- The Nutcracker is a two-act ballet, with a score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Tchaikovsky made a selection of eight of the numbers from the ballet, forming The Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71a, intended for concert performance. The Nutcracker Suite should not be mistaken for the complete ballet. The outline below represents the selection and sequence of the Nutcracker Suite culled by the composer.

Having ads in the MIDDLE of a piece should be illegal
I've heard that if you skip to the end and then click replay you don't get ads.
I'm not sure if this works, since I use an adblocker and don't get them anyways
Blame music companies for copyrighting the video :/
Use uBlock Origin. It's free and a lot better than any other adblockers in my opinion
@@murphyjacob6759 Do not use adblock. It may seem like a good solution for avoiding ads now, but because of adblocks youtube and other websites doesn't earn enough money form their ads. Therefore more and more sites will transition to a subscription based service, and maybe youtube will too. They have allready begun using two ads in a row to get the most out of their ads, and they are offering a paid service without ads, and if we continue to use adblocks, maybe all of youtube will be accesable only to paying users.

I am going to be the annoying person here and mention that Tchaikovsky was actually from the Romantic Period (One of my favourites). Although this music may sound quite similar to Classical, it has a lot more emotion (created by dynamic changes etc.) which is what helps make it so interesting. This became so memorable to me because of this childhood movie.
(Edited. I've learned a lot of classical pieces and some composers from Tom and Jerry films. I am so grateful that I had a wonderful childhood, and that I get to hear these beautiful pieces when I was young because honestly, our music class before wasn't keen enough to let us hear the pieces of the composers they taught us about.)
Same, but especially on The Arabian dance song.
I was talking about that with my sis a couple days ago, such a good movie
I remember watching that movie around 10 years ago and that, along with other Tom and Jerry works made me appreciate the beauty that is the classical genre and boy am I grateful for that.
Oh wow, I haven't seen that one in sooooo long

Hard to believe Tchaikovsky wasn't pleased with this.
SeanusAurelius he was pleased with the Suite, but he wasn't pleased with the show itself. At least that what I've been told.
Tchaikovsky was decently satisfied with the music, otherwise he wouldn’t have allowed it to be used in the ballet. The show itself was not successful when it was first premiered. That’s why he chose several pieces from it to preserve for the future. That’s known now as The Nutcracker Suite.

I've known Tchaikovsky's music for years now, ( I am so old), but his invention and beguiling melodies remain fresh. So unjust that for several decades his music was held in contempt by those 'in the know'. It is great to learn that new and younger people are warming to him too. He would be so glad to know that his endeavours were not in vain...He was surely one of the greatest composers of music.
Tchaikovsky was the most magnificent composer. His music stirs the heart.
Got sick of All I Want For Christmas Is You, listening to this is very refreshing

I love Tchaikovsky's music so much, he is my favorite composer. I am not very knowledgeble in classical music but I know he has the reputation of being one if not the best melodist and I think this is the best example: of the eight parts listed in the description, 5 of them are very recognasiable and iconic to me. If I had to choose one word to describe he music I would choose fantasy because it's the first music I listened to that gives me escapism the same way books and tv shows do. His music transport me to a fantasy. Even though in my family we never had very happy christmas, the Nutcracker Suite reminds me of memories i never had of christmas.

Hi there!
i have homework with this song🙃
Tchaikovsky's this composition is truly matchless. All the pleasures in the world cannot measure up to it and this is not a hyperbole ! The composition is mesmerising . Tchaikovsky , you are immortal.
A truly astounding piece of music. Tchaikovsky achieves in 22 minutes what other composers didn’t approach in a lifetime. Thanks!
Has anyone here remembered Tom and Jerry: A Nutcraker Tale?
This became so memorable to me because of this childhood movie.
I haven’t heard about that movie in years
Yes i do
I was looking for somebody’s comment about that movie that made my childhood so beautiful
Yes. , I do !!!
@@Alex-pj8rq me too !
Even though in America, I guess, this comes alive in December.
Always a joy to hear. In the 80s I would buy this on cassette.
That and 1812 Overture.
Random fact lol but the Nutcracker is *the* most popular ballet in the US
