Susannah was honest with Tristan about her fears that she might have wanted both of their partners to die so that they could be together. It's a horrible but honest moment. Tristan is kind to her in that moment but it's clear to her that he no longer has any feelings for her. It's a tragedy that the bright woman with so many ideas that excited Samuel is brought down by misguided love for another man. Practice some empathy yourself and try to imagine what that might feel like, those feelings of deep guilt and unrequited love.

Still one of the best movies ever & still to this day holds the record the most romantic kiss in movie history. To many amazing scenes in this movie to even mention. It had a great short novella thats only about 100 pages. Why there's no actual physical 4k copy of this movie blows me away

Zeb - Before ever there was a script Harrison wrote the story brilliantly. There was so much that never made the screen, which is typical for adaptations of prose to film. What is so remarkable is depth and breadth of the story which can easily be read in one sitting.

Perhaps the best film ending ever. The story is resolved with a dramatic climax and resolution. Alfred is able to overcome his anger towards Trisian, Col Ludlow loads the gun after his stroke to save his son. Alfred and his father make amends by killing those that threatened Tristan. A masterpiece.
