This band is sadly underrated
Sheeeeit! Anybody who’s anybody knows this outfit will fuck it up for fuckin ever
Absolutely!
Correct.
saw them many times, even opened for them, always ripped.
Or even criminally. Easily one of the Greatest of Thrash!
Russ Anderson’s vocals live are mind bending. Sounds exactly like the album.
One of the best metal videos ever uploaded to CZcams.
Man, that Combat Tour 2 is one of the best thing I've come to see.
it might be.
I had gotten this video on VHS when I was a kid. It’s part of a festival that had Death, Raven, Coven, Celtic Frost, and many others. One of my all time favorites live videos I’ve had and still watch to this day
sama here, I have it on VHS somewhere.@@samowhat
He really nails the vocals live. impressive.
Yes back then he was on form. 🤘🏻
Glen Alvelais is fucking amazing! The solo in this song is one to be remembered!
Fucking legendary
One of the best solos in the history of thrash.
Kain Nosgoth yes glen badass!
And such a nice guy. Met him at Dynamo Eindhoven \,,,/ Got a guitar pick from him
shredding at its best
Russ Anderson is one of the most underrated and not talked about enough vocalist’s off our time. Including this absurdly underrated band. I mean come on. I first got this video on VHS. It was one of many bands playing at this festival with the likes of Death, Coven, Celtic Frost. I highly suggest everyone to watch the whole shit and caboodle of this video with all its glory from everyone of the bands in it. You won’t be disappointed🫡
They don't make em like this no more!
It's such a shame they went nowhere. One of the greatest thrash bands ever. I would rank Forbidden Evil with Bonded By Blood and Kill Em All as the greatest thrash metal debuts ever created.
They did reach Andaman and Nicobar islands, where I am writing this from.
So, not such a waste as you might think 😊
Thrash till death brother 🤘🤘🤘
Reluctantly, I admit that I did not give this band a fair chance back in the day. Why is that, I honestly don't know, 'cause they were pretty much a perfect thrash specimen. This live performance just goes to prove it. And like someone below said - the fuck-ups don't spoil it at all, they just make it even more memorable.
Darkest Darker it baffles me!
Same I hated chalice of blood and ignored them.. glad I learned that at least this album fucking rips
Russ really was one of the great metal singers in his prime
Hardly another band can pull off a song that cloesely to the album track. So fucking precise! Awesome! Superb band, every one knows to handle their instrument, so does the singer. Insane.
+libertydenied Except they play it and about twice the speed. Thats even harder to accomplish, hence why the singer has a few hiccups. Hahah
Try a band called Megadeth.
@@chokethewoke746 save fucking wishes lmao
@@chokethewoke746forbidden is better than megamid 🥱🥱🥱
One of the best Thrash bands EVER. Melody, ability and killer vocals and screams. 🤘🏻
Lol. My mom was a metal promoter back then and brought these guys to St. Louis with Sepultura and Sacred Reich. Loved this band so much I got one of their album covers tattooed on my arm.
Grandpa Kardashian show me a picture
what a cool mom
what year was that? i saw them with death angel in sept of 90 at Mississippi nights. saw them the year before at club maxx in denver with exodus. we hung out with steve souza and rick hunolt before the show . i saw forbidden in june of 2011 at the fubar.
You are the luckiest bastard to have a good mom my fucking friend
Debbie
2019 and still raging to Forbidden. My hair is gone but the rage has only intensified.
Lmao 😂😂😂
Same here Doc
I was at this show back in 1988, as well as seeing Forbidden and War And Peace open for Death Angel at the old Airport Music Hall in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Hearing this one live was amazing!
Kain Nosgoth m
I saw alot of shows over there yup!!
Can't be more metal than this
Future SLAYER drummer Paul Bostaph!
SINCE JEFFS DEATH AND LOMBARDOS UNFAIR FIRING FROM THE BAND is when slayer started to suck the chocolate starfish!
damn they sound good live
The guy with the voivod shirt is more stage climactic but the guitarist on the fender is the true underrated genius!!!!
Glen alvelais is the fender man who played with testament at one point. Craig Locicero is the Voivod shirt and he's been the founder of forbidden since its formation. Both thrashing legends. I wish Russ came out of retirement and regrouped with the band. I would kill to hear new material and catch these guys live one day
Amazing guitarist as far as leads go, but not the right guy for the band. Which is why he was kicked eventually. He was more of a shredder who wanted everything to be about guitar solos and instrumentals, while everybody else wanted to care more about songwriting and riffs. Which is sad, since I love instrumentals and long solos myself, and the first album has some amazing leads and melodic instrumental sections.
The Forbidden Evil album has 3 amazing songs: Forbidden Evil, Chalice of Blood and Through Eyes of Glass. All songs that are partly carried by their incredible solos and instrumental sections. The entire rest of the album is boring filler that I'll skip every time.
Compare that to Twisted Into Form, that has less insane solos and leads, but every single song has amazing riffs and really strong songwriting that carries the entire album. Strangely enough, the only thing I would consider filler (or just of lower quality), is the title track itself.
@@jordancummins3092 check out zetros toxic vault on here. Great channel from zet...he has a great interview with Craig
@@tttarms1970 I'm subbed to that channel and I've seen the interview bro. Killer stuff
@@Melodeath00 March Into Fire is boring filler?? You kidding me! I've trashed my room to that song so many times.
Man I love to see Fender Strats being used in metal!
Ironic cause he fucking broke it in half after their set
@@thedjentleman1662 Thats funny as shit.
Def top 10 best Thrash Bands. No one sounds like this and the riffs are unique.
No one..? Just a sped up rip off version of Maiden.
The vocals are fucking gay. Just like Maiden.
go away party pooper! @@nilsallen-bayes6363
Saw them live while they were getting popular in the Bay Area.
This band (amongst many others) reminds me why I have neck problems today.
one of the greatest thrash bands ever, to this day
51, from germany, tears in my eyes..., bought all the vinyl when it was available in germany back than..., seeing this makes me so sad..., a time, which will never see the light of day...
My favorite take away...besides mind bending metal... that Voivod shirt!!!
Where have these been all my life?
They are fucking awesome!
Current favorite song lol
Like the way he holds the note when he sings "Glaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaass"
Good choice
2:15 singer gets off beat and not a single member gets lost. The singer even starts singing faster so he can catch up! This band is amazing!
It was the drums
@@gaellopez-vt7ue I thought I was the only one that realized the drummer is always off. Thank you!
Thrash Metal Gods!!!!Bay Area Attack!!!
Saw them live in 89 twice, at the Dynamo club and festival Holland. Great memories. This band is one of the best trashmetal bands ever. This song is just like the albumversion, incredible!!
Greatest song ever!!!
Endiabladamente Veloces en directo!!! Eargasm!!!!
One of the BEST THRASH METAL SONGS out there. It would be unfair to single out individual musicians, but since I play the guitar: amazing guitar work
agreed
Most underrated band of the 90's better than metallica by a significant measure
Not better. Forbidden is more unique that that
Forbidden was good. Was lucky to see them a few times. Different from Metallica.. not better
Different, more technical, not better.
Twisted into form is better than anything Metallica ever did but that don't really mean anything
Alot of bands play "thrash" better than Metallica, the first three kill em all, ride the lightning and master of puppets were the band on an upswing peaking with Justice in terms of technical guitar play but alot of those songs are just standard song structures played for way too many measures with some odd time signatures thrown in. Megadeth had better technical riffing , testament, dark angel, sadus, watchtower etc. Granted some of these bands started after hearing or around the times of the aforementioned albums coming out but they improved on it, when Metallica moved on to do well....the jizz albums hahaha
I heard them today, for the first time...unbelievably good , great guitar solo.
Russ Anderson is a Bad Ass vocalist 👍
sadly forbidden please make a new album and reunite someday cause I miss you
monstrous sound...awesome song
Awesome. Classic tune. THROUGH EYES OF GLASS!!!!!!!! Hail Forbidden.
best thrash solo ever.
That's right, nothing else matters...
I think Off the edge has the best solos man but this one is stellar.
This song was playing when I crashed my VR4 Mitsubishi. Rus sounds unbelievable here
Saw them in Hayweird at Centennial Hall
This and step by step are so badass
Good times !
Great song!!! Still today amazing talents.
What a disc ... great years

Still perfect, seen live time 4 times, perfect thrash band!!!!!
Soo good
Still rocking this shit!!!
See the light is flashing through your eyes,
Deep inside your brain another stirs,
They're telling where they've been and what they've seen
Who is this that lives inside my dream,
Visions are coming at last to me,
Once I was blind but now I can see,
Should you believe what you see,
When you look through eyes of glass......
through eyes of glass....
My mind is one, now has the crystal power
It's reaching back where my life began,
Reflecting who I was and what I've been,
I've lived before, I've been many men,
Visions are coming at last to me,
Once I was blind but now I can see,
Can you believe what you see,
When you look through eyes of glass....
through eyes of glass
Crystals!!!!!!!!
clashing!!!!!!!!!
Evil's!!!!!!!!!
calling!!!!!!!!!
Cracking!!!!!!!!!
my brain!!!!!!
Now I'm !!!!!!!
insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I drift into abyss fast asleep,
Guarded by the spirits over me,
I walked along a winding path of gold,
Which led me to a world of my lost soul,
I've seen the light flash through my eyes,
deep inside another stirred,
telling where they've been and what they've seen,
Who is this that lives inside my dreams
Through eyes of glass,
Through eyes of glass,
Through eyes of glass!!!!
IMPRESIONANTE
Such a killer band! Guitars crazy good!
best band ever!!!!
Amazing band, talented musicians, great stage presence and energy, love their first 2 albums
I grew up with this band and saw them at One Step Beyond in Santa Clara and the Omni in Oakland. Had my run in speed metal bands as a drummer. Loved this band
very talented musicians.i miss the 80s
These guys are true hard core rockers. The first dvd Forbidden Evil is harder than the Twist Into Form by a long shot. True metal gods!!
The best band I ever saw live. L'amour in Brooklyn, circa '90. Every song is a thrash and technical masterpiece.
The amount of strength in their wrist to play this is insane, the got shredding n strum forearms of lord Zeus himself
I Remember the old days when I watch this. I have a Forbidden Evil album signed by the band and there manager at the time during a show at the Stone in San Francisco. Inside the album sleeve is the show poster signed by the band, and I have an unopened copy as well.
I'll never forget when best mate gave me this vhs, and told me to watch the amazing vocalsl and solo's. Un fuc ken believable!!!!
Glen is amazing - shredding at its best
Sounds Yngwie
Oldie but goodie
lo que más duele es que este sonido salió fuera de época! técnica velocidad riffs voz !!!!! todo😘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Totally amazing. Best Thrash you can ever here.
Dam Good!!!!!
Damn this kicked ass. Brings back so many memories.
Hey ill be posting My Forbidden video tonight, Please check it out.
I was at this show and my first time hearing forbidden perform. I was 19 possessed right into the pit. Greets from central PA.
Everytime I hear the solo, I can't stop having mad scientist imagery pop into my head. It sounds so maniacal.
Everything Metal should be FORBIDDEN!
Damn that shit sounds so tight really impresing
What band today plays with that kind of energy? None. Amazing moment from an amazing band.
This set is legendary. Absolutely killing it.
Endlevel does :D
Quite a few actually, the metal scene is full of good shit, just saw the black dahlia murder and they put off about the same level of energy on stage and in the crowd, insane show
Whem bands had testosterone and ballz !!!!Straight up
man if there was ever a place I'd rather be than stuck at home on quarantine....
"H.P. Lovethrash"? Awesome name, my friend, very creative!
Sound Holding up after 30 years. Those TAMA kits punch a beautiful sound.
Now I can seeee
Brutales lml 😎😎😈😈🤘🎸🎸🎸🤘
Holy fuck. I love forbidden!!!!
The best Thrash Metal band period. So much talent, so many great songs, so much fun. Forbidden deserved to be a lot bigger. Love ‘em until death. Metallica take note!
Never gave them much of a listen back in the day. Not out of hate. But in those pre CZcams, pre internet days when you could only get metal cds on import that you had to order in and had no way of hearing them beforehand and then had to wait months to get and pay through the nose for, they became one that passed me by. I can see why people love them.
The only band to have close to a voivod feel than anything. And they arent even on the same spectrum.
Those fucking riffs!!!!!!
Man brings back memories, russ sure had the pipes back then👍
...και τα μυαλα στα καγκελα!!!!!!
Forbidden evil forever!!!!
Έτσι ρε Χρήστο🤘
First album is a classic. Second is good. Third is ok. After that... They could have been great. Don't know what happened. But at least they gave us Forbidden Evil. Great album.
My backpatch has been the Forbidden Evil album cover for the last 15 years or so
why is it, infinite? The always changing, never changing...
🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🍺🍺🍺🍺
This fucking kick after 6 beers for me
The fuck ups make the video all the more spectacular xD Excelent!
MoGaDeX 6 years later and I couldn't agree more!!!
I know right they messed up quite a bit but this tune is freaking hard to play that fast live lol..love em!!!
