- I usually apply a black vinyl to the sides of our conversions. But having done this for the past few years I thought maybe the bonnet was lacking something.
Knowing it was a test, I tried it for the first time this weekend. I think it looks a bit more aggressive and quite like it. But I also know its not for everyone. So please let me know what you think in the comments.
Whilst I have given a few tips as to how I did it, I am no expert at this, hence trying it out on our own van first. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Looks great, looking at doing our ducato bonnet. Very useful to see this. Thank you.
Great job thanks for sharing, will be doing my Relay once the weather improves a bit.
Nice to see a non professional doing the job well, this has given me the confidence to do the same.
👍
Nice work 👏 looking great 👌 I like it 👍
Thanks for sharing. Good to see a less professional wrapper at work. It often seems so easy but this is showing the real thing ;) thanks .
It's definitely a improvement looks really nice. well done good job
👍

looks fab i love it, I'm feeling inspired to do mine.
I personally love the look it’s made it look so much more premium, good job
Thanks, I think I may add a black logo same as the side one.
Celtic Motorhomes yes agree would look wicked & ties it all in, what’s the name of the wrap I’m looking to do my master bonnet myself.
@@VanlifeHQ the wrap is kpmf Matt black air release. We use mdp supplies.
Makes it a very individualistic look. Very nice. I like it a lot.
Love it mate…..awesome job 👍 tempted to have mine done
really finishes it of very nicely indeed

Looks great. I think the b&w finish looks really good.

@@voyageadventurevans no worries and thanks for the number for the auto elec he is looking at my van later 😀
Thank you
Wrap looks stunning, made a cracking looking van.
Its Looking good m8
Good stuff, try 3m design line you won’t look back, we use both, and cut the wrap more to shape first around light, make it much easier when you need to pick it back up, we’ll done mate, really nice van
Thanks for that, I will give the 3m a go.
It looks really good, I don't think I'd have the patience though
I made it more difficult than it should have been. Outside on a cold day did not help.
I wish I had your nerve lol well done, when you coming to Newcastle upon Tyne to do mine haha
The worst that can happen is you peel it off and start again😉
like it
Amazing job
I have the same van how much would it cost to do this but not myself lol a proper job
I’m actually wanting a quote to make mine look similar graphics to the swift 599 love the black decal look and can not find anyone
Best way to deal with the ATROCIOUS flaking paintwork on these vans.
I like the look definitely an improvement, I'd like to do this for my Boxer campervan but I think it's a job for a professional. Have you done a video on the rest of the painting of your van I'd like to see how you did that? thanks for the video John.
The rest of the van is wrapped in a similar manner. I thought I had a video on it, but maybe it's another one waiting for time for a mediocre edit🤣....I have certainly filmed it😃
@@voyageadventurevans Thank you I'll take a look and see if I can find it.
Looks great..is the wrap on the sides around window are also?
Hi Phil, yes it is. We apply the side wrap after we have cut all the windows out.
I was wondering if the badge was just stuck on that for the video.
The badge is just stuck on. I removed it with a little bit of heat and gentle prising. Then cleaned the glue off with glue and tar remover.
Surely water spray is easier than that method??
I am definitely not a wrap or vinyl expert, but I think water spray is ok if you don't need to stretch and stick at the same time. If this was wet, then it would not stick properly until it was dry. This wrap vinyl has air release channels on the back to allow you to get rid of air pockets when it's applied dry.
You’ve got to much time on yr hands / go and help the elderly or just do something worthwhile 👍
🤣 I wish I did have too much time on my hands.
Never enough hours in the day.
