The deed is done,
At this stage I played Sunbreak Demo more than base Rise.
Good work. Thanks.
how many hours? lol
Thanks for posting these!
Really? Wow that means you haven't played rise that much.

14 whole videos of rathian getting abused
She can rest easy now, hate how they programmed these monsters though.
They constantly leave the area every 2-3 minutes unless you lock them down, Wyvern Riding might've been the cause for Capcom to program them in a way they cross paths more frequently.
@@Harv-E I remember the Rise demo was the same. I stopped playing it cuz it started getting really annoying, it was way too obvious how the monsters were 'on a timer'.
@@Harv-E wyvern riding was a mistake change my mind
Rathian looks like its smoking a cigar with that stake thrust
The longsword: I’m the strongest weapon now ni-san
The bow: brother how well do you see with those eyes?
You are the shit for doing these, our hero. Also this looks pretty cool! I'm only a filthy casual with the bow though, so I might be overlooking something
Stake thrust also replaces any melee attack like plunging attack. Probably good as aerial aim finisher. It doesn't seem to replace dodgebolt's melee since it'll be OP as hell
Even without it, bow is still OP anyway
Thanks for all these vids bro they were amazing. I'm even more hyped for sunbreak after watching them 👏🏼
Thanks a lot for your efforts fellow hunter, now I have a better understanding of all the new moves and can pick what to play accordingly!
thank you for making these this gave me more hopeful for the weapons i thought were bad from the trailers
Ah yes, this is what the best DPS weapon in the game needs: more ways to do more damage.
It'll take some time to know for sure, but stake thrust not holding charge will likely make it something only used as a combo reset if you run out of stamina. Arrow up has been reportedly difficult to play around with so while it's definitely a damage increase it might not be massive unless you are pushing speedrun times and are staying in the super critical range the entire run.
Bro, bow got a 20% damage reduction, and it replaces dodgebolt. They got gunlance treatment.
All the weapons in the game are meant to do DPS man, obviously there needs to be more way to do damage.
@@marcusaaronliaogo9158 you say they nerf you dont see teamdarkside use bow ??
what kind of silkbinds and switch skills did y'all want Bow and LS to get, kunai boosters? some kind of dung bomb oil, perhaps? everything's always a problem
So for bow we got less flash than other weapons and more just straight up damage.
Dang that looks so fun, as a sorta bow main in Rise these look so good
The Bow was doing CRAZY damage!
They gave Bow the blast pod for Gunlance in Icebourne..... ima need to try bow out
Hey Harv-E, I'd like to thank you for posting these videos and giving us that sneak peek of what's to come, truly appreciate it! One quick question, are these the extra final switch skills or do you think there might be more to unlock secretly?
As far as the data mining goes this is pretty much it.
It's possible they could be hiding some in the final build.
@@Harv-E Ahh I see. Thanks again, you're the man! :D
This series of videos is just as legendary as The Crap Guide to MH World by the SnS god himself
i appreciate the support but that's just too much, those videos are a direct gift from god.
One thing I noticed about stake thrust with the bow is even thow the stake is thrusted into the monster and does damage to the monster while staked in. If the bow user is out of critical range and triggers the stake with a bow shot the stake only does minimal damage. I initially thought stake thrust was going to be some kind of use for elemental bow peircers who prefer long distances.
Bow just got a lot more op. Fckn loving it

Any chance of doing a video on the new palico skills, and if we gonna get 6 move slots to count for the additional moves
No plans for now, have to move from my place and i won't have access to my PC for couple of days. I'll continue once everything is set at the new place.
Oh yes, Bow gets SUPER CRITICAL DISTACE. As a Bow main… am I cheating? Does having THIS much power count as cheating?
No . No it doesn't not when there are monsters to be hunted
You are a w
One of the best weapon in the game gets Stake Thrust.
We have a dracula themed Elder Dragon.
Coincidence? I THINK NOT!
*The best weapon, and yeah, Capcom knew what they were doing lol
Wait, how did you get those on the demo???
Arrow Up seems to be very good for Rapid since it has the most consistent critical range of the three shot types.
Well if you apply close range coating, every type of shot can be critical at close range, and that makes pierce having the best range for critical shots.
@@Nerautsu The Narga Pierce Bow benefits from this since I don't believe it uses Power Coating so I doubt it would in Master Rank. But Pierce as a shot type itself seems pretty inconsistent across the board so I'd still say Rapid takes this one.
crazy
did he just do 350 damage with a close rang level 1 arrow?
How i do these moves?
Rathian cannot get a break fr
Every weapon is just sexy now
Still crying in a corner due to the 20% dmg nerfs across the board.🥺
It was necessary sir. Bow just had too much damage. In order to achieve the same damage, now you have super critical distance. In other words bow got the groundsplitter treatment.
It was a deserved nerf. Bow having 1.7 multiplier when you can dash dance is too ridiculous.
But still, only being able to execute the stake while in idle, not to mention having to hit the best possible hit zone with the poke, makes keeping close 100% uptime rlly unlikely, since you'd need to reset your charge every time for it while also ignoring the time you lose executing the melee itself. It is also unhealthy to assume one can keep perfect spacing to hit super criticals all the time, blowing the required skill to go dmg neutral again even higher.
@@maxmuller6791 that's the point of the nerf.
you Bow are fine
I don't play bow, what is super critical range? Is it a range closer than critical range?
That Reddit post in the description has in depth explanation to it. i can only guess it by looking for that red flash and adjusting accordingly.
@@Harv-E thanks man
you dont need get closer to get critical
damn bow users are eating good tonight
Bird up?
No, Arrow Up
Bird Up?
Stake thrust looks so boring holy ****. Why didn't they put this as a switch skill for the dragon piercer? Same animation but instead of a piercing arrow it fires this stake and deals damage just once on impact and then works like it does now. You'd want to find an opening to use the "dragon piercer stake" even in smaller monsters.
My bows broken ....😭😭😭😭......
In a good way🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Bow may actually even be more broken now this is just insane.
Seriously.
They took MH World's Wyrmstake what-the-f-ever from the Gunlance and gave it to the Bow, cause you know, Bow is so far behind in the dps department.
Meanwhile you get to deal 1/3 of Bow's damage per attack when you're on Lance, while having to deal with the melee range approach.
I loved this series since MH2 Freedom on psp, but sometimes I wonder what the f they are smoking at Capcom.
Don't worry, they haven't given bow a shield yet, so you're still special.
Haha I get what you mean, but come on we all know bow has been consistently broken throughout the series.
No, they took the groundsplitter nerf.
uhhhhh... bow? looking not as fun as the other weapons...
Both of them are DPS focused skills, not as flashy as others but they should be good in the hands of actual Bow mains.
Bow was already ridiculous. It's now got even more utility and damage options.
Stake Thrust looks badass
As a bow main, yes, I agree. But that's why I like it. It's simple but deadly
so bow gets a 20% nerf across the board (debatable), and in compensation, we get “encouraged” (forced) into.. melee range? using a range weapon? WHY???
bow is RANGED. why is capcom forcing us into closer and closer range to do optimal damage? bow already gets basically oneshot by endgame mons as it is
To give the weapon an actual modicum of skill to play. Yall really mad about the strongest weapon getting nerfed then having an emphasis on more skilled play.
join the longsword club, they nerf a move then give you a new one just to bring the damage back up lol
Its supposed to be part of the tradeoff for gunners IMO because you can be more aggressive with way more openings to attack
To me bow has usually favored closer range so when im gunner "maining" I prefer HBG/LBG but will switch to Bow for monsters that are harder to keep at good distance and just play bow as a melee weapon lol
Have you played world-Iceborne bow? You have to get closer once you ran out of power coatings
Not gonna get into damage stuff since capcom said demo changes won't all be the same as full release changes.
You're wrong in saying that we're encouraged/forced into melee range, though. Arrow Up literally forces you to play mid-range for super critical distance. If you want to play at a longer range, pick up LBG/HBG.
Stake thrust wants you to be melee, sure, but if you're unironically using melee on a monster when its not toppled then you have other issues you need to sort out. Topple a monster, put the stake in, then get back to dancing.
