Just clarifying. Invictus was NOT an original idea for Harry, based off US warrior games! He had LOTS of help and I’m tired of hearing how Harry CREATED the Invictus Games! He is currently milking the organization for all it’s worth, imo.
That is correct. From what I recall and have read several times in reliable publications, Invictus was created by then Prince of Whales ( now King Charles) and Prince William with Catherine's assistance as well as Harry. This patronage was given to Harry because of his military experience and for him to keep busy with instead of continuing to get into trouble, making embarrasing headlines. He did NOT create Invictus.

The volunteers do all the work of running the Games...not Harry. The apple doesn’t fall from the tree it seems. People forget about the documentary Charles took part in the early 90s much of which was a tell all about his miserable childhood. This was part of the duelling interviews that took place between Charles and Diana as they hurtled towards divorce. So while I have no sympathy at all for Harry, I think he’s taking a page out of Charles’ own playbook.

Some even go so far as to report that he did sweet eff-all, and they spent time they could ill spare ensuring his safety as far from the front line as possible. By all means acknowledge that the most notable job he ever managed to hold down was with the British Army, but let's not sycophantically over-egg his 'contribution'.
Imagine being the King of a Commonwealth and in order to see your grandchildren you have to meet the terms of a D-list former Cable TV actress. Harry has no backbone to say to her that he wants the children to physically meet their paternal Grandfather and the rest of his family. The security issue is a mute point. Those children would be very well protected by the King and the Home Office.
It’s my hope that when anyone thinks of Meghan that they recall the Netflix image of Meghan mocking a deeply disrespectful curtsy to the late Queen. May that forever be her legacy, it’s all anyone needs to know to get the full picture of her and what she’s about.

That is not correct either, it was the Royal Foundation, which was Prince William, his wife Catherine, then Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Harry, supported financially by the then Prince of Wales, Prince Charles ( now King Charles). The majority of the work setting it up was done by William & Catherine’s Private Secretary, Sir Edward Lane -Fox ( who often acted for Prince Harry as well as H had no staff of his own at that point), and Sir Keith Mills. Once IG had been up and running well for a couple of years, William and Catherine bowed out, gracefully, leaving it to be Harry’s pet project.

American here. Not a monarchist. I respect all people. The Royal Family is a brilliant "Keeper of the Flame"...meaning the history of Britain and also the World. I've toured Buckingham Palace, my favorite stately home is Woburn Abbey. I view this all as bringing industry into UK through tourism.
