- Luwangbi Linthoinganbi Hijam, 17-year-old had stepped out of her house at around 7 a.m. on July 6 this year for her coaching class at Keishampat Mutum Leikai, about 2 km from her home. She had met with her best friend, Phijam Hemanjit Singh, 20 years old and CCTV visuals indicated that both had gone for a bike ride towards the foothills, the area that became the point of divide between two communities in Manipur. Both Luwangbi and Hemanjit never returned home. “India will forget my daughter and us one day but we will have to deal with that picture and those eyes every day, it is now etched in our hearts and minds reminding us of our collective inability to save two young lives”, says the bereaved father of Luwangbi, visibly consumed by emotions.

I was following the coverage of Manipur from NTT for a quite a while now where i witnessed this story also and i was really hoping that they will be back home but when i saw a report vis EastMojo yesterday I couldn’t stop my tears from falling down.
When we ask questions to the government about Manipur issues Government and their IT cells divert it by saying “why only Manipur not Rajasthan or West Bengal“.

We the Meitei community as a whole strongly condemned the video of two Kuki woman paraded naked which circulated earlier despite of the community. We held rallys and sit in protest strongly condemning the act where the culprits were taken up the next day.
On the other hand, the ITLF(Indigenous Tribal Leaders Forum) Women wing held rally against initiation of CBI Inquiry against killing of two students yesterday. THEY WANTED TO COVER UP THIS COLD MURDER.
This is the difference.

They are innocent school children of young age not even 18 years old... And after that, when the internet got restored a pic went viral over the social media ( A pic of the boy and the girl) with two guys holding a gun and the other pic... After their death which laid down on the heavenly earth after being tortured, killed mercilessly by kukis. So after that incident and the video surfaced now it came to light that the boy and the girl had gone in the hands of merciless kukis... So, the reporter solemn and condemn the brutal act done by the kukis cause they're are too young to be lost which is also a future pillar of today's nation showing the nation how precious a soul is.

I was stopped by Kuki Militants once on a transport bus in Kangpokpi. They were very harsh and they demanded ₹500 from me. I gave them. This happens to people who constantly go up and down the highway

The only mistake they did was they shouldn't have ventured out especially knowing that the situation was bad and also crossing the line while by entering into the war zone. But they were just naive, young and innocent who didn't even imagine such unfortunate thing would happen to them. I don't even know whether justice will prevail or not but I'm sure the culprit/culprits will face the karma and it will be a strong karma. I hope the family of the lost ones finds peace and may they stay strong.
