Yeah my husband had this big plan for my engagement, my best friends were already at the location. I was being me, and crying over an outfit (I didn’t know what to wear) two hours went by and I still had no outfit, and it started raining so he told me to come outside and said this is all I wanted to do today. And purposed right outside my grandmas house in the rain, my friends met us for dinner after. It was so nice, I will never forget it. We also got married during hurricane maria :) clearly water is a huge part of our relationship:)

I think it’s normal and healthy to have marriage conversations. You need to know your on the same page on your relationship. My husband and I talked about our timeline and went ring shopping and the engagement was a complete surprise! He would joke sometimes and be like what if I proposed right here,lol.

I love how Remi said every option is perfect when it comes to ring shopping depending on the individual couple. My husband and I got engaged back in 2018 and I really wanted to be surprised when it came to the ring. I told him I wanted yellow gold and my ring size and I LOVED what he went with! But for other couples it may make more sense to go shopping and pick it out together. There's no one size fits all!

I always liked the idea that both people in the relationship should propose, the first one proposes the idea of marriage and if the other person says yes they are officially engaged, but when the second person proposes is when you start planning for the actual wedding.
