I can definitely attest to not removing any safety or crash equipment from your car. Last year while I was in Cornwall, I was unfortunately crashed into while driving from Newquay to Perranporth, by a lady travelling in the opposite direction. Despite my Focus being written off, the front crash structure along with the other safety equipment fitted to the car saved myself and my family and we all walked away. I’ll point out the lady driving the other car, as well as the occupants of the van she collided with before me, thanks to the safety equipment fitted to their vehicles.
Just to point out, liability for this accident has already been accepted and I’m not here to have a go at anyone for causing the accident, sadly it was just one of those things that could have happened at any time, any place and to anyone. But I’d like to thank the officers from Devon & Cornwall Police who came out and dealt with the incident, as well as everyone else who stopped to help out and to Four Winds Garage who came out to recover the cars and tidy the road up. Not to mention my insurance company and Enterprise who got me back on the road with a courtesy car the following day.
Thanks treat yourself to a nice cool cola 👍💯🖖
John your too kind. Thank you. Any money donated to the channel will only be invested right back into it. So thank you. Your actually the first person to ever donate to the page! ❤
Hi George. I just want to say, this series working with the police is very good. You have not only found a cool niche in the CZcams market but it’s not only informative but also a great way to build bridges between the car community and the police. I personally highly rate what you have done and would love to come to a meet where you and Owen are with the RS. So often people fall foul of construction and use regulations and grey areas due to how laws are written so this series really helps people see and understand what you can and can’t do without making it seem like the police are just against modified cars, because as we know that’s not the case.
This comment takes the win! You sir are too kind
@@GCMYT all a testament to your and owens hard work and dedication to this.
So often CZcamsrs just follow trends.
On owens side, his approach is great. Engagement is such a huge positive for policing. As with anything positive interactions are never really mentioned. Negative interactions are spread like wild fire and perpetuate the issue, no matter what situation you apply it to.
To reach the car community in this way, by building a car they can relate to is a brilliant way to connect with the masses.
There will always be the negative people who want to talk down anything the police do. This is positive, along with the majority of their work that is never told or known about.
Keep it up, both of you. It’s great. Also with the amount of mods that continue to come out year on year it’s something that could continue to grow and discuss the trends the car community follow.
I’m off to go look for another ST, had a revo stg2 mk2 many years ago but am a Honda head at heart. However one of them has now sold to hopefully make way for a mk3 ST. So maybe I’ll get to catch up with you both in the future.
Hi Owen, nice to meet you and see the car at the Devon County Show!
Just subbed after your request on TT
Thank you bro. That’s so kind of you. Have the best day!
Would love to see this taken round Nürburgring
Honestly I love the look of the car, can't wait to see it in-person someday
There isnt a sports cat out there that will go through an MOT 😂
Oooohhh fancy
Great work guys!❤
Amazing stuff lads
Thanks buddy
The car looks very cool, Nice job 👍
5:08 card saying about being close to 100k has a spelling mistake. The person who created it used the word 'your' instead of 'you're or you are'.
I had to say something as I used to be a Proofreader and such errors 'jump out' at me from the screen.
Bill 'Steve' Burr 😊
Will this car be available to purchase at the end of this project?
Yes it will :)
Who's footing the bill?
That'll probably be us mate 👍

Vision zero...the taxpayer then.
Indeed. Pretty shocking.
"The road safety work undertaken by the Vision Zero South West road safety partnership is funded by the surplus costs recovered by Devon & Cornwall Police from offending motorists through driver training schemes and costs awarded by Magistrates Courts, once the police operating costs are met."
