By far Rob is the coolest, Faithfull and original tribute to GM. His and the band slight own twist on the songs and music makes watching and listening a thrilling experience !!! All the best for 2023 !!!

What's his name? I wish ROB, ELTON (whoever he is) and BELINDA DAVIDS would come to Australia in a package concert. I'd take all my family and friends to see them in a heartbeat. The impersonation is pretty good but what's lacking is something George had that nobody else had. He had such emotion and vulnerability in his voice that took his music to another level. That can never be matched. Therefore an impersonation is an impersonation, decent effort anyway.

George Michael's impersonator is a great singer, actually...
His name is Rob Lamberti, who hails from Scunthorpe and he's been doing his hugely impressive (and spookily accurate) George Michael tribute act since the early 90s.
He's actually performed his show in front of the real George Michael and the great man himself absolutely loved it.
Apparently, George even once asked Rob to stand in for him when he didn't want to do some promotional duties for his '25 Live' shows.
Rob Lamberti is definitely one of the very best tribute acts around and his live shows are in constant demand across the UK and all over Europe.
You definitely need a great voice to impersonate GM

Rob Lamberti sounds rather close to George. I've loved Yog since Wham! and I approve of Mr. Lamberti. If he really wants to get more spot on he needs to get out of the nasal area and drop his voice more into his diaphragm and throat. George had those powerful baritones when he belted out the endings of his ballads in his diaphragm especially, but he also held it in his throat to add that smoky flavor. ("But remember this... Every other kiss... That you ever give... Long as we both live... When you need a hand... Of another man... One you really can surrender with... I will wait for you... Like I always do... There's something there... That can't compare... With any other...")
Actually, in JTAC, he was mostly throaty in order to make those higher registers sound more angelic, which added to the message of that song. He did it as well in Cowboys and Angels.

This guy has a great voice, but you put him next to the real deal and there is no comparison. Ive listened to them both and George is far far superior and natural.
The title of this BBC show was a little unfair to the participants! But I have seen Rob Lamberti as George Michael live and heâs fantastic
