the Gods is absolutely amazing. Whelp, I just bought the CD and T-Shirt. Can't wait to hear some of these tracks live. \m/
Overall fantastic band, badass riffs, awesome song writing, unlike a lot of bands these days I can sense emotions through their songs instead of just 5 to 10 mins of just throwing something together to make an album. My only critique would be to throw out the mediocre growling because his voice is beautifully badass and doesn't come around to often. Either way love these guys, would love to see them live!
listen to his podcast, and you will figure out why, Alan is not a Perfektionist, most of his songs are in one take. theyre not spending weeks to record. he and them do what they feel at the moment. they dont overcomplicate it. and thats the part i love. after all an LP is just a spectre and s piece they shared with us.
Stolen Years has a strong Anathema vibe. I love it.
Agreed. Not characteristic of Primordial, but still an excellent track
Is there a band called Anathema? I have the novel by Neal Stephenson who happens to be a metal head
once again another masterpiece
great band \m/
cheers for the upload.. will definately get around to purchasing the album.. cheers
Nail their tongue is something I haven't heard in a long time, and I think hardly ever from them. Excelsior!!!!
Fantastic Album! Ireland definitely needs more metal bands!
An xtraordinary job on this album Primordial... Great recording MBR, love it! ✌
“The great Gaels of Ireland are the men that God made mad,
For all their wars are merry, and all their songs are sad.”
wonderful, i have no words to describe this....
Where Lie the Gods ...Hail Primordial
Read a few reviews where they say this album isnt as good as most of they're others but i disagree,i think its fucking awesome and there best since the nameless dead !...Alans best vocal performance ever on this album also 👌
At last! Waited for too long for this! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Hail Primordial! ❤❤❤❤❤
Incredible album.
This is a great album! It seems however that compositionally they made some significant choices that make this album stand out from the last couple. Sounding more mature and refined in certain ways. Much like when I first heard Dissection's Reinkaos album which was wholly different in style and production quality compared to their other works. But this is really a fantastic work of music!
However, Stolen Years deserved at least a couple more minutes to settle down in my opinion. It ended too soon... if any song on this album, this one deserved to be like a 10 or 12 minute track xD
The two previous albums were a creative lull for the band, I thought (I know many will disagree but that's my assessment), but I think they sounded refreshed, re-energized and bursting with creativity on Exile... I hope that new wellspring of inspiration provides the goods with their new album but I'm also hoping for something a little more gloomy and reminiscent of their early material. Might be a bit too much to expect but I'm looking forward to hearing what they have come up with either way.

This sounds a lot like a reference to Julius Evola's 'Men Amongst The Ruins'
Oh, this is extraordinary!
Respect from Greece....👍👍👍👍
What a Fields of the Nephilim vibe in the vocals! Superb!
I have never been a big fan of Primordial, but the music from this disc is very good, great production and great vocals.
Saatanan kova ralli, voi perkele!
If I got disappointed by their 2 previous offerings, for being just a continuation of their "To the Nameless Dead" sound, but overall weaker, this one bring evolution to their sound. It's not another To the Nameless Dead side B, it's something new and, oh fuck, it is so good! It's really one of this year's masterpieces! Thank you guys
To Hell or the Hangman... Damn. One of my favorite Primordial songs already.
F......ng loving this !
I fking love primordial.... fking love 'em
Zajebista zacna muza perfekt rewelacja i moc wszystkiego co najlepsze w tych utworach.
Fantastic album. One of their best to date.
Fantastic ! I was very hyped for new album, and it is justified. Definetly on my top 2018 list. Correct me if I'm wrong, but, I think I hear Amebix influence in "Upon Our Spiritual Deathbed"
Upon our spiritual Deathbed one of the best tracks I ever listen to
Direct influence or no, there's definitely a spiritual connection. Solstice UK and Bretwaldas of Heathen Doom, too!
...and its fucking great as expected! Émotions Rock
Only now I am proud to be Irish, fuck yes Primordial 🤘🎸💪
they never put out a disappointing album ever!!! as great as ever!! awesome album \m/ \m/ hail to the gods!!!
Where Lie the Gods sounds at the Ending like Bathory.
Indeed, I've noticed that as well yesterday. I feel like it's the strongest track on the album, but the rest is excellent as well!
to be fair, Primordial in general are Bathory 2.0 and I say that as a compliment. they carry a big legacy upon their backs and they do it perfectly
ugly bastard of course there are Bathory influences in Primordial but most people started to talk about them after Storm Before Calm. If you watch closely their growth from Imrama to A journey's End and then to Spirit the Earth... you'll see that their 'Bathory sound' is actually a distillation of multiple influences. For example Primordial's guitars never had similarities with Bathory, it's just the epic melodies and to be precise ..the vocals. Also the epic side of Primordial has many (if not mostly) Manowar influences.
My point is there are many bands out there that are more suitable to be labelled as Bathory 2.0 such as Falkenbach, Helheim, Dark Forest, Graveland, Ereb Altor etc
@@uglybastard7940 what a fucking idiot lol
δισκαρα! το καταλαβαινεις απο το πρωτο κομματι δεν αφηνει περιθωρια..

F*** What a excelent album.
My Irish blood wakes up with some Primordial
Brilliant.Great production to this one.Although I liked WGMHF a lot I think it had a few sub par moments. Not this one.The whole album flows very well with some of their most mature sounding work ever.Highlights for me at the moment are nail their tongues, upon our spiritual deathbed and to hell or the hangman. Also I don’t get the view by some that stolen years is a weak track.Absolutely masterful riff
Wow what a great music 👍👍
Endlich!
Masterpiece
Fuckin killer album
einfach gut !!!!!
i m just discovering this band. wath is the best album of this? for my collection...
Hail to Ye! Legendary! Primordial!!!
Fantastici come sempre /,,/
For those who like or do not like Primordial's new album and direction (but their old stuff), check out the french band Nydvind's latest release 'Tetramental I - Seas of Oblivion'. Even touches some of the same subjects this album brings up.
jairdabrini Great french pagan black metal.
"A world with no land, an infinite ocean to earth's boundaries, to the end of our world."
jairdabrini they're very good actually. Tnx for the suggestion.
Now that's what I call essential comment. People should suggest stuff and talk about the genre's currency.
Nice! Ty
Thx for the appreciation/replies! This release was just meh to me but I still ended up ordering it bc its Primordial.
Two other releases one might want to give a thorough listen are:
Odroerir - Das Erbe unserer Ahnen
Surturs Lohe - Seelenheim (ltd. cd-box)
Masterpiece!!!!!!
Respect.
It's
Perfect
this is what i'm talking about!

I didn't know them until now but this album is great. I'd love to see them live!
The first quarter of the album is so much better than the rest.
Aqui curtindo esse último do primordial
I just received my copy and smelled the booklet inside 👃💛. I'm ready to face this new masterpiece.
It's the first time I heard them
Excellent band \m/
En Wacken 2019 estuvieron geniales!!!
Sí, coincido. Concierto apoteosico en Wacken 🤘
Que porrada na orelha.
Happy Saint Patricks day Y'all!!!!
Ότι καλύτερο εχω ακούσει..
Irish heartbreaker.Great dramatic music.O,ye-a-ah !!!
Great album!
I'm digging this, but it seems, from the other comments, like it is not their best album. Which one is their best?
There´s no right answer to that question, it dependes on who´s answering. But i think that the most emblematic is The Gathering Wilderness (2005). It was when more people started paying attention to them. And it´s a masterpiece.
mindtraveller100 In their first era, Spirit The Earth Aflame is strongly emblematic too, magical and deep production.
To the nameless dead followed by Spirit the earth a flame.
All the previous guys are correct with the album suggestions since they're addressed to a new fan. I'd go with their most successful album so far 'To the Nameless Dead'. But if you're looking for true quality 'A Journey's End' is the answer. Dark, melancholic, introvert and totally abstracted from all kinds of trends.
Finally if you want to know what womb gave birth to this blend of Irish melancholic folklore/black/epic/doom/goth metal majesty, take a good listen to the mighty IMRAMA \m/
Thibaut D. Akeley This band makes only masterpieces in fact ! But for me, Spirit and Nameless are ideal to a new fan who wants to start the band.
