Thankfulness seems to overcome depression
Thank you for sharing this video, I have learned so much from it. Ms. Barbara you are a blessing to so many and I’m very glad you didn’t retire and have gone overseas, you are impacting so many lives
My experience recently over the last year having a most unfortunate medical problem caused by an irresponsible doctor poisoning me with chemicals, caused lingering problems that kept me very weak. I was not suicidal, but ready for the LORD to take me. I had no hope. Then, as I got better, memory improved, health improved, as did my will to help myself. I am now almost fully recovered in all ways. My perspective on mental health being tied to physical health is that they are connected. One does affect the other. As I improved, I began thanking God and praying for others more, and praying for contentment for whatever God had in store. My yieldedness to God's plan made the difference. I tried harder to build a little strength. I tried harder to eat a little better. Mental, Physical, Spiritual all affect emotional. There is not one easy "quick fix", but one must consider the "whole man" to be totally healed.
Angel Dr. Barbara, thank you. I'm trying my best to think positive when there are so many negativity in my life happening right now. My husband passing almost 4 months ago, my eldest son leaving home 2 weeks after his dad death, he didnt take it too good, loans, health but above all I have God on my side no matter what. Yeah her “active listening” skills could use some work. Saying “mhm” in an annoying tone after everything Barbara says is unnecessary. She only needs to nod.

Thank you, thank you. God is so amazingly gentle and I’m so forever grateful to him for you Ms.Barbara. Yes for Behavriol Modification Techniques. It’s something I’ve been conditioned to do because I wanted to get well when I grew up. I was 13 years old when my journey began because I decided to listen to my dear mom and dad, because they loved me and wanted me well. I’m old now and I’ve got one of the hardest mind condition that was given a hopeless label by Drs. Yeah many years of drugs and electrical treatments . But my parents never gave up to help me and I always had bht’s and became able to make choices for myself, I love my Lord and savior Jesus who was with me since I was seventeen and I love my Lord and Savior for saving my Life and giving me the best parents in the world . I’ve also been xersizing since I’m 10 and my daddy moved us to a sunny place too . I’m in my sixties now and I’ve never lost my love for God .
I’m crying as I’m watching with documentary. I’m thankful for her obedience to God.. I just recently found this woman on my CZcams and it has been a tremendous blessing in my life.. Thank you God ,I’ll give you all the praise and all the glory you are everything life life is amazing on your side…Hallelujah❤

Think it’s imperative to emphasise recent research showing how depression, and anxiety and mental health illnesses in general are a consequence of inflammation in the brain. It is incredibly difficult to counteract such physiological effects via “thinking” yourself better when the brain that has to do the thinking is severely hampered in this manner. It is not impossible, but one has to target the root cause first and foremost. I therefore do not agree that it is a mental choice in the way that it is emphasised here. We have to have compassion with the pain and suffering people are enduring in a society that encourages poor food and lifestyle choices. It is an incredibly difficult and challenging journey to overcome these issues. There is hope though, but it takes considerable effort, support and time.

I love Barabara O’Neil, but when I shared her with a dr friend, she questioned whether she was an actual NURSE, or did she just take courses. The latter doesn’t matter at all to me, but I do want to be able to be honest about her credentials. Can you please clarify?

At 54 minutes Barbara says her husband told her she had 3 choices :she only gives two, the first was to retire and the other I couldn't understand her. Can someone tell me what she said as her second choice? Thank you in advance!
I’d say her 3rd choice was jail, as she could choose to breach the lifetime ban.
Her second was to work abroad - and as I understand this is why we have her as a mentor now 🙏🏾Bringing the Good News!!

Dear sister in Christ. When you say "...it unties the hands of God...", know that God's hands are not tied. Ever. God Almighty does not not need a person's permission or agreement to do anything. How did God create the universe, the living creatures, His angels and His kingdom? He did not need help or permission to do so. His hands are not tied. God does not need our will to agree with him. Look at Paul, God did not need Paul's will to align before he encountered him or blinded him. God did not need Joseph's will to align or his permission before he was cast into slavery...we need to stop thinking that humans have control over what God can do. I hear this so much, it's crazy to think humans can "allow" God to work in their lives.
So unfortunate that the interviewer keeps going “um hmm, um hmm…” I simply couldn’t listen anymore ~ the annoying interruptions just too frustrating… 😢

@mathero8896 The person who made the comment about witchcraft is most likely making a reference to the fact that Ellen White practiced a witch ritual when she was told by a spirit that when she wanted to see Jesus, she had to uncoil a green cord to see Him.

Barbara: "People don't realise they have more control than they think they have".
I'm not so sure about this. It's probably the other way around. Don't mean to be rude, but Barbara is 71, and she looks 71. After all she knows, she hasn't managed to look younger than her age. Personally, that's not reasurring to me. And, no, I'm not a shallow person. Just a realistic one.
However, I don't like saying this, since the Medical Mafia has been after her for years. And, of coarse, I'd always take her advice over theirs, despite the statement above.
I'm 54 and she looks early 60s to me and I've seen 50 year olds that look older than us both.
I think our beloved Barbs is an absolutely gorgeous soul and a very modest one at that. She was never the one to put make up on or do her hair in a fancy way. If she did, watch out! She'd look 40!!! But instead she chose to be natural and embrace her natural beauty.
She looks sooooo balanced, so centred, so happy and soooo healthy.
I think she looks waay waay younger then 70 😊❤❤❤.

Mental health includes bipolar, schizophrenia etc. and for that we need real psychiatrist not just diet advice. I do eat healthy and exercise but she has no expertise in more difficult mental states.
@MsOka007. There are a whole lot of studies coming out that actually prove nutrition , especially micronutrients, do actually heal the mind, all aspects of mental health.
But Firstly, Jesus is your mental health provider. Don't limit what He can/ will do.
This interviewer didn't even comb her hair and put on a decent outfit for such an important interview.
