The young man pointing the wrong way is John Gallagher Jr who grew up to be on The Newsroom. More importantly, he was in the original cast of the excellent Spring Awakening on Broadway about 5 years after this Wett Wing episode was filmed.
I noticed as well which also made me think he must have made an impression on Aaron Sorkin all those years ago!

Actually, Aaron Sorkin didn't remember him when he was cast in The Newsroom. It was only after a few weeks of shooting that Sorkin realised and excitedly confronted him. It's a pretty funny story they both talked about in interviews. @@TheStuport

I thought the guy playing Tyler looked familiar and sure enough, it's Jim Harper from The Newsroom.
I've seen the show many times and CJ tries to explain it and I have no idea why "I'm just a wife and mother" would make anyone think the first lady is a lesbian. Can someone help me out here?
