- I played Avatar Frontiers of Pandora early thanks to amazing people at @Ubisoft and in this video, I will break down all the new gameplay, missions, and first impressions of this 4-hour demo.

The world of Pandora is interconnected. A true Na’vi learns to respect, understand, and adapt to the beautiful and dangerous systems of the moon. These are just some of the elements you’ll encounter while exploring Pandora.
Wildlife can be aggressive, defensive, or harmless. Creatures will interact with each other, RDA threats, and your presence.
Wildlife and plants react to the cyclic rhythm of time, with a day and night cycle as well as the impact of fire, water, electricity, and the pollution cause by the RDA.
Na’vi capitals are staging grounds for the hunt and habitation. Here you’ll find new quests, vendors, and trainers.
Field Labs are Resistance Camps where players can access a workbench, a cooking station and other utilities.
Each of the regions in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has its own secrets to discover that offer unique benefits. For example, in the Upper Plains, the player might notice that some of the Aeolian Stone Flutes need fixing. Once the player has repaired them, wildlife will approach the devices and let players get closer to them without entering combat.

Love the climbing and crafting which immersive and what a Navi and love a Easter egg dlc with actors in the movies would be dope but who knows Ubi does it like FPS view for story and Ubisoft music and changing with ares is dope and is ambient and flying will be fun and exploring from the sky’s and hyped for it and can’t wait and nice to see u liking it
looks boring and repetitive af. Only draw and what theyre probably banking on is the environment.
This will be a hard pass until its on sale or free.
I really hope when you shoot an arrow to a human the arrow stays there and doesn’t disappear. It’s a small detail I would love to see.

I hope the arrows pin them to walls and trees considering the average Na’vi arrow is a human sized spear

I hope they add underwater swimming/ reef exploration!
It would be great to have flying, jungles & tropical beaches / underwater elements

I've been looking forward to this game for a while. For someone who hasn't played a single minute of any Far Cry game this game will be fresh & new so thats an advantage for me personally. I'm glad its it own story & not completely tied to the films because 1st film way back win was awesome, 2nd film all this time later meh. I'm stoked just to explore Pandora. Another great vid my guy. Thank you for sneaking into the gameplay settings such as the exploration mode. That's the best info for me and I thank you for it.
I wish that they had implemented like a knife or something for human takedowns/melee attacks bc to me neyteri was just as iconic with her knife as she was with her bow, and you could have it as after completing your first hunt or something they give u a bow and a knife. But ig thats just a small nitpick, tho i suppose the devolpers wouldnt really want you getting too up close and personal with some of the rda enemies.

I personally like that you have to hunt for resources. It adds to immersion. Plus I love how they actually have animations for nearly everything. I find games that have a lack of animations for things takes me out of the experience a bit. It just adds a nice touch to when you have to hold a button sometimes.
For a game this detailed I absolutely can not believe it is not an MMORPG
this is something i think i would actually get a vr to play, like full full immersion seems like it’d be crazy
thank you for explaining with such detail, I've come across so many idiots shitting on the game and even saying things like "you can't even make your own character" when all the evidence is there that the female Na'vi shown in all the promotional material is just a sort of default place holder, I'm a huge fan of Avatar and I've been looking forward to this game since the first teaser and you've been my favourite person to show their experience with the demo so thank you🙏🙏

It's the Single player compliment to the Star Citizen MMO. It's got seamless travel from space to planet surfaces, no loading screens, gorgeous environments, an incredible A-list cast (Mark Hamill, Gary Oldman, Gillian Anderson, John Rhys-Davies, Henry Cavill, Andy Serkis, Mark Strong, Ben Mendelsohn, and Liam Cunningham). Looking like a game of a generation.

@@AndyReloads been great, hope your are too. Squadron 42 isn't really an RPG. It's more of a action adventure game with deep space-sim flight and fps mechanics and an incredible mo-cap cast.

Sensible move mate, nothing wrong with taking your time before making a purchase! I'm looking forward to seeing more myself, there's a lot of stuff that reminds me of Far Cry/recent Ubisoft Open world games, but I'm not sure if the Avatar skin is enough to make it stand out enough. Keen to play more to find out though

Thanks for the solid video bro! I was hyped about this game but the more I find out the less I am....the whole "tasks" situation is a big turn off.
Gotta agree with you there mate, this world is beautiful, but there seems to be a huge amount of open world admin to complete just to be functional e.g harvesting resources for ammunition, upgrades, unlocks etc

I'm a huge fan of avatar, I love the world ans stories and navi... and it makes me a little upset that ubisoft is the company behind this game, I think they're gonna do a good job but avatar and pandora deserve the quality of like a Rockstar game like red dead 2 or a star citizen type quality lol, its just a shame to see such a cool place like pandora fall victim to the small scale thoughtfulness of quality even though the world looks gorgeous it's more about the gameplay loop and mechanics and it all looks like far cry and very half baked :/ I'm still gonna play it tho and give it a try!
I dont understand when games make us create characters but the rest of the game is in 1st person. It would be better if all cutscenes would be in first person and when playing like exploring and combat, there should be an option to go first or third.

Is there any way to play in 3rd person? (Not just on mounts) If im playing an rpg I like to see a custom character and how it fits into the world not a pair of arms. I just cant feel immerse any other way.

Didn't follow this game whatsoever, enjoyed the first movie for what it was and all that but I didn't know anything about the game that was coming. Sounds like it's pretty solid, and I did enjoy FarCry Primal a lot.

Is it a proper RPG or is it just a open world with your character being established?
most likely an open world action adventure with some very light rpg mechanics.
Its not an RPG, its a first person shooter like Far Cry
What I don't understand.. in the first movie we've been told that navi move above the ground, using trees because it's dangerous on the ground. Yes? And here I don't see a tree movement. All vids are about roaming the ground or flying.
I cannot recall this being said in the first movie. Moving along the roots of trees has its benefits, but since prey like Yerik (the deer looking thingies) live on the ground of the forest and the Direhorse cannot clim as well, I‘d say the Na‘vi spent a fair share of time on the ground. I believe the Na‘vi use the trees to avoid ground-level predators, since they avoid confrontation (and therefore having to kill them) as much as they can. Like Neytiri scolded Jake about making noises and don’t knowing what to do, that it was his fault the Viperwolfs had to die.
I have noticed the lack of climbing trees as well and am as confused as you. I do hope they have included it, since it was even possible in James Cameron‘s Avatar: The Game and is a big part of moving through the forest for the Na‘vi. About the flying, I won‘t complain. When playing the before mentioned game, I spent hours flying into caves and under bridges - for those who know - I used fly through the gateway to the space where Beydamo stood and land right in front of him, instead of walking there, because I had figured out the ikran did indeed fit through there. So I‘m beyond excited to figure out the new flying mechanics, especially the aerial combat, since I have never played another game that featured aerial combat like that.
I have to admit this looks really good. I am getting farcry and horizon zero dawn vibes but in the avatar world.

Sorta sounds like it has the typical open-world issues with Ubisoft games but still an incredibly fun experience for a first playthrough! I can't wait to play with my best friend. My only concern is there being no stealth takedown, so I'm hoping they come up with something there and that it isn't a bad sign like Redfall.

Your review alone is what will make or break with me buying it or not. If you don't mind, may I ask a couple of questions?
1. When you create your character at the beginning can you choose a male or is female the only gender you can choose?
2. (Not to sound like that person ..) but it needs to be asked from the gameplay you've shown. It looks very female dominant, is there a healthy balance with male and female important npc's? (sounds like a silly question but it makes sense with an ubisoft game. No offence intended to ubisoft.)
3. Do you have an idea how long the game is?
I assume I'm right lol .. disappointing and a shame the questions I asked weren't answered :(

How big is the open world in this game ? I mean the bigger is will be the better for me
Apparently each biome is bigger than the entire map in Division 2. There are 3 biomes in total, excluding the new areas that will be added with the dlc/season pass later next year. The game is huge.
Not to mention the first biome will be like having two or three biomes/maps, as we get to explore the floating mountains.
Is protagonist na'vi-born or developers forgot the fifth finger of avatars?
Na'vi born mate! They were abducted by the humans (ambassador program) when they were born

AC Mirage, director prouds they did not forget to remove the fingers of Hidden Ones...
⚠️ But they removed finger even for initiate, who should lose the finger later, even later than Basim.
(I mean guy who Basim talked to before initiation, and gave the guy some sword fight advices)

i dont think a game needs to be "innovative" to be fun, look at Spiderman 2, there is nothing at all that is innovative or groundbreaking in that game but its easily one of the most fun and enjoyable games i've played this year

Unfortunately not at present mate, the only stealth takedown that I was made aware of was the pulling a human out of the AMP mech seat
