Overnight Sleeper Train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai 🇹🇭 EATING ON A TRAIN 🍱 🚆

Bangkok to Chiang Mai, Thailand - We thought it would be fun to travel to Chiang Mai on a sleeper train. So, we ended up going to Bang Sue Grand Station in Bangkok to catch a second class sleeper train to Chiang Mai.
The brand-new train station, Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal, was amazing. I don’t know the exact name, as it is also known as the Bang Sue Grand Station, but this station was so large and clean. They had an amazing food court, with food vendors similar to that of street food vendors. We had to stop and try some Tom Yum Noodles and Crispy Pork & Rice for our late lunch.
Also, they had many food stalls and kiosks, where you can pick up food while you wait. The station had charging ports and also lockers to rent for your luggage. I didn’t know they offered food for purchase on the train, so I picked up some food at a 7 Eleven vending machine. The food on the train was good and affordable. They even offered you breakfast, which you order the night before and they will deliver to your seat in the morning. Also, they came around the next day with juice and coffee for purchase.
The 2nd class sleeper train tickets were around $36 USD one way. I would recommend purchasing the tickets prior to going to the station. The trip was overall a fun experience and well worth a try.
