The greatest, most busted non starter or legendary pokemon introduced in gen 2:
Delibird got the buff it deserved in the form of Iron Bundle (a mon which is ubers tier in smogon singles)

This is actually just a phenomenon in British accents where an /r/ sound is added between the last vowel of one word and the first vowel of the next. It makes forming the sounds smoother. To Brits it is completely normal, to the point of being unnoticed until someone with a different accent points it out.

Fun Fact: Mega Sableye is the only Pokemon that can have 2 abilities in a single turn. If a Prankster Sableye use a status move the turn it Mega Evolves, Prankster will give it +1 priority, then Magic Bounce will redirect status moves from the opponent.
As One is two abilities slapped together though so shouldn't that count too?

4:23 the reason those 10 points matter so much is cause garchomp goes from being faster than base 100 speed mons barely to now being outsped, this flips so many matchups that it would usually easily win to now be losing.
if you made a 111 speed mon lose 10 speed points it won't matter as much but a base 102 pokemon going below the base 100 line is devastating. Honestly idk why they gave it more SpA and reduced speed. Mega chomp makes no sense
They honestly should have put some special attack points to speed instead of reducing speed.
Mega Garchomp would reap souls if it had 120 Speed and 92 Special Attack instead.
I've also heard that Mega Garchomp is actually doing pretty good in National Dex thanks to Scale Shot.
Like yeah they gutted Beedrill’s Special Attack when they made their Mega and that thing fucks because they took those points and dumped them all into Physical Attack and Speed. I mean obviously Beedrill and Garchomp aren’t the same thing but like still
A lot of people harp on Mega Garchomp for losing Speed, and for a good reason, but another thing that really hurts Mega Garchomp is losing Rough Skin and replacing it with Sand Force, a non-Ability for a majority of teams.
If it got Tough Claws? Boosted Outrage galore, plus boosted Poison Jab and Fire Fang for pesky resists/immunes. If it got Sand Rush? Ubers. If it kept Rough Skin? Tankchomp becomes a dominant force.
But having Sand Force in a generation where Sand was either mid or you ran Mega Tyranitar in the mega slot meant that there was just no place for Mega Garchomp. Losing 10 Speed _and_ an ability is just too much.

Aerilate is also exclusive to mega evolution. Mega Pinsir and Mega Salamence are the only 2 pokémon with it. No non-mega pokémon has it.

Mega flygon is waiting to finally become real.
I was able to catch myself a Shiny Sableye (Long Story Short, I was trying to catch Kyogre in a Pokéball, and didn’t want to reset, so I had to go back into the cave to try again. Took me three tries of going back to Kyogre, since it’s mandatory for Kyogre to be caught and/or defeated, and since I never defeated it, I was just sent back to the Pokémon Center). I named him Gem Stone, and I used his Mega Stone to Mega Evolve it into Mega Sableye. I hope that I can do that again, but in Legends Z-

Also the fact it hurt or make them lose control is what make "the bond" important to overcome it. Mega evolution is said to be the ultimate power, so of course they need to sacrifice something to reach it..
In many media when someone need to reach their ultimate power there is pain and sacrifice before overcome it, for example Naruto when he learn the ultimate Rasen Shuriken it said that the technique hurting his hand and can make him unable to use his hand again.. But with "bond" or "love" or the determination to protect he able to overcome and perfect the ultimate jutsu..
Thats why the pokemon willing to feel the pain at first because they trust their trainer..
Gyarados will lose control and angry but with the bond the trainer will calm the pokemon and use the power they have..
And also so they could try to justify removing megas a generation later

Seeing as the Alola starters got signature Z-moves and the Galar starters got G-Max forms, I think it's also only fair that the Kalos starters get Megas too.

I hope that if Mega Flygon becomes a thing, it gains a lot of speed to give it a niche over Garchomp. With so few fast Ground types, it'd be awesome to see one fast enough to be used over Garchomp or Landorus in some cases.
Inb4 Mega Flygon does gain Speed, but becomes Bug/Dragon.
Maybe make it a special attacker.

On 12: Those descriptions are meant to demonize the gimmick because of the following reasons.
Watsonian: Alolan people don't like that gimmick.
Doylist: *_Game freak wanted to remove it._*
Something I don't think a lot of people have considered: the new Pokemon and forms introduced in Legends Arceus were also added to Scarlet and Violet so people could use them in a more "traditional" Pokemon game, including in online battles.
Seeing as we're probably getting new Megas in Z-A, there's at least a 90% chance that Megas will return in Gen 10 as well... meaning Mega Kangaskhan and Rayquaza will be able to terrorize the meta once again.
Commit Dexit on megas, and leave certain megas out of the game

A data mine of Pokemon HOME also revealed that Jynx had a potential cut mega, that even got as far into development as having an audio file for its cry.

One fact you could say is that some megas did not keep the shiny change of their original forms when the mega's original colours were the same. Most notably gengar becoming white, garchomp becoming pink, blaziken becoming less saturated, and if you wanna count them, primal groudon and kyogre becoming black.

Aerilate is another ability that is exclusive to Mega Evolution.
Garchomp's not the only less than favorable Mega.
Mewtwo (specifically Y) and Blaziken (granted, Blaziken would need to be Hidden Ability) both get more mileage out of using a Life Orb rather than burning the mega slot on your team.
At least with the speed mechanics of Gen 6, if Sand is already up, Mega Garchomp gets a turn of being an absolute menace... Right?

It’s been 3 generations (we’re in the middle of Gen 9 now)
Mega Evolutions haven’t returned since Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee which is 5-6 years ago in late 2018

i always though of mega evolution as a dragon ball-like transformation so it honestly makes a lot of sense that it's very taxing on the pokemon. it also makes sense that only a pokemon that cares deeply about its trainer would push itself to that limit

Mega Kommo-o with Dragon wings and some samuraï stuff would be very interesting and a Mega Dragapult with it's original appearance will be something
Um, Aerialate is also only exclusive to Mega Evolved Pokémon (Pinsir and Salamence respectively), so it's not just Parental Bond and Delta Stream

technically Mewtwo was the first Pokemon to mega evolve in the anime in general but Blaziken was the first one in the actual show to mega evolve.
Gen 1 mons (or mons from gen 1 lines) that need new megas: Butterfree, Fearow, Arbok, Raichu, Sandslash, Nidoqueen, Nidoking, Clefable, Ninetales, Crobat (technically gen 2 but it’s a new evo for a gen 1 mon), Vileplume and Bellossom, Parasect, Venomoth, Persian, GOLDUCK FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE, Annihilape (maybe), Arcanine, Poliwrath and Politoed, DEFINITELY Machamp as a counterpart to Mega Alakazam, Victreebel, Tentacruel, Golem, Rapidash (maybe a new evolution entirely for Rapidash instead), Slowking, Magnezone, Dodrio, Dewgong, Muk, Cloyster, Hypno, Kingler, Electrode, Marowak, the Tyrogue evolutions, Weezing, Rhyperior (maybe), Tangrowth, Kingdra, DEFINITELY Seaking, Mr. Mime just straight-up needs a new evolution entirely, Starmie, Kleavor (to compliment Mega Scizor), Jynx, Tauros, Lapras, Omastar and Kabutops, Snorlax, Magmortar, Electivire, and DEFINITELY Dragonite.
Gen 2 mons (or mons from gen 2 lines): the starters are obvious, but what about Furret and Noctowl? 8:47 This doesn't just apply to Megas, this is just how Gen 6 decides turn order. In Gen 6, turn order is decided at the beginning of the turns. If you're in doubles and do a Prankster Tailwind so your second Pokemon will be able to outspeed the others, it won't go first unless it was originally fast enough to do so. The speed comes into effect next turn.

Pokemon Go also uses Meteorites although not in the same way as shuffle, in GO a meteorite is needed to make Rayquaza learn Dragons Ascent which is what allows it to mega evolve
If Flygon gets a Mega Evolution and it ends up being better than Garchomp’s, it’s just going to rub salt on the latter’s wounds.
I had a mega latios in pokemon Y cause I had a friend of mine trade me a magikarp holding a latiosite since he had an action replay, never felt so special in my life
Flygon is one of my faves, hopefully it does get a mega in ZA

I would pronounce it Pokemon Legends Azett. Makes sense if we take into account that it is Kalos and we have the trainer Azett and his Floette (which I hope is available).
Hopefully this means we now have a rotation of “gimmicks” is in order so we are gonna get megas then z crystals then giganta then teras

Whats even crazier about fact 16, is if you somehow got an imposter pokemon and it transformed into a different pokemon whilst the imposter one can mega, it will mega into its previous state.
Example being imposter kangashkan going into doduo will mega back into mega kang.

I think what might be cool is instead of giving the Kalos Starters a mega form they each get the ability Battle Bond, the story potential for that could be pretty cool imo, I of course want new mega Pokémon though

Battle bond is kind of exclusive to Greninja though because of his connection to Ash in the anime and then they just kind of transferred it over to the games. It'd be a little weird if Delphox and Chesnaught got battle bond forms then unless they change up the battle bond design a bit.
