Super cool made! "One mans trash is another mans treasure" - You have made!
Here's a trade secret:
If you've got a Goodwill Outlet store near you, you can go and dig through the bins for plastic toys, there's TONS. They sell by the pound so it will cheap AF. Greeble gold mine.
This is true! I was actually at a Goodwill like 2 weeks ago. I didn't find any good toys but I found some of those mesh filing trays.
It’s my Mecca, I hit the bins at least twice a month for kitbash and scratch build materials. My bit collection is insane right now.
Very well done! Trash to treasure.
Thanks!
Big Brain Energy, music choice is pretty hype too
Thanks! CZcams has some pretty decent music in their music library.
LOOKS GREAT! MAY YOUR MOISTURE VAPORATORS WORK AT DOUBLE CAPACITY.
The cloth addition… wow 😮 i mean that put it over the top for me
Just missing "I ASSURE YOU; WE'RE OPEN!" in Aurubesh! :)
Great job
Thank you!
That "cloth" recipe looks great! Going to definitely try and incorporate that in some builds in the future.
Thanks! It's a fun way to add a bit of extra detail
wow...commended
Thanks!
this is really cool, I love the idea of using trash and making stuff, great for the enviroment and at the same time making something beautiful! This would be great for the 6:" star wars figures. I would like to make some Naboo buidlings.
Thanks! I try to recycle as much as I can within reason :p Naboo terrain would be tricky to do that way, but it would be fun to try.
Awesome trash build! I love to see you do another series like this. Very inspiring!
Thanks! There just may be another series very soon :p
this popped up and i have to say im blown away :)
Thank you ☺️
NIce! Little touches are always the way; the moss lattice, sludge pit, and fabric all add so much. Your rust game is en pointe
Thank you! I definitely agree. Every little bit adds some character and visual interest.
Very cool
You turned trash to treasure 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽😍
Thanks for watching :)
Fantastic build, mate, glad I found your little channel here. I'm keen to have a dig through your backlog of videos now.

This video was both informative and entertaining. As a Star Wars Legion fan also doing DIY projects, seeing this really gives inspo for future builds. Keep it up!
Glad to hear it! Thanks!
These look good! Nice build, good vid. I decided to subscribe.
Thanks! I appreciate it :)
Cool stuff. Sieved it for future ideas. Keep it up.
Thank you! :)
@@hauntswargaming Really enjoying your channel. Keep it going.
Glad to hear it! I'm trying to get a new video up every 1-3 weeks. That's about as fast as I can put them out right now :p
So awesome! Would love to see more star wars terrains in the future!
Thanks! I will definitely be doing more at some point :p
Definitely enjoying your content! Keep it up and the channel will grow!
Thank you! :)
@@hauntswargaming you are welcome
Amazing results.. I would love to try something like this
Do it! The only downside is you'll want to start hording trash
@@hauntswargaming 😅👍👍
This looks awesome mate. Liked and subscribed 👍
Much appreciated! Thank you :)
@@hauntswargaming you are very welcome 😉👍.
Personally, I could have used a bit more voice-over to break up the music, but I understand that work goes up exponentially.
Thanks for making the vid and posting it! You did a great job!
Thanks for watching and for the input! I'll try doing more voiceover next time. I'm still developing my "style" I guess.
Fantástico!
Very creative ideas!!! Really awesome job!!
Thank you :)
@@hauntswargaming wish I had your creativity!! I’m having someone build some dioramas for me and it’s costing quite a bit.
@@jeditwins It takes time, but it can definitely be developed. I've been doing creative stuff my whole life pretty much :p
@@hauntswargaming well if I get some ideas maybe I can rack your brain for some ideas how to pull it off? 😁
@@jeditwins yea, I'd be down for that 👍
I can see this channel taking off in the same way Eric's hobby workshop did, although personally I'd prefer more voice over and less text
That would be amazing :p. Thanks for the input. I've been trying to find a balance between VO and Text. I'll have to try doing more in the future.
If only I had this much trash
It came out pretty nice and SW looking, but needs some more detailing and props sitting around them to look more realistic!
Yea agreed! I'm working on building up my scatter terrain collection. Thanks for watching! :)
Subscribed, show us the way!
Thanks :)
Good stuff. Really like it. Only suggestion I would make - using pigment powders might make the buildings look more weathered. That is all.
Thanks! I want to try grinding up pastels into powders but I keep forgetting to buy them 😜
@@hauntswargaming Just don’t buy the oil pastels. :) I have an old coffee-grinder I can use for that sort of thing. But usually I end up just scraping them with the edge of a craft blade.
I know it's a year ago, but have you ever tried kid's EVA self adhesive foam? You can use it to clad some of those seams.
I've used EVA before, but I didn't know there was an adhesive version of it. It definitely has it's uses. I don't like the sponginess of it so I haven't used it much.
Let this be a lesson to all dio builders, think outside of the box and create something out of nothing.
Don’t always need to stick to the same expensive materials that makes your dio looking like everybody else’s.
I made an electricity panel out of a Polaroid recharge cartridge once… tons of people asked me where and how and so on but it’s just recycling.
This is the way. Not saying I don't use a lot of foam, (cuz I do) but for buildings I try to incorporate recycled materials whenever possible.
Silly question. What did you mean by you weighed the pieces down while the spray foam dried?
Spray Foam Expands as it cures so you need to brace the shape of whatever you're trying to fill it with. Otherwise it'll cause it to bulge out.
Looks fantastic! What color paints did you use? Subscribed! 👍😊
Thanks! I used cheap hobby paint for the majority of these. Beige and Khaki for the darker tones and Antique White for the lighter tone. Then Army Painter Plate Metal, Strong Tone Wash and Dry Rust. I think I went in with watered down Lava Orange in some spots to add an orangish hue.
I'll say make sure you sand the plastic parts a bit just to give them some grit. It helps the paint stick. Also I'd suggest mixing mod podge with the first coat or 2 of paint.
@@hauntswargaming Awesome! Thanks for the reply! You have inspired me to give this a shot. I would really love to have some more Tatooine terrain for the table! 👍😊
@@GrayArmyGaming No problem!
wow, that looks so good, makes me want to try one! Is the tissue paper you used for the canvas a paper towel? or kleenex/tp?
Thank you! I believe it was tissue paper, but paper towel would probably work too.
@@hauntswargaming thanks! i will def try it. ive watched this video like 10 times now lol great pieces!!
@@ahoyplantlovers4551 I'm glad to hear it. That means a lot! Have fun with your project :p
Great stuff! What tool is that you used for cutting the plastic?
They're called aviation snips. They don't make clean cuts but they will cut through a lot of things scissors won't. Heavy shears are nice for clean cuts.
@@hauntswargaming thank you!
@@ItsTimeToPull no problem :)
Absofuckinglutely amazing bro 😎!!!
Thanks!
Great job
Thanks!
