READ THIS! Even though a lot of people warned against it Jessica is absolutely thrilled with her KX100. We originally wanted to get her a KTM 4 stroke 250... but it was way too tall of a motorcycle for her to comfortably handle in the woods. Mods on the way include an FMF fatty pipe, v-force reeds and a 10 oz flywheel weight.... all to smooth it out even more to make this the perfect woods bike for short people. I think motorcycling in general is about finding that sweet spot between not enough confidence and having too much confidence. A lot of that is just finding the right bike.

A little tip for kick starters, don't kick down from the very top. Move it down gently until it stops, then kick down. About 1/3 of the way is usually when they catch. The way Jess did it won't hurt it short term, but long term you'll have to replace it sooner since the parts wear faster that way.

It's not a fucking gay 4 stroke. Every other rotation is a compression stroke. Your stupid theory does not work on 2 strokes.

I just picked up a 2008 KX100 for my 11 year old son. But after riding it I may just have to keep him on his 2006 CRF100 and "show" him how it's done. :) BTW SS, you ride like me; butt in the saddle which leads to many falls :) (need to learn to ride on the pegs)

Idgaf what people say 2 strokes are fun due to ama bullshit I got to race a four stroke but best believe I got my rm 125 still but she should love the bike it's really fun to ride one of my friends has the same exact bike the mods your planing are perfect for it another thing I'd do is get some bark busters if your doing woods riding but that's more of a personal preference glad she has a bike she is comfortable on makes the whole ride a lot better from all prospective

good call on the 2 stroke 100. if you weigh less than 150 there is really no reason to ride an expensive 4 stroke. new rings once a year and mixing gas and you are set
