- Welcome back in today's episode I exppain how Most Haunted crested their most famous ghost apparition. Then I re create it, and finally I show you how I created the re creation including mistakes and how to avoid them in my editing suite davinci resolve

People would love nothing more than hardcore proof, especially since most of us have amazing cameras on our person all the time. Wild things get caught on camera.
I’m a massive skeptic but open to being proven wrong. The one time I saw something unexplained, and it was a couple sitting at a dinner table in an empty residence. They weren’t moving and I was just watching for 30 mins as I had a smoke on my porch. I called for a friend who doesn’t believe at all come look and confirmed they didn’t believe in ghosts/spirits, had them look and explain it to me. They didn’t know but thought it was weird. After I finished smoking I went peeking around the residence and it was still empty. Still not sure what went on. Guess the ghosts were hungry 😹

It's a shame Most Haunted are fake. Because of the places they go they may very well catch something genuine only people will think it's fake. Derek Acorah was always obviously fake and when he would pretend to get possessed his acting was hilariously bad.
I went on an evening tour of Peterborough Museum. When MH was there Derek took himself off to his hotel with his laptop....ironically that tour is one of the very few times I've actually experienced something.
Of course it's fake. Soon as the ghosts saw Derek Acorah they ran a mile... dude looked a fright with his tons of make up.
I'm not here to discuss Acorah's credentials as a medium as I've never seen him perform outside Most Haunted to evaluate his alleged abilities. However, I'm pretty sure Acorah was brought on in good faith, but was progressively pushed by the production company to "embellish things" in order to keep the programme exciting. The more the production company encouraged him to ham it up, the more he obliged with pushing those boundaries. (When you're on TV, making a name, getting paid, and think you're amongst showbiz friends - who wouldn't?) When Kieran O'Keefe (for whatever reason) decided to call Acorah out (and charging just one person with fakery on this show even by this stage was ridiculous!) They realised that they'd pushed the show beyond credibility - and he'd now become a liability and an embarrassment to viewing figures. They then threw him under the bus... of their making for doing what was asked of him, and for which he was guilty....... of faking.

Over 10 years ago, a friend told me a tale of the Most Haunted lot coming to where they worked. They worked at the old nuclear bunker in Nantwich. One member of staff made up a tale of a person who'd made off with themselves on the stairs. Guess what? Dodgy Acorah said he could sense someone who'd done away with themselves on the stairs. It was all bollocks.
The whole thing is bollox mate
This was my favorite show to fall asleep to back in the day.. I would always pass out and then get woken up by random Yvette screams! 😅

It's not gullibility so much as not wanting everything to just end when they die. The idea of not existing is scary to most people. Many also have family and friends who have passed, and the idea that they'll be together again is, well it's a really nice idea, and enticing. There are many people I'd love to be with again. It's understandable to me why so many people fall for fakers. Don't blame the people, blame the people using that psychology against people to make money off of them.

@@Kawamura2 I understand the fear people have about dying, I really do, but believing in delusions, indoctrinating their children, and killing others who believe a different version of their delusion is madness! I want there to be a million dollars in my bank account and I fear the fact that there isn't. But I won't let the fear of poverty delude me into thinking that money is really there.

Loved it! I wish I could do that editing stuff. Most Haunted done one at Michelham Priory. The site is one of many places run by The Sussex Archaeological Society (SAS) and for a while I was the photographer there. My darkroom was in Lewes Castle. I used to go to places, get some artefact, set up the item then photograph it. I'd then develop the shots and send them to museums and places all over the world. ( sorry for being long winded). The thing is, I worked at the priory many times and never saw or heard anything. I felt nothing. But Lewes Castle itself always made me feel uneasy. I always felt someone was behind me and kept looking over my shoulder. Anne of Cleaves House, which is in Lewes too, was the same. I got in, did the shots and was out as fast as possible.

I remember when the episode with the "apparition" was due to air.
I was at work and radio 2 was mandatory.
Yvette was actually on the Steve Wright show (although I believe Jonathan Ross was standing in) and she was talking about how they've finally caught a ghost on camera and that everyone needs to tune in to watch it.
I remember listening to that as well! It was a really short segment and I got the impression no one believed it on radio 2 either!

I couldn't agree more about taking months and months to capture something? I witnessed 1 ghost 👻 in almost 1 year and that was whilst living at the property, i'll admit i did actually walk around with my eyes closed after witnessing such a thing!😂

It was funny. He apparently communicated with a man who was concerned about a woman whose legs were hurting +(DA did not give the name of the man or describe the woman)....now comes the fun; he asked the ladies in the audience of antigenic them had problems with their legs 😂 Hands went up ! He homed in on a woman in her sixties and started asking her questions then kept nodding his head saying " That's what my contact saud" !😂😂😂
I went to see him because I just felt he was a fake and wanted to see what his show was like. Needless to say, pathetic rubbish and harmoniously got paid for his appearance.

So MH are the OG’s who got me into the paranormal when I was a kid, I fully know now most of it is bollox but I can’t help it, it’s a guilty pleasure purely because I love how funny the team are. I always take it all with a pinch of salt now but I do still enjoy watching them 😂😂 I do feel like an absolute bellend for all the years I fell hook line and sinker for it all mind 😂😂😂

I think one of the things those shows had on advantage on their time is that not everyone were able to get a decent pc to review their content, or just not so many people were into debunk them.

My husband and I used to watch them all the time but we called it Frucken Bloody Hell (you can fill in the correct F word there) cause Yvette constantly yelled that when she got "scared". Never believed anything was real but watched for the pure entertainment of them all reacting to absolutely nothing, it was hilarious to us.
How incredibly cool, Beardo. I have zero experience with regard to video editing so found this utterly fascinating actually seeing it done. And the way you explained the process, walking us through it... Just brilliant. The fact that it was a Most Haunted video was a bonus as I've always enjoyed them (believed them to be legit.. nah... We nearly never had our charity investigation at Mitchelham Priory because of MH. The owner was annoyed with them because of the fakery they did there. Thankfully the owner did the investigation with all of us and was okay with all of us, just not MH

Have to say, I loved Most Haunted, especially the Derek Acorah years. I knew it was a show & that it probably wasn't legitimate. I liked it anyway. The same way I'd watch a good horror movie. And I found the folks who hated it for being fake as equally baffling as those who thought it was all real. You wouldn't stick on Night of the Living Dead, cross your arms & halfway through go "Oh aye, those zombies are fake as f**k like". And if Karl & Yvette wanted to say it was all real, well... I'd just stick them with all those god-botherers who say all their stuff is real too. The difference being, of course, the makers of Most Haunted haven't strapped bombs to themselves or fiddled with kids.

As a Most Haunted 'fan' I just wanted to say that this was a cool video. I've always been an open sceptic and just enjoyed the entertainment factor itself enjoyable. Beardo, you don't deserve the hate you get.
The one person I wanted to hear from this whole time was Dr. Ciaran O'Keeffe... He seemed genuine, but I did wonder if he'd ever spill the beans regarding any tomfoolery.

I caught the one where Derek was at some RAF base and realised he had said his spirit guide was talking to German airmen from WW2 and had to suggest that his "spirit guide" was bilingual and then changed his mind to say they all talk the same in the spirit world. Because the idea a German airman might actually speak English never occurred to him in his panic 😀😀
It was the same one where Yvette sat down in a chair and the change fell out of her pockets and they tried to imply a ghost threw it 😀😀You could even see it fall out. Absolutely hilarious.
I remember watching this episode and laughed out loud because you could see quite clearly that it was someone wearing modern clothing. Also Karl and torvill are so over the top when stuff allegedly happens it's stupid. Thanks for this.

Another brilliant video mate. Aww, I'm kinda disappointed as I really want existence after death to be real. I've seen what I belive was a ghost and we had to pull over as I was that freaked out! I'm still holding out hope- I'll be sure to let you how I'm getting on after I die- I mean, if I can I'm gonna do something paranormal that CANNOT be disbunked 😂 Maybe even a full apparition lol.

I was never a fan of most haunted, didn’t think it was fake back then but bricks would always be thrown off screen which was always a bit sus to me. One good thing did come from them though when they visited the Leopard pub in our town, it did seem to get more popular after it appeared on tv. Sadly it’s burned down now so the reinvigorated popularity was short lived. Another great vid 👍

Fantastic video - I'm very new to editing and the program I use doesn't have all of that stuff to do that sort of thing with so this is very informative to me on how people can fake things on their videos. Thank you for a great educational session!👍
MH have been faking stuff right from the start. Myself and some friends went to s filming they did in Liverpool (in the mid-00s, I think it was) and everything was so faked it was unreal. Even if you went for a toilet break you had to be back and in your seat by a fixed time because the camera panning shots were meant to make the venue look as full as possible and anything else would bugger up their editing and continuity. Screaming Yvette totally does my box in though - you could waft a sock at her and she'd scream blue murder!

Such a shame. I used to love this show, they went to the coolest places and their Halloween specials were so fun, i used to stay up like 3 or 4 in the morning watching those live shows. It just makes me sad. smh

Can't believe Most Haunted is still running. I mean, it was fun for the first few seasons. I loved it, not just because of the paranormal bits, but they used to do great stories and delve into the history of locations which I enjoyed more. You could laugh at the paranormal bits, because they were so easily debunked/faked. Then after about 3 or 4 seasons it just became lame as they only had a few tricks and used them over and over. Yvette's screaming...so annoying. When the scandal broke about Derek, well it just became sad after that and they should of just bowed out. But nope, guess too much BS yet to peddle to make a buck.
