You've inspired me! I'm going to use 3M hooks in place of the screws and hair ties. Possibly need painters tape to hold the hair ties over the hook but if I use the thicker hair ties it probably will wedge tight enough in the hooks so it won't flick off when I undo them.

Awesome trick! Thank you for sharing.
I tied long headbands between the knobs. Your solution is way more convenient for everyday use, I'll switch.
What do you do for toddlers climbing to tables? We have our chairs legs up :-(

You’re welcome!!! It’s been a great trick for us!
And we are stumped there too on the climbing!! Our son loves to climb and will climb anything so basically eyes on him at all times or keep him distracted! No tips for that one! Sorry!
