The Unknown Reason Why Tanks Got Their Name

Having dominated battlefields for over 100 years everyone has come to know these vehicles as tanks. But how and why did they get this name? From their first use during world war one all the way to today the word tank has become one of the most common words in wartime dictionaries. Today I'm going to look into why tanks are called tanks and if the name may ever change.
