If S&W made this in .22 WMR that would be awesome.
22 Hornet too
Nothing better than the smell of FREEDOM!!! I've got one too and it's a blast to shoot! The kids love spending the day shooting targets with it. So much fun for the entire family.
This video is outstanding! I have watched numerous reviews of this rifle and yours is the one that finally put me over the top. This was also the only video that I saw mention the rounds nose diving in the mag. Great work!
Buffalo, the only thing I would recommend all 15-22 owners do is order the Volquartsen extractor. It has a much sharper edge then the Smith factory extractor. It will throw all brass without fail. I don’t care what ammo you use. Other than a single point sling, red dot to co-witness with the Magpul sights, forward grips and BAD Lever...those are the only upgrades/adds I’ve done.
It’s an awesome rifle! I’d much rather own a Smith and Wesson 15-22 vs a Ruger 10-22. I bought a 10-22 a few years back (second one I’ve owned) from Impact Guns. Then went to their indoor range to break it in. I was so disappointed! Every 2 to 3 shots it would jam or stove pipe. I was shooting CCI ammo, using the 10 round mag. I switched to the 25 round mad and had the same problem. Someone said I had to break it in...what a bunch of crap that is! I’ve never owned a good handgun or rifle that was worth anything that needed a break in period. That’s just an excuse. The S&W M&P 15-22 doesn’t need a break in period, as it’s ready to shoot flawlessly out of the box. There’s nothing better to kill the excitement of new gun ownership than a gun that jams almost every other shot!
I also have a S&W MP-15-22 and it is a fine shooter. I outfitted mine with the cheap ACOG Ecos chinese kock-off from Amazon and knock-off TLR-2G Streamlight. I have only cleaned it once, at about 500 rounds, and I have not had any weapons failures (FTF FTC)with it after over 2000 rounds. Still very accurate and dependable with bulk ammo.
Bought mine some years ago. Threw some Magpul furniture and a decent red dot on it, and the thing's a freakin' tack hammer. Loads of fun, no failures, and is accurate as hell. Doesn't really like cheap ammo... even says so in the manual. Absolutely one of my favorites.
Super Great video.. Thank you Sir. One of the best M&P15-22 video's on youtube. Thank's for your time and info.
Ordered one today, like you, I've been thinking about an M&P 15-22 for about 6 years now. The Kryptek camo was the clincher; that and the possibility of the AR-15 being outlawed in my state soon. Already ordered additional magazines too, since they. might ban those over 10 rounds here too! :( Glad to see it is such an excellent shooter. We all need to Stand as One, against the Infringements of our 2A Right.
Great video =) your personality put me in a great mood! Excited to receive my 15-22 in 3 days!
So how did you like it? I bought one and 5k rounds of the Aguila he uses in the video and it's been fantastic.
Buffalo’s a sniper with that 15-22! What a grouping!
Smith and wesson should make a 22 magnum variant
Bought one of these about 2 years ago nice shooter would not trade it in for nothing
Have you had any jamming issues ? I am thinking to get one.
@@markboulanger1113 none at all so far
@@jeffcolwell8459 thanks, Jeff. I will be getting one. I appreciate your reply.
Have one of these just love it great trainer just like you said I personally have no use for an AR-15 but this 15/22 fits the bill
Buffalo, although I am from Los Angeles I have some relatives in KY. I have visited them in KY a few times. I love KY. It is a beautiful state with nice people.
Great shooting with the red dot. That is really accurate for a .22!
Your camera work and post production is excellent. Good stuff.
Thanks!
Great video..and shooting. I’ve been wanting a good 22LR for a while, went into my local shop and this exact rifle was there. It’s now mine for me and my Grandson to teach his boys to shoot/hunt! Thanks again!
That's one positive sounding trigger reset :-p
Sounds like any other ar with a mil-spec trigger.
This dude is a legend. He can shoot anything accurately & this gun is awesome in my opinion. What I’m saying is this dude shoots everything accurately 😂
Wish I was half as good as this guy. Awesome stuff.
I'm a fan of S&W M&P hand guns...I've been really thinking about this rifle for awhile now, for the economy of it and I think you just sold me! LOL
I still have it and still like it!
That was a tight little group there Buffalo. Glad to see the sunshine around for a day or two. As always, and I will say it every time, great video. We appreciate your hard work to keep us informed and entertained. Thanks buddy.
Awesome color on that rifle, nice video, and thank you so much for the shout out!
Hope it helps!
The Magnum Channel just subscribed to your channel man! Hope everything goes well 👍🏼
Thank you!! 🙂
I love the color. I have a basic black one
I ain't had I problem with my m&p 15-22. Sweet gun! Thanks buffalo for the great video!
Thanks! These things are awesome.
I've shot a few of these before, they're great little rifles! The factory triggers (at least on the ones I shot) aren't all that great in my opinion, but they're well built, reliable and very accurate. I shot one that was the same thing except it was an SBR with a 10in barrel and a red-dot sight on it, and that lil' thing is just a blast to shoot! Great video and great shooting as always! Keep up the good work 👍🏼
Thanks!
4 years after this video, I just got one with 3 25 round mags for $419 at PSA.
Hopefully gonna take it out soon!
How do you like it ? Any jamming issues ? I am thinking to buy one.
Thank you for making this video it's one of the best I've seen on this rifle. I have the exact same setup accept it came with an M&P red dot. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great looking rifle. I will definitely get me one.
Holy crap great shooting Buffalo!! Really enjoyed this video!!
Thank you! The group I shared in the video is the best group I've ever shot with this rifle. Average is probably about an inch @ 50 yards. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Very nice! I sort of regret buying that STG 44 -22. The magazines don't feed very well, the extractor won't grab unfired rounds, and the sights are too tall. Plus the thing weighs about 10 lbs. lol
TAOFLEDERMAUS you have any videos of it? I'll have to look that thing up!
czcams.com/video/qm_NqHjkT5c/video.html
"Nice shooting 'Tex' :-) … "Nice shooting Kentucky" just didn't sound right. Hope all is well "Buffalo Outdoors". The vid showed up in my recommendations and I couldn't resist. That Sir, is one sweet looking .22 and I loved the music score. Great review. I have been looking at one for awhile now but the polymer has been giving me "issues", and they are not cheap in Canuckistan. Having said that, most seem to like it. Perhaps its time to have another "look see". Cheers.
It maybe a little gun but it look good I wish Arkansas had guns like that I love it
Great video wish more people could use your techniques
What a great compliment. Thank you.
15-22 my favorite rifle
Looks like it would be a great plinker. Squirrels for the stew pot are always a nice idea. Nice work! Keep 'em coming.
Man I absolutely love squirrel stew and also fried squirrel with gravy and biscuits! Thanks!
Wow, mighty fine shooting
sir. I just bought this rifle last Friday. I had a couple meh red dots, going to pick a good vortex. I'm very happy with the performance last Sunday at the range.
Dang Buff, that sure was some nice grouping @ 50 yards. Here's me thinking i need a super-duper drop-in trigger and you go and shoot a group like that! Top man. 👍
Just bought one last week I like it so far
Great video! Very nice group Sir, looks to me it will be a great addition to my collection. I want one!
Thank you! It took a lot of work to find an ammo that it liked to group with but it was worth it!
Wow! .... Great shooting on the target ... nice grouping !
Thank you!
I've been thinking about getting one of these for a little while now, I'm glad to see it functions well. Also, those of us in the butt-cold north are very jealous of your weather.
The weather here has been crazy.
Id say that the 40 gr. ammo is what it likes... Dang it boy that was one heck of a group.
Thanks Bob! That is the best group I have shot with this rifle so far. I can't believe I got it on camera, normally it's the other way around...lol 50 yard groups are typically an inch or slightly larger with this rifle/red dot combo.
You should check out the McFaden machine lightin grip loader. I believe it's a must have accessory for all 15/22 owners.
I hadn't heard of them. I just looked them up, thanks for the tip. Looks like a good product.
Buffalo, thanks for another informative video. The AR platform sure is cool, though i haven't shot one yet, even at almost half a century of age. Keep the faith.
A 15/22 is definitely a good buy, ammo is cheap and it’s fun to shoot
Glad that Aguila ammo is working out for you!
It works very well! I was getting 2" groups with the Federal bulk stuff (which usually shoots very well in my other rifles). I was averaging 1" with the Aguila @ 50 yards so I figured that was good enough but when I turned the camera on and went with it I surprised myself with that 1/2" group!
That is a sweet little rifle. You have a nice range set-up. Thanks for the video.
Great job buffalo makes me want to take my old marlin39a out back and do some shooting.thanks for the inspiration.
Oh yeah you need to get her out!
The best ar22 made. Fun for everyone. Good video. I subbed.
Thanks for subbing, glad to have you here!
I don't know much about the AR platform because I don't own one. I think you just sold me one. If I can get that kind of accuracy out of a semiauto I don't see a reason not to have one. Great shooting
That group is best one I ever shot out of this rifle and I was lucky enough to capture it on video. It doesn't usually work out that way...lol I average about an inch at 50 yards.
Buffalo's Outdoors
Would you recommend buying that rifle for my first or should I just go ahead and get the 5.56/223?
In love with your accent
He's got that Bass Fisherman twang
Thank you for your help, very much. It was helpful.
Great video bro, thanks for the useful info.
Bang click Bang click? That would drive me nuts
The trigger reset is quite loud. I think that's partially due to the polymer lower and the fact that my lav mic is so close to the trigger group when I am shooting. It makes it seem louder than it actually is.
Now that has gotta be easy as hell .22 to clean for sure, very nice lookin 22. Oh nice sign on that door, reminds me of tour gun free zone t shirt almost lol
Thanks! I'm more of a free gun zone kinda guy than a gun free zone. ;)
That looks like a sweet little shooter... thanks for sharing.
It really is! Thanks for watching!
Man Buffalo you have the nicest 15-22 I have ever seen... I mean wow she's a looker for sure and a shooter! I love mine so much that I think I will be getting another cause it is more reliable and accurate than my Ruger 10/22 stainless and my takedown 10/22. Love the Kryptek camo on yours ALOT!! Thanks for the video brother!!👍🇺🇸✌
Hey man thanks! I really like these I might have to get another as well!
mine hates blazer ammo, will get 3-4 miss fires per 25 round mag
I saw the title and thumbnail and .y mind went to a dark place for a min
Another great video and sweet rifle. I really like the m&p rifles. Keep the videos coming 👍
Hey thanks man!
I really wanted it to be easy to buy a gun here in Brazil! Congrats on your channel.
Thanks!
wow bin looking for ages for a vid to show the accuracy of this rifle. now im defo having one. good shooting m8.
Been*
That first 5 round group is Impressive! Just ordered a 15/22. Going to pick up some of the Super Extra.
That is a sick looking little rifle... Those are fun guns!!! Good shooting. Nice music is that "this little mine" ?
Song is called Blue Creek Trail by Dan Lebowitz and is available for free use under the create tab. It sounds very familiar and I like the tune. Thanks for watching!
Great video, of course. You surely answered my question from your other channel without a doubt. It is a purty gun, and it shoots fantastic (well you do). *:D*
Seriously though that is one cool .22 rifle. Thanks for sharing it with us.
LOL It's a shooter! That was the best group I've ever shot with it.
Buffalo's Outdoors It was a beautiful group, and best of all it was caught on camera. :D
Normally works out the opposite... I'll shoot good groups until I turn the cameras on!
Great group 👍
got one of these for my son this past x-mas and he loves it, had a little problem with the trigger sticking to the rear and not resetting, would have to push it forward to reset but seemed to free up after a few dozen rounds. and the only other issue is I live in the slave state of Connecticut so we cant have those evil 25 round mags, telescoping stocks, or flash hiders.
paolo dep i feel your pain. I live in NY and cant even buy one.
Sad that the State Government doesn't trust it's citizens to be responsible with a fire arm that holds 25 rounds or a flash suppressor. Time for a change in Government I'd say. Get out and vote!
Great shooting in this video btw.
Holy cow! Excellent shooting brother!
Thanks pal! Gonna get you an end of video shout out before long. I appreciate your support.
You are more than welcome brother. I think a lot of you and your channel. I appreciate that very much but please don't feel obligated. I wish you the very best and I hope I got you a pateron or two :-)
Another great review thanks for posting.
Thanks for the great information.
9 million channel views and 26k subs, CZcams is clearly throttling this guys subs. You just earns yourself a sub sir.
I'm looking at getting one of these 15-22 performance centers or a Tippmann arms arms m4-22. Haven't decided yet both have pros like Tippmann is full metal but the S&W is slightly cheaper and more well known. But I'm in the UK so not sure on the warranties.
M&P makes fine Rifles!
Sure do!
And fine handguns, as well. I love my Shield 9. S&W is just the real deal, and all American.
Nice review sir! The Kryptek looks better on video outdoors than the pictures online. Now im torn between this or black.
Hey that rifle would look wicked with black furniture!
Fun gun to have in the collection!
Very fun!
My favorite 22 rifle
It's a great rifle. They did a great job on these.
I love my 15-22
got one, love it
Posting this comment at he beginning of the video so if you have covered this in the video I apologize. Just wondering, did you replace the ejector pin or stick with the stock one? Just ordered mine yesterday and have heard about ejection problems with this particular rifle.
Great video! I just purchased one couple days ago, I’ll be picking it up January 4th, I’m from Ca so it’ll come with a 10rd magazine, it comes with a Mlok green dot scope, is it difficult to zero the scope in?
Lmk how it is bro im thinking of picking it up next week they have a deal for $365 with 4x scope and few more attschements
Rradamusic, this is a fun gun to shoot, and cheap to shoot as well! I highly recommend!
@@javilopez7433 nice thanks ill be looking into one next week
Nice rifle and some good shooting.I especially like that red dot you've got on there.
I like it too. I may do a video on it and show some of it's features. I like small dots and 2 MOA seems about right to me.
I just bought this rifle today
Very nice riffle
Fried squirrel is some good eating!
Can't beat it!
Taste like 🐓
Thank you sir great video!!
You have a fantastic narrators voice.
Thanks!
Great video.....
Thank you!
Great video! Very thoughtful
I like that pattern also, I'd buy it if I found one like it.
I like it too man. Funny thing is I am not big on camo patterns on firearms but this one just looked right if you know what I mean. Thanks for tuning in!
Just saw your nice video. I just got the Romeo5 red dot. Did you specifically sight it to 50 yards for that shoot? I’m noticing the almost 3 inch site-to-barrel distance effects sighting at different ranges.
Nice group
Love the videos keep them coming buffalo
Glad you are enjoying them! I got more coming!
You've purchased a fine rifle man.
I really like it. When I first got it out of the box it felt kinda toyish but once I started shooting all that went away!
Yeah it's as light weight as can be (I still have the Gen 1 15-22) and it's proven it's self to be reliable and accurate (I've only really used it with the irons) but it works for any application you'd need it for.
Really great video. I'm going to order one right now.
Nice looking gun! Good shooting as always. What's with the "click" after pulling the trigger? Need more break-in?
That's the trigger resetting. It is sounds louder than it actually is because my lav mic I'm wearing on my shirt collar is so close to the trigger group when I'm shooting. I think the polymer lower also makes it sound a little louder too.
Shot my first deer wearing that pattern. Lol hunting 4-legged critters didn't happen until more recently, but many tasty birds fell to my shots when I was younger. Looks like a great rifle, and the trigger reset sounds like my AR's too. Had my wondering if they sell the upper to fit standard lowers but I got other things on the list first lol. My 10/22 will be good for now
Thanks for tuning in buddy! Yeah the trigger group is exactly the same as my AR. I switched them out to make sure before the video. The pins are a little longer on the 15-22 but everything else was the same. The reset is nice and positive, trigger pull is a little heavy but fairly clean. I may do a little polishing and slick it up a bit later on.
Nice, it sounds like decent milspec trigger. That's all mine have. I hit the burrs with an Arkansas stone, but that's all. What really got my attention recently is that Ruger PC Carbine. I have no shortage of Glock mags to have fun with that thing haha. Nothing like a 22 for cheap fun though (and great teaching aids)
Great videos and info! I also live in the Appalachians, this rifle is awesome for plinking, practice/training, and taking small game. The only regret is not getting it in the Highlander Camo! Keep safe & keep shooting
That is sweet looking Buff
Thanks trees!
nice video, thanks,i just picked one up today after months of himhawing around.ive not seen a bad review on it,ive been a ruger 10/22 fan for over 30years but recently have purchased a back pack mdl 10/22,a cz 512 22lr carbine which is just as good as the ruger in my opinion.barring getting a lemon the S&W should be the same.my only complaint is i cant find any magazines online or locally
Nice
Thanks
