This song blows my mind. He did so much with so little. The tension in that beat never stops building until until he says “Good dog”. My heart races every time.

You instantly detected the underlying anxiety without a single percussion instrument in sight. Almost like Aes knows what he’s doing

Ayyy, nice to see some love for this song. I play it every now and then cry my eyes out.
Even nicer to see some angry semi psychotic dude getting so invested and cheering at the end, while all the bishez I've sent this to were like ''meh, didn't really feel it''.

This is one of my most favourite Aesop songs. Gave me chills first time hearing. Paints a very vivid picture with his words

This is such a powerful track. So short but just pulls on all your emotions as a massive roller coaster. It is Aesop at his most simple and no stacked metaphor and just a master piece.
I mentioned this track it so could have been me on this one but if not glad you did it anyway :)
So good seeing people find Aesop and connect with it, he is not for everyone as he required so much thought at times. I wish I could find him again for the first time again :) But enjoy your journey into him, for me it has been decades long now and still find new meanings in his layered lyrics.

Gopher Guts is an interesting track. My take is it is an apology to his mother, I think that is the chorus with the 3 as him and his brothers and parents letting their kids go. then the final verse that strips away all the verbal gymnastics and he is direct, blunt and to the point about his mental state that is like a freight train at you.

I love this reaction, brother. I felt those emotions with you. Such a beautiful rollercoaster of a song

There's a song called Grace on this same album. You should react to it. It's a very fun story song I think you'll enjoy! I'd recommend having the lyrics pulled up
