Your right. I hope there will still be episodes and seasons for cuphead. There was cliffhangers for season 1 and 2 but season 3 doesn’t have one.

@Call of the Sea Well considering that her design change from when she was younger isn't that much different and acts like Cuphead and Mugman (by that, I mean they like to goof around cause mischief), it's pretty clear that she's a child. Most likely around the same age.

I like how they didn’t give Chalice a dramatic death, it was just done and over with, which was probably the most realistic death scene without being bloody in a cartoon. Her origin story was surprising to me, I expected it to be that she is an adult that died a long time ago because that’s what it’s like in the dlc, but that is a whole different universe.

I'm really surprised they were allowed give chalice such a realistic death. She just got straight up hit by a streetcar and they made sure to show the collision, and later have her witness her own corpse rot away and reduce her to bone. This is why I think the show walks the fine line of a kid show and a show for young adults.

I feel like the strongest positive of Season 3 of the Cuphead Show is how it seems to be getting closer and closer to the game while also holding it's other strong trait of comedy and characters. The *theme of making a deal with the devil* to succeed in life or to have a second chance at it is really prominent in the game while also being introduced in the show. Ms. Chalice's backstory does this job perfectly.
Her origins show that she had a passion to dance but unfortunately was killed when things were finally looking up. She felt like she wasn't done with life, as her life was finally peaking to it's highest. So, she made a deal with the Devil to have a second chance to continue following her passion to tap dance while also having people who actually care about her in her life (Cuphead and Mugman).
But the theme doesn't just stop at dying like Chalice. Another character, King Dice, was finally at the top of his game until his peak of success and fame started to *die.* Not the character himself but his success ended too fast for him. So, he ended up going to the Devil's side to be prominent in his career once again. He might not have did what Chalice did but in the end, he belongs to him.
The season just goes to show what the game is really known for. *Don't make a deal with the Devil.* You might get what you want like power or a second chance but in the end, it's gonna cost you something important.

It was incredibly shocking!
I'll give them credit on her interesting backstory, I mean a cute little girl in a crappy sad or somewhat mean orphanage is already a predictable sign but the way they presented the episode is still pretty impressive, Also impressive that how Chalice became half motal and half ghost in the first place, She 'no pun intended' made a deal with the Devil become exactly just that in exchange for a favour she owns him.
When I saw mrs. Chalice getting hit by a trolley, wow! The creators had no shame to show that to the whole audience, including the kids!

Honestly Season 1-C is probably my favorite so far. They managed to keep the darker tone without being too mean spirited
i thought her origin would have been different
i thought she would have been a hero from ancient times
but she sadly passed away and became 1 of the Devil's collected souls
hundreds of years later, due to Cuphead's actions in ep. 1
Ms. Chalice's soul was set free, but due to the lack of her physical body, she gave herself one with new powers
and used tapdancing to get what she wants, because the new age doesn't need an ancient hero

I'd wondered why Chalice's ghost form (or legendary chalice from was slightly different then her playable form in the game) Perhaps when swapping with someone via the astral cookie she takes on a more closely resembling the one she's swapping such as Cuphead or Mugman in this Case
Now the ghost ability makes sense.

I’m deeply sorry that you have to hear this, but there’s no fourth season coming. The show is already set up the plot for the game and this is the final episode that was ever planned for the show. Granted, if we ever did get a fourth season I’d be a happy boy. Also that scene with Ms. Chalice dying was terrifying.

They are just waiting for Netflix to greenlight a forth season production

It's just a nothing episode. I actually think it could have worked better if they merged it with this episode, which I believe was the intent given how it defines the relationship between the Cup Trio in association to how this episode ends.
But it didn't work that way…
I still don't really know what Joyride's conflict was.

I actually predicted that Ms. Chalice knew the Devil before season 2.
I found this interesting little detail with the devil - The symbol on his desk is- well how I interpret it- a common symbol of a morningstar encasing a city-At the time 7:49- 👀🔆
Anyways that interesting detail aside- I genuinely think Netflix was cruel to this show in several ways- I’m impressed how they pulled off such a good show despite the restrictions/budget What not. There’s so many talented people working on this and I think it’s goods do outweigh the negatives in many regards.
I’d love to say more but I already typed a lot lol- great video as always! Anyways back to hoping this show gets renewed 😅

It makes me wonder what game ms. Challice's actual origin story is because to me she always seemed much older , then again spirits and age can hard to tell , she looked an undead ancestor of cuphead and mugman to me , after all there is statue of her in a run 'n gun level
The following is my genuine reaction to Chalice dying:
"And then she gets hit by a car" *she gets hit by a trolley* *immediate laughter*
I got spoiled of the scene where The Devil shows Chalice what would happen to her if she didn’t keep her end of the deal, and came into the episode thinking that it was gonna end with that happening to her. Fortunately it didn’t. I was still terrified during that scene tho.
My favorite part of season 3 was definitely Chalice and her friendship with the Cup bros. Seeing the three of them all getting into shenanigans and having fun together was just really nice to see. And NGL I was in genuine fear during Cuphead and Devil’s Rock Paper Scissors game and the dance fight. Not because the events themselves were scary, but because of what would happen if the cuptrio didn’t beat the Devil
Also her backstory reminded of how much I despise orphanages IRL and the abusive people who’ve ran most of them

Season one I thought was cute but I actually got into it when they introduced Chalice. She's by far the best character.

When she got hit by the trolley my face went from ☺️ to 😨 real fast. I had not the slightest idea that was even going to happen.

And therein lies the problem with the Cuphead Show: so much potential, all of it wasted on the wrong things. Quite literally the only episodes worth watching in my opinion are "Carn-Evil", "Roll the Dice", "Down and Out" (as a possible in-betweener for "Roll the Dice" and "Release the Demons!"), the Sweater two-parter, "In Charm's Way" to "Charmed and Dangerous", "A High Seas Adventure!", "Release the Demons!", "Dead Broke", the season 2 finale and season 3 premiere, and the season 3 four-parter (yes, four-parter, I checked)...out of 36 episodes (you do the math).

Backstory explained : Chalice was abandoned by her parenta for unknown Reason and was raised in an orphange to break her fun and her spirit, one day she had a great idea and escape the orphange successfully and thats when she gets to do he passion and unfortunately she has to survive then she found her talent as her survival then one day she was dancing in the road and then gets crashed by a vehicle then she meets the devil and gets a second chance to live and dance after that she meet cuphead and mugman aka the duo then one day they went to the circus and found a fortune machine unlucky her fortune has to be meeting with the devil and they have to make a deal then here’s the spoiler
After for a few months she tried to trick the duo but reveals that she has to trick the duo to be alive and about the deal she made, but then they make a tap dancing battle with the devil sadly she lost but cup head wanted
to play Rock Paper Scissors and then if he loses chalice will become a spirit but if he wins chalice will live then cuphead won
Moral lesson: don’t dance on the road
I often forget to listen to you talking because I'm watching the animation in this show
If you've seen how many other characters were sometimes blown to literal pieces and survived regardless, I have to wonder how a trolley accident was enough to kill Chalice. Maybe she was born with 1HP syndrome or something.

I remember how schocked i was watching these episods cuz i have never excpected to get an origin story for ms. Chalice and to find out that she actualy died and made a deal with the devil like whoooo i didn't excpect that but hey i like it and it is kinda disapointing that cuphead and mugman weren't really important in the finale episods like yeah he did deafet the devil in rock, paper, siccors but mugman did not do like anything but hey he wil probably be important in season 4 if that happens but i don't think they will make a season 4 since we alredy know what is goona happen in the game cuz of the ending hinting about how this is all a prequel but who know's i don't
