I went from my Rift to shadow PC on my Mac for at least eight months and it was great. But that was mainly because I did have a very fast Internet connection. But then I went from the Intel Mac to the Apple M1 or whatever it’s called and the application no longer ran properly. But it is a good solution for people who cannot afford to sell out $3000 for a PCVR PC. I was paying $28 a month.

Yeah even at the top tier of $50 a month, you'd have to be on Shadow for about two years to equal the price of a decent PC for playing PCVR, so there's a decent value proposition there, if you have the internet speed to make the experience worthwhile.

Thanks for the vid! Looking forward to however Project Avalanche works out. We still have the problems we discussed in the other comments thread, but this might help to unify the worlds of Quest and PCVR. The Liv news is great as well, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this manifests into new marketing and new streams.
With regards to meta taking other people's products and making them their own... sadly this is the risk of making something that feels fundamental to a platform. I hope that there might be some sort of legal recourse that allows people to get 'bought out' and brought onboard when that happens. Not ideal, but better than being left holding an empty bag.

Agreed. I think VR suffers from shaky marketing in general and LIV can only help with that.

I need a phone app that makes it easy to record MR. I used to use Reality Mixer and it worked well but then Eventually a meta update broke it 😢

@@samson143vr SHOCKING that a Meta update broke something that worked before… 👀
