Ant begins by saying that he can no longer defend the Duke and Duchess of Sussex because of their attention-seeking behaviour. Piers agrees and suggests it's the rank hypocrisy that has led to the demise of their popularity. However Imarn claims that the media's critiques of the pair are mired in covert racism towards Meghan, which leads to an on-screen heated debate between the three.

what is astonishing is this woman is ignoring the letter patent signed by King George V in 1917 long before Archie or even Markle's grandparents were born which proves Archie was never going to get the title of prince no matter what color he was. The angry lady was only listening to respond, not to discuss. She obviously left her ability to have a conversation behind, and only took her own unhealed trauma to the table. It's no use trying to coverse with people this hurt, they're only there to confirm their own biased perception.

So she basically defined covert racism as being any action that may or may not have been racist, but that she is going to just assume was driven by racist motivations, even if there is no proof either way.
As a black South African individual, I think she's quite a good debater, actually. I think that she may just be used to being able to make a point in a longer structure of thought and speech which Piers doesn't really care for.
I don't particularly think that "everything is about racism", but I can imagine that for a person who feels so passionately about race relations as she, it can be frustrating when people like Piers seemingly don't want to concede to covert racism existing and that, quite frankly, the royal family is not impervious to it, which he seems to believe.

Maybe this is just me but, I feel that Imarn, being a black woman in our woke society, will be heard over a white British man. Having Candace on would even that playing field.

If this woman was Janet Street porter. Who is loud and animated, no one would have a problem. Or Vanessa felts. Because it's a black woman, people have a problem, because she's "out of her lane", because of stereotypes, because of bias. She has no place talking like this, and that's why people have a problem with her over say a Vanessa felts, and that's covert racism and cognitive racial bias at it's finest. And is exactly the point Iman is making about attitudes towards Megan. We see it time and time again how newspapers convey stories of black footballers versus white footballers, buying their moms houses for example. Biases run through our cores and fabrics of society. We can ignore them because theyre hard to challenge and accept or we can listen to others and try to break them down and do better. Being told you have biases, especially to race is never nice, but we all do, and we should work to overcome them through dialogue, through advice and through challenging our own thoughts
