The one thing that stands out to me and I would argue for any observer, is that for Iowa it was a TOTAL team effort! The results were from a number of Iowa players. An excellent effort and a joy to watch!
The time out was actually a bad call. Should have passed to Clark who was right there wide open they would have had to have fouled her. Two more points right there. Instead they inbounds to Hannah who puts up two bricks.
Nebraska should've won but Clark's competitive fire just took over. She did everything like a girl possessed. Doesn't happen often when a team is down 8 with two minutes left and comes back to win. Only all time greats do that.
Nebraska almost won because they shot 41% as a team from 3 point range. Never before & never again. Clark in the last parts of regulation & OT just wouldn't have it.
@vh448 Iowa was down even farther than that in the first half. Changing things up in the 2nd half made the difference. Nebraska played a hard game, nobody gave up or quit. Kudos to our neighbor to the west. If you have this much talent next year, everybody had better be ready for you. It was no fluke that you beat us at your home.
Just couldn’t have scripted the last minute of OT any finer for the Hawkeyes. Dagger after dagger. They broke the hearts of the Huskers and their fans! Incredible win. GO HAWKS!!! 🖤🏀💛
I love when Hannah shot her free throw, Kate’s interactions with Hannah was so cute and adorable! That. was. hilarious. 😂 🎉🎉🎉 Hannah, as we know, has a tough time with free throws, but no sweat, Kate’s got her…. :)
Great game played by both teams. Nebraska's defense especially looked tough, and always had an answer. It was a very physical game, and Iowa just had more points when time ran out. Women's basketball is absolute fire
I don’t think “good” is a strong enough word. I think she will be exceptional. She consistently makes it from 60 feet out, but is not afraid to take it inside. Her assists are amazing to watch and remind me of the great Sue Bird. I believe Caitlin Clark will be one of the legendary players of the WNBA.
I'm guessing from the outcome that the players on Nebraska's bench weren't up doing a dance when this happened. That was probably in the first half, but I'll have to watch the game again to see. I don't think I've ever seen Iowa do that until the last 2 or maybe 3 minutes of a game when they're up by 30.
If I were a coach in Women's college basketball and I had 3 seconds left lN a national championship ...of all the college players. It would be caitlin who took that shot! real talk.
except for Florida Gulf Coast tourney (k st rematch). It did had record attendance though. B10 networks 3 most watched womens games of any sport all time was Iowa/Penn St in Feb, Iowa/Penn St B1G quarter (1 million +) and Iowa/Michigan B1G semi (1 million +). The Iowa/Ohio St season finale had over 3 million viewers and the Iowa/Nebraska champ game on cbs had over 3 million (almost as many as Duke/UNC mens day before) and overtime spiked to 4.5 million tv viewers. the most watched womens college sports event on cbs in 25 years. The 20,000 seat target center was sold out for all sessions for 1st time ever in W B1G tourney.
Great game and win , luckily Kelly Marshall didn't get a technical/ unsportsmanlike foul. if you look at 3:56 after the block you could argue she threw the ball at the Nebraska bench. Awesome game though.
i made it private. as i do from time to time on some videos. i havent forgot about your question. i may end up just addressing it in a video. i just been suffering some mental burnout lately.
now days yes, im pretty sure. it use to be shorter than men I think. or was the old HS line. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I see some courts with 3 arches. HS, old college women and then mens??? or HS, college, pro???? most of CC's are from 10 feet behind so no question she is shooting from beyond NBA range
I'd really almost rather see her go try the NBA. She's not small, around 6'. The game is designed for pick and pop shooters now, and that's her game. She's absolutely the only female player I'd ever say that about. I'm incredibly biased against the female game vs the guys. She has a real NBA shot from deep. She has a lightning fast release. You can scheme her in. I hope she's the answer for the WNBA. I fear it'll be Candace Wiggins 2.0 with real media coverage. She's a straight white girl entering the most expensive LGBT club in the world. She might end up being more Riley Gaines than Pete Maravich.
What? Who me? We watched girls 6 on 6 in Iowa growing up. I played Jr high ball in the gym used for the movie new providence featuring ava Hawthorne of the drake team. I listened to the marylands coach's little sister Stacy freese play at iowa state through broacast.com radio streams if game not on TV. She sent me a team signed poster. I also played intramural ball in college and church league. I used to be able to grab rim.
I wanted her to play her 5th year at Iowa and join the coaching staff at Iowa. Maybe after a few years in wnba we will see her back at Iowa when Lisa retires.
I’ve watched this clip a dozen times already!
I’m so impressed with how the Iowa players kept their composure during the entire overtime!
Same here.
The one thing that stands out to me and I would argue for any observer, is that for Iowa it was a TOTAL team effort! The results were from a number of Iowa players.

Gabbie Marshall's reaction when Stuelke's free-throw dropped is gold.
Even Hannah was surprised she made one after the 2 bricks. 😮
Such a smart play by Gabbie. Makes the block, grabs the ball and calls time out.
And! Inbounds the ball to keep the possession. That was impressive!!!🎉
The time out was actually a bad call. Should have passed to Clark who was right there wide open they would have had to have fouled her. Two more points right there. Instead they inbounds to Hannah who puts up two bricks.
@@marksauce2383 The time out was to be able to move the ball down to their end of the court.
Both of these teams are fantastic! The young ladies on both of these teams should be very proud. The NCAA tournament will be an exciting one for sure!

A great game and two classy teams! No fights or taunting, unlike the SEC fiasco.
Don't hate on the different styles of the sport and how they play it! SEC just more physical!
@@LovelyBonsaiTree-ku4lo let's be real, SC and LSU have that thug mentality where others know how to act appropriately.
@@LovelyBonsaiTree-ku4lo Sorry, I have no respect for their "more physical" style of play.

Everyone is waiting to see where CC's limits are. I guarantee many thought this was the game. But nope...this girl here...she is HER. Unreal.
Dunking is where the line is drawn. Lol. I wish she stayed 1 more year
@@SgtJoeSmithdunk only 2 pts. Clark's 25 footers 3. I'll take Clark...

That Gabby Marshall plays her ass off. She’s the hardest working player I’ve ever seen. She’s pretty cute too.
I enjoy watching woman basketball than NBA period
Actually women’s college basketball is more entertaining than men’s college and pro and women’s pro.
congrats to IOWA team. I'm convinced Caitlin Clark will be an icon in women basketball
Thank-you, Joe! Great ball!
Pure shooting and great passing..
Miss Clark and Mr. Larry Bird should be exchanging autographs!
Both teams played great. Great game Gabbie
Salute to All the women's Iowa players! Wow.. so amazing.
This last minute played out like a movie.
She's an all around ballplayer, not just a 3 shooter. she see's the court, and see's her players. She should be a good pro player.
4th all time assists. 2 to 3 games from being 3rd.

I hope she marries a heterosexual male.
We need how she would do in the NBA

A classic game for the Hawkeyes... A timely block by gabbie Marshall and a possession seals the win ❤
I’ve been a big Iowa men’s basketball fan forever. This kinda grew on me the last 2 years. A womens Hawkeye fan now.
Way to go Hawkeyes!!
Iowa Lady Hawkeyes. What a Great Team
Carlin Clark is great
They don’t play proper defense on her, LSU gonna shut her down
Well it doesn't really matter, this is some great basketball!
Caitlin Clark ❤
Can't stop watching her videos, damn I'm addicted to Caitlin

The first woman I thought could actually hang in the nba. She’s gonna have a hell of a career in the WNBA
Gabbie should have entered the WNBA draft
Two great teams. Competitive playing. Hard workers. Exemplary sportsmanship. There is a lesson here.
Yeah, one lesson is Caitlyn showing how to shoot a basketball and scoring from 35' out, lol. Or is that 40'?
The game that cemented the phenomenon Gabbie Marshall.
Did anyone else thought Clark was going to do a 3 in the last second

She is female Steph Curry 👈 fearless baller
So good, so good! So, so good!!!
stuelke missing those FTs.. phew

She had made 9 in a row at that point in the tournament. She's a lot better than she was last year.

Just a sophomore too. How many teams start sophomores and under? Other than Iowa State which is mostly Freshmen this year.

example of whats wrong with basketball. 11 minutes to play the last 45 seconds.
If it were football, that last 45 seconds probably need 30 minutes especially in a close game.
