I know true fans don't like Rex or Esther but to me they were such good characters for Miracle Day.
I'm a true fan, and I can confidently saw I loved Esther and Rex. Sure, Rex got so annoying sometimes 'cause he kept trying to take charge and belittle Jack and the Torchwood Organisation (when no-one does that to my boy Jack. What he says, goes). However I still loved them both, I thought they were great. Not as much as Ianto, Tosh, and Owen. Although as individual characters, they were a lot of fun to watch. It was so sad to see Esther go!
I'm actually warming up to Miracle Day. The Finale is still dogshit awful, but the rest of it isn't actually that bad as long as you aren't expecting it to be Children of Earth
Only first watched it about a month ago. Didn’t get what all the hate was about. Then I watched the finale.....
Still, it’s a thoroughly enjoyable series. Just as long as you don’t expect a fantastic conclusion.

Is Jack Immortal again in the Null Field or whatever it’s called?
The null field might’ve temporarily restored his immortality since he brought part of it with him when he escaped. It would explain how he survived that gunshot wound.
A question that always occured to me when watching this scene: if without the alpha plate, the whole thing is just a piece of useless metal, how comes when Jack takes it out the null field still works and his "Please" at the end is nullified?
Either it took a bit of time to turn off without the alpha plate or Jack just mouthed "please" instead of saying it.
Useless metal in the grand scheme of things. That one panel is doing very VERY light work compared to having the entire thing. It's muting the outside world really nothing more.
