- Oooooooooh snap! When I noticed the "Stay High 149" piece on the train, my jaw dropped and I knew I had to post this up. Way ahead of his time and more elaborate and stylish than all the other pieces I have noticed from this era.
This video also shows a whole bunch of tags from late 1972, before some of them were getting cleaned by the authorities. These tags included many by Stay High 149 & Phase II amongst other FBI crew members, Cliff 159 and many others were also getting down and dirty in the yards, in the trains and anywhere else they could leave their mark.
added is some nice footage of an interview on the same day with a Graffiti writer who looks like he gettin interviewed somewhat reluctantly.
Edit by The Fluid Druid. Music taken from my mixtape series Crack Is Wack 23, which you can check on my CZcams account.
Amazing to see the trains with the very first layer of Graffiti, crazy to think how many layers would be applied over and over on the insides in the coming decade...

You’ve got some real treasures on this channel, good job!
Glad you like them!
West coast vibe to the tracks in the soundtrack. Mixed in a Latin Rascals style but could just as easily be Egyptian Lover. Eventually one viewer will know and hopefully share it with us.
My word, that Crack Is Whack mix sounds so authentic to the mixes of the time. Cap seriously doffed Fluid Druid.
Thanks for the kind words 🙏🏼
These guys were the pioneers of the Graff game. Now SEEN, COPE2, HAZE, CHINO, SONIC are making thousands of dollars selling their artwork

The Hitler tags are pretty cool
Maybe NYC, should have left the graffiti. I like it then. I like it now. Maybe we'd have less serious crime. This how people expressed themselves. Much better than the crime now.
