- čas přidán 26. 12. 2008
- Swan Lake, was the first of Tchaikovsky's ballet scores, composed between August 1875 and April 1876, with additions and revisions in February and April 1877. The ballet's original title, as indicated on the manuscript score, was The Lake of Swans or Lake of the Swans, and its story derives from a German fairy tale.

Tchaikovsky has and will always be my favourite classical composer. His pieces are timeless and promote such explicit feelings. I want to dance along, so beautiful!
agree 100% shall I lead or you, lets dance the night away
Zuzu is a Lion omg me too! I remember when I first heard this music and my skin started to tickle and I felt I lived it before...
Gotta add my +1 to this sentiment. He's bold, timeless, and his music elicits excitement, fervor, and passion!
Same!😊
No one else can compare! ♥️
Hearing this, I'm picturing a grand ballroom with crystal chandeliers, and several people, all dressed to the nines, dancing around the floor, not a care in the world. Just people at a party, having a good time.
1895 perhaps.
The Golden Age of Rapture
Yes, the Grand Ballroom of the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. The warm chandeliers and gilding contrast against the snowy evening visible through the windows.

For my part, I imagine me, a commoner who gets to be a lucky girl for one night from just a random envelope. I showed up with a beautiful dress that would outshine the other women in the ball, and I danced with a handsome looking prince with long hair who's in fact a knight in shining armor 🤭🤌 a girl can dream!
I am writing a story set in 1886 and the heroine chooses this waltz as the highlight of her engagement ball.

My life is a classical music marathon. Life is sweet. It's the only music that doesn't put me to sleep these days.
I'm listening to this and other versions because I'm playing this for my Christmas recital. Piano is the best instrument out there, fuck all of you G-stringers and wood blowers

This music makes me feel like being a better person.
It doesn't make you a better person though

Sometimes I can't get over how wonderful Tchaikovsky's compositions are! He's a true genius. His music always gets to me; sometimes I feel like I'm in another world, or everything's magical, or I'm falling in love all over again
Soso Li falling in love...with someone or yourself. That's true magic bro
Soso Li malayala amazing
Soso Li it's beautiful
It's only because he was composer of the romantic period, which is just as it's called romantic period truly magical soft beautiful and romantic and full of amazing compositions.
agreed. he might be my favorite.
I think when Tchaikovsky wrote swan lake he felt happy writing it especially when he was writing the waltz
Andrew Ross but hes depressed
Tchaikovsky was sometimes down and sometimes happy like everyone else. Don't accept the standard opinion, that he was a neurotic. It is not true.
I think he was down more often than your average "everyone else", considering he was gay in an epoch and country when / where being gay still carried a great social stigma. This, coupled with an introvert disposition and the sensibility of a musical genius, was a recipe for unhappiness.
@@normstrong1 It's true; I recently read a biography about him...
@@Ameretat010 Except he wasn't actually gay. This was a rumor started by his critics. There was never any evidence of this and its really just a sad mental state of the west to constantly push this.

Tchaikovsky is a genius!!
Bach, also
Jesse Joodt Alright, we kind of understood Rosetta's message. Isn't it enough?
You are correct - Tchaikovsky IS a genius… his music is timeless. When he came to America in 1891 - after inaugurating (and conducting in) Carnegie Hall - he later stayed in Taos, New Mexico; his hosts took him out to the pueblo one night to experience the Indians dancing. My take is: that's when he looked up and really saw the stars… and he made his peace with death. He died two years later… but his music is timeless.

Very emotional personal history. I used to listen to Tchaikovksy while reading 19th century Russian classics (Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Nikolay Chernyshevsky, Gogol, Pushkin, Lermontov etc. The golden era of world literature maybe. +Ricardo Madrid you just romanticize it, that's all... who knows if that was what you would have really been doing.

Thank You Tchaikovsky!
+Emily Staplehurst How did your music homework go?

my teacher said that I made good points, however I did not comment on the pitch or dynamics of the piece. How did we go from this to twerking?
+Darth Imperious Or lack of Further Improvement...Maybe down to your example you have provided here.
TheTaintedTango No, actually more so the example you are currently providing... It's called ignorance. You are condemning me by reflex action because it is indoctrinated into the existence of yours and everyone surrounding you without knowledge of any facts having to do with the matter.. I am a geneticist, do not attempt to claim all genomes are equal because no tangible evidence nor reason suggests this, in fact blatantly quite the opposite; you simply just choose to 'believe' this is not so because you consider it hateful/wrong or what have you. I only disdain not hate, and consider things pertaining to reality, not the fallacy of morality of which is only an agreed upon doctrine of right from wrong. Ignorant sheeple.
Darth Imperious Well i'm going by the Assumption that your Harboring a bit of Distend for Africans. And my Reply was nothing more than an Attempt to rectify what i felt was a very Broad statement by yourself. Basically to stop you Having your One sided way.
Now for the Bottom part of your Paragraph. Talk with me Properly or not at all... Im not one of your Sheeple.
Now your a Geneticist huh? So in Words that aren't too specific to your Field explain to me what Genomes Inhibit Africans in the Modern world.
Darth Imperious I do understand what you trying to get across, And yes it is true to some extent but you cant say its a Universal thing. You know as well as i do that where talking 0.001% of..."us" Are actually receiving Benefits from our Genes that Significantly improve our usefulness in a modern world. Now yes that does mean that if we kept it in the Family for say we would Advance a lot quicker than we would if we Crossed gene Pools. But its still at its very core Morally Wrong.
People in Africa are already been introduced to technology from The rest of the world and giving time there Of-springs will more than Likely start to Grow up surrounded by Stimuli directly associated to an Intellectual Upbringing.
C'mon dude its 2015. Get off the Racist High Horse and let it pull the Wagon its Tethered to a little easier ok? If Humans make it to 2200 Without Cultural Degradation or Downright annihilation then The "Races" Probably will have Things there likely to be Inherently good at... Even Sub Saharan's.
Now since you have got me Feeling so racist for saying Inequalities that yes may be there but still have no Place in Logic. I may as-well mention Asia or more Appropriately China. They had a long long time without War, With many of there Peasantry using Machinery and Developing in ways we still have not seen here yet. They had a Culture Based on Precision even before us so is it not there Right to Avoid us? To Shame us online?
Oh but thats right. Nordic people look pretty.
Darth Imperious So what would you have us do? If we are not going to be Supportive to our Fellow Humans on the Basis of there Genes then what hope do we have of Surviving in the Changing Universe. I do expect Humans to encounter another species one day and for them to be Far more Advanced than us...Are we to expect the same Vibe i'm getting off of you?
If not to be introduced into Technology and helped into there Next "Evolutionary stage" Then what?
And for the Love of god dude I'm not a Sheeple. I make my Decisions on a Case by Case basis and Use facts and Logic. My Morality is what comes after words, And its a useful trait.
no movie brought me here I had always love these beautiful masterpieces

Human beings are really magical... The ability to make such a world from those natural resources, delicious food from basic ingredients and such sonoric masterpieces coming from the mind of one man only...
