We were so impressed that some people of different race would learn our culture and language. Afterwards my mother also obtain a meka doctor that knows fluent hmong, which was very helpful too.

And that guy in the middle of your video that popped up, does he speak hmong also!? I remember there was a group of mekas or "american" people in one of the churches in Greenbay who taught Hmong. Although they know Hmong, their accent wasn't as fluent as yours. They looked relatively around your age as well! If it is them, tell them sorry that we didn't come to their lessons anymore.

Haha, not from a website of course. Believe it or not, I started learning Hmong from another white guy and a Mexican from El Paso, Texas. Hahahaha... After 11 weeks with them I chatted it up with the OGs. Straight up. Them OGs have lots of knowledge. They're a little nicer to white guys trying to learn the language than Hmong kids who are "supposed" to know. I have seen tons of OGs just rip younger Hmong kids apart for not speaking the language. I think people need to just humble themselves, admit they can't speak it and look to their elders for help. Most of them are sitting at home or in the community gardens growing stuff, so just spend time with them before they're gone! They can teach you so much!
@jayvion I wouldnt use the word recruiting. More like sharing what makes us happy and inviting people to try it out. You can always say no so dont complain that we are there :)

In that vid you were good already but were still kinda of pausing and looking for words. Pronouncing it correctly is one thing but to use it correctly and have the word effect tone afterward is another which u can do both. the other video is actually newer than the other one. this one is super old. almost 3 years old really. I flow better in this video because it's when I just recently got home from serving a mission. I have lost a lot since then since I don't speak it often anymore
