- We found a rare Vw Bus in the woods of NH. These old Volkswagens have been parked for over 50 years on this abandoned old homestead. They are buried in a stream, it will be take a monumental effort to rescue them. They will be saved ! Bulli, split bus, kombi, van, vw.

I reckon you're overdue for another aircooled vw project Mustie! Maybe you're here checking out some possibilities! ... Just need a vision they tell me.

😂😆
Use 6-8 sheets of 5/8 OSB as a path to slide that thing out. Egyptian style. Happy to see these rescued!
You are proving how you are a hard, hard-core VW guy. What an effort to reclaim those "pieces" which were maybe a year away from being fully reclaimed by mother earth. Well on their way to basic iron ore. LOL.
You must have a very patiënt wife with a stellar job. It seems to me this rescue will cost more then it will ever bring 💥
Yea nah, iron oxide🤭
It’s been a long, long, long time since we saw your gluttony for punishment in all its glory. But oh, how it’s been missed! Grabbing the popcorn and seeing where all of this goes! Thanks again for sharing! Love these videos.
Lord I've never seen somebody that dedicated to pulling some old Volkswagens out of the woods
At least get some equipment in there like a tracked skid steer.
You're on the right tract, save all you can! It's all needed!
You need MUSTIE1's excavator or his mini backhoe👍👍
You'll get them out,,,your the great vw hunter of New England!!!
thank you James !!!
Your work ethic is quite good. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
Du bist der beste vw Mann.
Grüße aus Germany
Thomas aus Bonn. ❤

Nest on dash - comic relief for momma bird. Hunting bird sees her, swoops in, SPLAT! , momma laughs her feathers off. Teaches it to her kids.
That’s some job getting those buses out, good on you. Love the talking heads lyrics
thank you Al, yes I find myself using that reference quite often with my cars haha
@@5150mxVW Queen, “I want to break free” might be a good one for the buses !
Sometimes ya need a vw bus roof. At times when i want to do the unreasonably diffucult task that i could skip. You inspire me to move forward and just do it. Thanks really
Not boring dude. A lot of obstacles to deal with. Glad you beat the rain!
thank you PC, I got my butt handed to me, i didn't make any substantial progress so it was kind of a fail when it was 8 hours of driving for what ? :). I'll be back👍
It can only get better from here😊
I've seen this movie, I think its called "A River Runs Through It"
Looks like the sort of place i used to pull old vw's out of over here in the uk north wales about 20 years ago now it's all gone .I love the way you just get on with it .The thing is it will be worth it in the end top man
I almost always finish your videos slackjawed. Words never seem to come. I can only ever think, “I love this guy” 😊👍👍
thank you !
Yes Alan can use all parts he can get. I can't wait to see the 58 pulled out.
I can’t wait to see how you get them out of there I hope you do it soon please
Another ride on the Struggle Bus!
Dude! You are one tough SOB 🫵🏻👊🏻 that takes some determination. Well done 👍🏻
Hard work, but it's nice to see you persevering and saving the T1 parts and vehicles.
Respect!!!
Renting a Bobcat would have saved you so much work
Oh, come on, man! The video wasn't that boring! It had that part where the host tripped, fell and hit that bumper. That part was really funny! In the aftermath, it looked like the host was re-evaluating his life choices.😂😂😂 Yeah nah, I love your work and positivity.
Cheers from Buenos Aires, Argentina!
You do what no one else would do, hope the knee is ok!
thank you SP3425.... it was the shin , left a doozy of a scrape but it's good :)
Love your Stonehenge Engineering 💪😎🤙👍
As the new subscriber I think you rock.
Wow Jason cracking work . Gutted I’m not there to give you a hand .
Every time it rains that muds coming back.
That is a couple insane rescues . You are the man.
Jurassic Horse Flies and Poison Ivy!
Baaad vibes, even the spooky trees are out to get you there.
I would love to see you there like Andrew Camarata on a mini excavator. Muddy or trees in the way? Not anymore.
Put this in a playlist called, Forbidden Cabin in the Woods.
Your perseverance and determination is a great watch hat off to you sir and a big hello from Newcastle in the north east of England 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸😄
It will probably "once in a lifetime " you get a find like that 😊
Great videos 👍
13:43 Jay, but you fighting against it and winning encouraged me to keep working even when felt like crud, plus severe pain, due to my chronic illness/condition, knowing your condition. So, you had a part in helping me get Dad's 1964 Beetle he bought in 1968 on the road, so I can go to medical appointments. Wish you were not on the opposite corner of the USA, would buy you lunch.
By the way, up at five to attempt to get the shifter adjusted so not going into reverse. DayQuil thankfully took some of the nausea away. Well, better get out there before gets any later, just wanted to give you a big thank you.
Cheers,
Adriel
We enjoyed your mud shoveling program. You’re definitely dedicated to rescuing an old VW 😄 Good luck J! Those woods don’t like you and they scare me 🫣😂
Wow, great to see you back at it. You are fearless 🤙😎👍

Brother I wish I was there to lend you a hand.
Those buses definitely need saving.
Good luck bro 💪 🙏
Awesome vids love watching your vw rescues would love to be out there helping get them out
A couple big guys would have helped for sure. That looks like behind my house in NH. I was waiting for the horse flies. Good luck!
Good luck on those , hope you have time to grab them up . I understand it’s tuff working alone .
You need one of those 6 thousand dollar mini excavator. You find out who your true friends are when you hand them a Shovel. The Devil of the NH woods is right behind you. Don't turn around.
HELL YEAH RAD DUDE!! You are my Hero!!!!
Looks to be some good vehicles there. Well done getting half of the bus on the trailer lol
Very fun video. You will get them, you just need a couple of helpers
can't wait for the will it run video !!!! 😎✌🖖👌👍🤓
haha, yes , just 347,683,5150 more shovel fulls to go :)
@@5150mxVW 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Your like Don Quixote with the forest buses….love the determination….cant wait until you get them back, look at them and say WTF did I do that for! Love the adventure of it.

Excellent video Jason :) I know want all Volkswagen parts and keep lot vechiles repairs up also wild location for finding this spot! Just be carefull and be safe too ! I know trying too and hopefully get all ones you can too! Not Boring Video Ever!
Love your work and eternal enthusiasm and optimism 😀 how's the shin?
Where's Mustie when u need him?🤔 get a beekeeper veil for the bugs
thank you SH2163, the shin is ok , left a sweet bloody scrape but knee was what i was worried about :). M1 has offered ( multiple times ) , I can be a little stubborn ( and DUMB. LOL ) sometimes but we could be seeing Mr M1 in the future on this one :)
Good Lord, they hacked that poor Palm Green but good! I can sure use that roof and door for mine! How do I get in touch with you? Be careful out there, I'd be glad to help try and get the blue one out of the earth!
I think you would have been better off trying to recover that bus at the end of winter or very early spring, before the greenhouse grew back in and the heat set in. I got to hand it to you for your tenacity in trying to rescue it; I would’t touch that task with a “ten foot pole”!
This was a trip down memory swamp
Now that's what I call a Carcheological dig! Too rocky at my favorite wrecking yard to do much digging, though I have pulled the rare prize out of the top few inches of dirt when I spot some stainless trim peeking out of the ground...
Dang near need a dredger to clear the land around that bus! Looks like the dolly used to move it was still under that upper remnant of a bus, might be worth saving if it's not too rotten. Heavy-duty casters! Should pull better on its roof.
How's that song go...? "One piece at a time, and it didn't cost me a dime..." Just a ton of sweat-equity!
Awesome 👏
Yeah, I get it, bro. Been in similar situations hundreds of times rescuing buses. 🤔I often ask myself: "Why?", then keep at it, as I've always been a slave to this very activity. Kudos...👍🏻
Hey Jay,
Why dont you try "conning" Mustie to bring his backhoe tractor and some 2x10s or 12s for making a path for him to drive on. And also allow for the backhoe to dig/lift to get things out. Not to mention move that old ford galaxie.
Great video 📹 I loved it
thank you Rick, much appreciated
Love your videos
Awesome video buddy
👍👍 wish it was easy to help for a day.. when there are no flies
Wow 😮
Hi Jason. Just watched a video by Maritime Gardiner earlier tonight. Yellow sticky patch attached to the back of your hat. Horse and deer flies land and stick there. Can't bite if they can't move. Good luck with next time
hi, thank you for the tip, i appreciate it TA14
@@5150mxVW you're welcome. Going to give it a sho5 myself
Wow……the vw king
I know it's probably been said before, but mate, you should take someone along to help you.
You're busting you chops unnecessarily ... love your work btw
yes, agreed but the horse flies make it pretty miserable in there. I got my butt handed to me that day but I'll be back. Thank you
Keep going buddy! 😂
That place is very spooky indeed.
I’m wondering if you could construct some sort of robust frame above and around that bus and use it to winch the chassis upward enough to move it with a winch ?. All those trees might come in handy for support ….
Years ago, I cut the roof off a well trashed '60 15 window in Northern MN. I could only get within 150' with my trailer. Flipped it upside down as you did, clamped a rope to it at the center windshield pillar, and dragged it with all my might. Would have slid easier if the roof wasn't crusted over with lichen.
Ended up setting it right side up on some wide sawhorses, and trailering it 1400 miles across the Dakotas and Montana to get home.
Well that one is a tough one......Need some more hands on it.
Go back save them ! You can do it you are so close 😊
Haha, yeah only needed another half hour of daylight ;…wasn’t so much the digging , it was the 100 horse flies
I guess that 58 was literally circling the drain.😂
Fortunately, you have a crew to finish up the dirty work and an air conditioned RV to retire into! Excellent videography! I didn't even get a hint of any support crew, like all those Chinese women in the wilderness videos employ!
Watching now!!! HIT THE LIKE BUTTON FOLKS!!!!
It is a shame your engineering works from last year have partly failed but you can redo them. I think it is very likely that the bus roof was saved for the other bus. I say that because they seem to have cut it with care and a lot of other stuff is just dumped all around and this is not squashed. Jason take care man if you get injured there then no one will know and you need at least one good knee! 👍👍
I admire your perseverance. You do excellent rescues but some need to be left behind. That place is evil so time to walk away. But it's great content for the channel.
That’s for your work
The swamp that keeps on giving (horsefly bites)
You take on some big jobs mate
hi Mr M , this one might be the biggest :)
Tenacious!💪
Too bad I am not up there. I would help you, I could always use parts from that Galaxie.
Dedication 🤘🤘
As you look at that ford from the rear theres a big tree to the left ,what if you attach a large winch about 10 foot up the tree and the end to each of the fords wheels in turn. It might be possible to walk it away from the bus a few feet. Might also be possible to get some help from someone local with a track machine in return for some free advertising on your channel.
Sweatin' the oldies
"Okay, listen up. I’ve seen some strange things in my time, but the mystery of these cars in the woods might just take the cake. First off, let’s consider the evidence: the stream, the poison ivy, the tight space. You might think it’s just an unfortunate coincidence, but I’m not so sure. What if these cars were abandoned here for a reason far beyond what we can see?
Think about it: why would anyone leave perfectly good cars to rot in the forest? The answer might lie in something supernatural. Maybe these woods are cursed, and anything left here is bound to be swallowed by nature, never to be seen again. Or perhaps there’s something extraterrestrial at play. These cars could have been used by aliens for experiments, then discarded like yesterday’s trash once they were done.
Consider the weird weather patterns. It’s like the forest has a mind of its own, constantly trying to reclaim what’s been taken from it. The constant rain, the strange noises, the trees growing into the cars-these aren’t just natural occurrences. They’re signs of something more. Maybe these woods are a hotspot for paranormal activity, a Bermuda Triangle of sorts for vehicles.
And what about the objects found in and around the cars? The woolly mammoth tusk, the mummy-like object, the old horseshoes-these are relics of a past that doesn’t quite fit into our timeline. It’s as if the forest is a portal, drawing in artifacts and people from different eras and dimensions.
Lastly, the idea that these cars are somehow linked to a broader conspiracy can’t be ruled out. Perhaps they were part of a government experiment gone wrong, or a secret project that was abandoned when things got out of control. The cars were left behind, a testament to something that was never meant to be discovered.
In any case, the truth is out there, hidden in the dense foliage and murky waters of these woods. We just have to dig deeper, look beyond the obvious, and embrace the wild speculation that might just lead us to the answer. Because in the end, isn’t that what we’re all searching for? The truth, no matter how strange or unbelievable it may be."
That place has a curse on it!
