Linda Valdez Rob Lamberti was often hired by George as a decoy. Remember the video for As with Mary J Blige. Rob was 50% of the George's in that video. He's closer to George than any other GM impersonator. 20 years ago you really couldn't tell the difference.
George and Andrew would watch Rob's show often. At one point, George walked to the front of the stage in a ball cap, stared at Rob, and nodded his head.
After the show, Rob told everyone backstage he saw the most convincing George Michael impressionist. His (manager?) laughed and said "that was George Michael!".
Very impressive Rob got the approval from George himself!
After George's passing, Andrew thanked Rob for keeping George's music alive. He stated "George loved your performances!"
Rob impressed him enough to fill in events for him!
Does anyone know if he won this show?? He, without a doubt, must have! The fact he have several members of George's choir/back up singers become a part of his band speaks volumes! All of George's singers and band were incredibly loyal to George. For them to chose to join Rob on tours, speaks great confidence his abilities! ❤

Rob lamberti sounds amazing! This is very eerie how similar Rob sounds like George Michael. No one is better then George Michael. I love George Michael very much.
He has studied George’s movement very closely, and his voice has a very similar tone to George. Only thing missing is the star quality but that’s what separates the top stars to just good singers. He is a superb tribute act though and not embarrassing at all. I haven’t heard anyone sing as similar to George as this guy.
George's music to me represents the 80's in a big way. We've lost so so many legends in the last few years..George's death I have to say I took the hardest

George Michael is someone who could never be copied accurately, as he was so unique in so many ways, especially his voice and genuine emotion whilst singing. This guy does a good job of it, but he has impossible shoes to fill. He can bring back memories and entertain us who loved the original George, and as a huge GM fan I say he's half as good. But full respect to the guy for doing what he does, he gets money, we keep the GM dream alive through him. If I need a dose of the original George to settle life down, it's easy to find.

Went to see rob at the Hilton amazing I'm a little sad I've heard he is going to America and has cancelled some of his shows but I wish him luck he deserves to make it over there good luck rob

I am a huge fan of George Michael and im sure alot of people are, but of course no one will ever replace him. I do have to admit that this guy is great too. He has so much talent and a great voice.

CZcams has given us so many wonderful videos of our beloved George . We can see and hear him every day . We don't need this ridiculous man to remember him ! George was full of humour and he would laugh to see him .

in my opinion his voice is very similar to GM's but his singing is sort of rushed up missing some of the key notes that GM did..however no complains overall he is a great imitater

I talked about this when i met Rob last year and i said that he should have won it. He said that something didn't click that night and when Belinda Davis came on as Whitney that was it. They show should have let Rob sing on his own.
