    If I ever get accidentally shrunk to the size of an action figure I’m gonna have this guy build a diorama for me to live in

    Do you have to treat the foamular board or remove the coating? I ask if theres even adhesion problems with the jesomite. Also I cant use a water based spackle or plaster of paris if I work quick for a Planet of the apes diorama. Thanks excellent work

    • @RedflareModels
      @RedflareModels  Před rokem

      Hi. Sorry for the late reply but no, I didn't treat the foamboard with anything before adding the Jesomite. It is a special plaster-like material that adheres to any surface so does not need any primer or coating before it is added. The great thing about it is it cures in 15-20 mins whereas plaster of paris can be fragile or brittle, Jesomite is very strong once cured.

      The doors don't open. They are fixed in place to the back foamboard panel

    Hi that is very, vey good, what did you use for the sand?

    • @RedflareModels
      @RedflareModels  Před rokem +1

      Actual sand.. I applied a layer of watered down PVA glue and sprinkled just fine sand over it and let it dry.

    That foam doesn’t look like insulation. What is it & where do you get it?

    • @RedflareModels
      @RedflareModels  Před 3 lety

      It’s XPS foam that’s used in wall insulation and can be bought from eBay. Comes in different thicknesses and densities and can be cut with a saw or hot wire tool.

    The figures your using look too big for scale. I like you distressed look and details though. Also figures look way too clean.

    • @RedflareModels
      @RedflareModels  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for your comment Warren. I did size the buildings and all items using the same scale calculator and they are all correctly sized based on the figures being around 5ft 10” or so. They are all standard Bandai kits and have been weathered but appreciate, they could have been weathered more.
