- Behold an off-road Lamborghini 4WD truck with a full luxury package, leather interior, and powered by a Countach V12 monster engine! This rare Italian SUV was owned by Sylvester Stallone, Mike Tyson, Pablo Escobar, Tina Turner, Hunter S. Thompson, and Muammar al-Gaddafi.

I saw one in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington DC in 89, with the ultimate driving accessory: Diplomatic Plates!
I don't normally like SUV's but this is the exception. I love this color combination, the sage green with white interior. I've seen a few for sale over the years and they're usually black, white or red. The LM002 is the only SUV in the world with a V12 and a manual transmission. Thank you.
I remember seeing these in magazines as a kid. Soo cool.
Thanks Dennis.
Same.
I was overtaken by one of these in the 80s in the New Forest in the UK, the sound was incredible and it was huge. Bright yellow too.
Back in the late 80's to early 90's, I remember seeing 3 of this in the NJ/NY area. One of them driving on the NJ turnpike and was a Lamborghini red color.
Pretty beefy and mean looking.
Thanks Dennis 👍
I seen one new at an auto show with my now 40 year old son. It was very very impressive to say the least. 18" wheel travel vertical, this was the ultimate off road machine and puts a hummer to shame. Of all the offroad 4x4 this was king. But for the price tag I dount any of them ever made it off payment.
250k I think new 500k now I belive.
Id use it what it was designed to do Lamborghini should bring it back.
Id strech it out to a 6 wheel drive with jump seats in the back motor trend has pictures of them like this. Its bad ass looking.
I saw one of these about 9 years ago on the back of a tow truck on the dulles toll road, Va
Once I laid eyes on this a couple years ago, I have always wanted to own one.
WoW!! Very impressive!! A RamBO LamBO!! It jst sounds kRazy mean!!
Always been my favorite SUV! Thank You for the video. Missed you this year at the Emerald cruise in. Happy New Year!
Hopefully I’ll be there this year!
super cool
Very cool!
Nice.
Cool machine
I wanted to hear it on
Yeah and maybe watch him drive it.
Jay Leno has one. Check out Jay Leno's Garage to hear it and see it driven. Very cool and very absurd:)
@@Catman66 i will thank u
Hell yeah Brother!
Wow!!!!
Dennis doesn't know what it is! Highly unlikely
Also did Gadaffi really get 100 of these, i dont think so
If I knew what it was then so did Dennis . . . .
Yes Gadaffi ordered them for the military. There is one close by to me that was imported from Libiya and restored. Kids love it.
@@someone28 he ordered a 100?
Turbo charge and add a snorkel it will really look mean.
I'm surprised Dennis hadn't heard of these before!
Super like, 😀👍
nice!
I remember a sinister black one on Miami Vice. And seeing one at the Detroit auto show 🐭👍
So do I. In that action series I saw it for the first time. Good old times!
I need it
Back when I was a kid, I called it the Lamborghini truck. I may be wrong but I think this was the first real SUT (sport utility truck). There was nothing like it at the time other than the Humvee which was not well known then. Lamborghini actually built a handful of earlier versions of the LM002 called the Cheetah to sell to military groups but never went into production.
The Isuzu Trooper came out before this. Actually, the Jeep Cherokee predated both of these by decades.
@@toomanyhobbies2011 Yes SUV's but not SUT's.
👍
There’s a Red one in Hawaii
✨Happy💫2021✴️
This first Lamborghini incursion in Sport Utility segement was continuous until early 90s. They looked like Hummer's pickups.
way before hummer. i always wondered how do people know actual number of vehicles.
I love his moustache.. miss him a lot..❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Is he dead?
@@Chip-Monk i also wonder about that.
Guys he is alive, he ain't dead
@@AJ6spd ok, thanks
@@AJ6spd but why did @Saurav write this comment?
I worked on one of those cars
Damn just too far ahead of its time. Now 400+ HP crossover/SUV exotics are quite common.
My little v6 in my Ford Explorer makes that much power
I'm afraid that is not Countach V12. It is from Diablo if I'm not mistaken
You are mistaken. The LM002 used the motor from the Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole 5.2 liter V12, and you could special order the Lamborghini L804 type 7.2 liter V12 marine engine for more power. The LM002 starting build year was '86 and the Diablo wasn't made until '90 and that used a 5.7 liter V12 or a 6.0 liter V12 depending on which submodel you got, and even though the LM002 went until '93 they never switched power plants.
One of these with Japanese dudes on board ran down down Hunter S Thompson in his Chevrolet Impala!
We might need some 50mm options in the future.
What are you talking about?
It's the big mounted gun you see on the Toyota's in the middle east.
@@lawrencefoster2120 ... 50mm ? That is big. 2 inches, in fact.
@@lawrencefoster2120 Christ, people who didn't grow up with the metric system should stop at 9mm.
The Browning M2 HB is called the "Fifty Cal" because it is .50 calibre. Half an inch. That's 12.7mm.
50mm is not a machine gun, it's a flipping cannon, bigger than the A10 Thunderbolt's gatling gun.

Look like when they were building this, they only had a very basic idea of where things were supposed to go. They just fit things wherever they could in the interior. And they fact that they made several of them is hilarious, because they didn't improve the interior at all. So funny
Italian job XD
Hunter s thompson..I Cannot see him In this...
it looks like a rolls royce and a tesla cybertruck
A thirsty monstrosity. $175- $200 to gas up. Dennis is impressed but I'm not. I'd take a Subaru Brat 1st gen over this dog.
Ha! You could buy 15 Subaru Brats @ 20k each for what this thing is worth. At least own it to sell it....for a Brat lol.
This thing is like a yatch or a private plane. If you can afford one, the cost to fill it up is inconsequential.
That is one UGLY Lambo.
Very nice 😍💋 💝💖♥️❤️
