- Billy Barr lives a simple life. He enjoys tea, sitting by the fire and reading. He lives alone in a house he helped build in a remote Rocky Mountain location. But what really gets him going is the weather, and more specifically, the snowfall in his neck of the woods. So he started taking notes about it: every winter, twice a day for 40 years. These detailed snowfall notes have become a treasure trove for scientists studying climate change.

I hate winter. I'm really skinny so I've got no insulation or something, I dunno, my hands freeze. I'm from australia and its a summer heat wave right now (today was 44ºC (112ºF) and I only hated it because my summer school uniform has long pants!

Hot Cup Of Joe As a Canadian it is my civic duty to love winter and boy do I ever. Even if there's a -40 outside with windchill because ya got a good excuse the ditch school and snuggle up in ALL the blankets. And because you can put on as many layers as you want to keep warm but you can only strip down to your skin to cool off
