I've listened to his music since I was in 11th grade in high school. I'm 39 now. Haha. He is my all time favorite lyricist/emcee. Bars for days.

Same time frame. No Regrets was on the first CD-R mixtape that I received with Midwest rappers on it. It also had Soul Position, Illogic, Atmosphere, and all the heavy hitters. It was custom designed to get me hooked on underground hip hop…and it worked. I played it so much until the CD-R was unlistenable. By that time, I was on Napster expanding my repertoire
Good to see some older stuff. Bazooka Tooth was my favorite album when i first got into Aes. This is one of the best tracks on that album for sure.

@14:05 'cripple a kitten if a kitten is the culprit' is the line 2nd line i'd quote from it, 1st quoted is 'i got a CLEAR flick of Loch Ness sucking off Yeti' BUT i take the kitten line to mean that no matter who did it, we need to make sure they don't do it again, kitten or conman, it was before he got his cat but i think doing a song in honor aka kirby he made up for the threat

Personally for me, I don't catch much the first listens when it comes to Aesop, I get lured in by the beats and his flow, then I listen to it more and more and catch more and more bars. 😂
Also "Einstein-Rosen bridge" is basically just another word for Wormhole, a shortcut in space, a 'bridge' from one place to another.
Maybe you should check out "Crooked" by Evil Nine ft. Aesop Rock (Evil Nine is just the producer, Aesop is the only rapper on the track). It's another one of these old tracks from 2004 😘 It's pretty fire tbh

Do me a favor, go back and listen to something fast, like Gauze, None Shall Pass, The Gates, etc. and isolate the low frequencies. Listen to it in such a way where all you can hear is the rhythm of his voice. There’s a percussive nature to his vocals where it’s almost like he “rhymes” the vowels together like a drum set. It’s wild
