So, Ted and I are going to try and get the international truck pulled out of the swamp and get it up to dryer grounds future project that we've got to get to my house!

I drove many of these trucks as units that were close to new or even new as you guessed, that truck and myself are "Antiques". I don't miss those old engines as their issues run deep in poor power to mileage and little power. That said, a hundred horses in those times were pretty good old clydesdale horse power. Once cleaned up, much easier to use and work on.... get rid of the rodents wanting to live in it with something cheap as it gets... Peppermint oil runs them off and they stay away. It also doesn't smell bad. My dad had them and it graduated to me.

I would recommend restoration to it's original format the sound of old trucks running is music to my ears

i remember when I was a kid My Dad used to drive a 220 IH tandem for the local Sawmill, Hauling Lumber, I don't Remember what it had for an engine. When they replaced that truck the new IH 220 V liner had a 549 V8!

take the spare front end, or the old one if you replace it, make a frame that you can weld the parts onto, and make a giant BBQ or smoker out of it.

Yes that's how big the ECM were on the old International trucks back in the day! This is before laptops! So you had to sacrifice your passenger to gain 250 extra horses. 😂 Good eye I didn't even notice that it was on the passenger seat. Thanks for watching thanks for commenting!!

Put the other cab on it backwards and bolt it down to home made cab mounts

Instead of wasting time on that rear end, toss it away because of the very, very ,very low gear ratio. Replace it with a rear from a diesel truck which get speed and power at lower rpm. Gas engin engines require low gears to get the engine to their peak power output. I have a L N 800 Ford with a 534 gas motor. Gear ratio of 7.20x1 top power rated @ almost 4K rpm. The engine sounds like it's ready to fly apart at that rpm.
I do have a F-250 7.3 diesel 4 wheel drive I've been thinking about doing body swap. I just don't know what I want to do with it right now. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!

I guess I would have to say because it's been sitting there since 2008 and I'm able to actually have some time to work on it we pulled it out of the swamp to get it on dry ground get it loaded up on a trailer and take it to my house which I've been wanting to do forever people don't realize how heavy these trucks are and I have a truck to pull it now thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!
