I simply loved Ahmer , Areej chemistry in Jalan. Their eye contact, facial expressions were so sweet. Beautiful, soft, subtle romance, without any physical touch, yet so impactful. If Nisha is a egomaniac narcissist, Asfi has serious anger management issues. Excellent performances though.
Raaz e Ulfat : I liked that a realistic grey side of human character was shown in Mushk. A young beautiful girl, blindly in love with one and forced to live with another whom she respects but simply cannot love . She may not marry Irtiza but cannot stop loving him. That was very natural.
It genuinely hurts the way our community treats transgenders...bitter reality
Jalan story is not protrayed well

The character is beyond reality!

Amna i was 18 when i got married all of a sudden in 21 days i came to usa . I had no family here . Now i am 29 i have 3 kids and my eldest is 10 years old . Looking back i would not say that i had a very happy married life in the early years . We had fights some not very good memories i have . But now i am happy and very satisfied in my life my husband has exactly turned into the man i once prayed for. Now i feel that Allah is listening to all my prayers . I use to complain to my parents but now i couldnt be more thankful to them . I think with a little compromise and patience life can be beautiful . But it takes time . I use to put little duas in quran and believe me when i say this Allah is listening to all of them . Not relating to anything but just wanted to share .
In my opinion, Ahmer's opening shot just indicates the pain he's going through at the moment. He's moved on but the memories will haunt him for some time.

Talking about Raaz e Ulfat, I’ve noticed one thing that when an OST of a drama becomes popular, it is usually used a a lot. This is not the first time. It happened in Khaani and other dramas as well.
You should talk about Asfand being glorified and sympathized by Kinza aapa in this episode. Asfand is equally guilty.
I don’t feel any sympathy for ulfat, she forced her husband to marry that wonan and got millions for it, what she supposed after spending millions shafaq will quit.., no,, she’s more at fault n shafaq too

Exactly I agree. Ulfat sold her husband. If her love was strong she would never have shared Shayan. But now she wants money and Shayan.
Two quick comments:
1. The outfit is amazing and looks amazing on you Amna. This color is very flattering and compliments you well.
2. For those who are concerned about interruptions, this is a conversation, among two friends, that happens to be taped and posted. If you view it as such, the interruptions feel part of the rhythm.
Minal nails those scenes where she showcases her confidence and seduces the man. A female character who knows her seductive power.
Keeping her evil side separate.
Raaz e ulfat: they will just show an insignificant emotional dialogue or memory and Mushk realizes she needs to go back to Ismail and save her marriage 😂
The writer n producer of jalan has portrayed Nisha as a person having no moral compass. She has significant greed for money, power n self obsession!!!!

I was wondering if I am being bias against minal, and I analyzed it and I don't believe I am. There are moments were she's "Acting with her eyes" however there's nothing deep going on, you don't get lost in the character because you can tell she's just "ACTING" not being. Also her crying over her father and when AfshandYar locks her in the room is really bad, she doesn't even shed a tear. Now this isn't all Minal's fault its also the script, story and direction, this is a soap opera and nothing more, so you can't get much out of it, there's nothing deep going on its very cheesy and sometimes dumb. Ultimately Pakistan needs better content and yes it needs better actors who have the strength and dignity to become role models not show offs, which is what 99% of these actors are.
I understand what Amna meant when she said that certain msgs or ideas in Raaz e ulfat are really good. I get the same feeling watching the show. The basic plotline or idea was not bad at all but the wat story was written into a screenplay and the dreamy direction completely messed up the project.
Can u ppl plz convey this to the channels and producers that they should get some young, educated performing arts students of direction and screenplay and give them a chance plz.

Rapid test is NOT reliable, my colleague gave the rapid test and the result was inconclusive despite him having all the basic symptoms.
If it is positive it is reliable. if it comes negative you can't be sure because it has approx 20 % false negative. If you have symptoms you need to test further

I absolutely agree with Amna, This episode of Prem Gali really won my heart !! It was a fine example of wholesome inclusion of transgender community. Especially because of such simply real potrayal of characters. Along with how beautifully the three of them have been woven in the story. 💜🤩

Yeah but educated or overseas viewers are a minority as compared to the middle class or lower class economic background viewers who agree with the ideologies shown in these dramas n that's what they want to watch. So TV channels are just doing the right business who said they were doing it for the love of art. It was all about art when there was one TV channel. Now it's not the case there is so much national and international content aired everyone wants to make the most money out of it🙄

Lakin inki kahani shadi ky bad shru ho rhe ha ky aik khandan ko dulhan chahiye the aik to damad, to ab jab mil gya ja how they are going to react. Shadi ky bad wali kahani zada interested ha and us me jo different topics ko chehera ja raha wo bht acha ha. Bus ab chahaca ki khala ky sath shadi ho jani chahiye

What a good coincidence, today me & my mom was discussing the same thing. Early marriages in dramas and it usually happens in those dramas where the marriages turn out to be not good in result.

Pls don’t go to chughtai lab. I was travelling to london i needed to done my test i been at chughtai’s they declared as positive i was so stressed and panicked no symptoms nothing but anyways i missed my flight and then next day i have done another test from shaukat khanam and agha khan and it was negative from both then i discussed this prob with few people alot people faced same problem from chughtai’s they are definitely not reliable pls be careful and stay safe.

Chugtai is pathetic. They offered me and my friends to give us a negative report if we bribed them as we wanted to travel via Turkish airlines. So you can imagine what kind of results they are issuing.
Sana Abdullah, that’s immoral and unethical...organizations like that should be reported...they’re risking lives and putting others in peril to make a quick buck...may Allah guide them...
@@sabdullah1979 i can imagine they can do anything so when my test got positive from chughtai’s , Very next day i got calls from them like they want to come to my house and want to do other family members test (to make more money ) and they got so rude and told me i cant travel etc etc i asked them give me sometime to get another test done from at least one more lab because i knew 100% i am not having anything well no one can imagine i been thorough most stressful two days untill i get another test done and got my flight and came back in london.. they are the most horrible people 😡

I do agree with Hassan that people who're saying that all that Minal did in Jalan is just shouting are biased and blind owing to their hatred for Nisha.. her facial expressions in this drama are phenomenal and she has given such a brilliant performance that I can say without any doubt that she's one of the finest actresses of Pakistan drama industry.. seeing her in Hassad and then seeing her in Jalan makes me feel as if these two are two different actresses.. btw I was aware of her acting skills since I watched her 'Mohabbat Jaye Bhar Mein' when she was just a kid..

Both equally as bad ... Shafaq took advantage of Ulfat and lured her using her weakness. Ulfat, although shown as an ‘innocent’ woman, she is an adult so should have known better and have better self control.
Shafaq didn't put a gun on anyones head. Ulfat was weak and stupid and greedy and she loved money more which is why she sold her husband. Shafaq just tried her luck good on her for trying lol

Hi Aamna, hope you don't mind my saying that antigen test many times doesn't give correct result. This creates a lot of issues. RTPCR is the authentic test. And even if someone contracts the virus, it doesn't show up immediately. It takes time, between 5 to 8 days most often. I am sure you, too, know all these information. Since I follow Something Haute, I feel connected to you both and wanted to just caution you. Stay safe.

Wait 5-7 days after exposure before testing so you get more accurate results.
Also the longer molecular test is more accurate than the rapid test.
There are more false positives/negatives when you test immediately after exposure and with the rapid test.

Jalan and many of these others, there just bad soap opera's. In my opinion the acting is subpar, however its not just minal its all the cast, and the truth is, thats what acting in a soap opera is like. You cannot get great acting in a soap opera, its not Shakespeare lol. I wish Pakistani televesion would try something different than these saas bahu drama's as they have done so many that now with Jalan and Nand their getting very vulgar. I would honestly love to see something like Ertragrul, doesn't have to have that budget but something different, interesting and more in line with our culture and just make it a lot less episodes, instead of 30 or 90 episodes why not 6 a season?

I think Hassan is thinking too deep about Jalan, its a very mediocre show that does not have the intelligence to talk about Mental Illness in a proper manner, minal in your interview talked about Nisha illness, however that doesn't mean the writers and creators actually put that in or had the skill to properly deal with it. Its basically a cheesy soap opera, like all Pakistani shows

My whole family was tested positive. We had quarantined ourselves. Alhumdullilah we all were asymptomatic but my dadi and father got serious. Both were hospitalized. Alhumdullilah Baba is back home. But my dadi is still in serious condition. Her saturation becomes low without oxygen mask.
Do pray for my dadi's good health. And please keep social distancing. Dont take Covid lightly.

Why is it that when directors mess up on the plot and trivialise or simplify actions of the characters, they like to blame it on the audience. I have never seen any director praise something good that they’ve done and supported it by saying this is what the audience like to watch. Sounds like they are running out of who to direct the blame on
With an exception of Farooq Rind who watched reviews and understood the audiences and created a beautiful PKS
I just love Prem Gali no matter what . Its breath of fresh air in the middle of polluted dramas . Same goes with ghissi pitti and mushk.
My preferred ending for Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida will be that Shahaan divorces Ulfat. Ulfat regretting her choice and not able to enjoy the money she always had wanted. She has everything yet nothing & understands how Shafaq felt and why she wanted to marry Shahaan.
Then Shahaan finds about the deal between the ladies. Gets upset, disappointed and loses his job (already he has lost a few contract due to family drama😜). He stays with Shafaq but emotionally detached. So now Shafaq has the man (as she wanted) but who is not into her and a lower middle class lifestyle. Both of which start to get to her and she realizes why Ulfat was always complaining about lack of money. Shafaq understands why Ulfat did what she did.
I don't agree with Amna, this time, although I almost always do, I feel for Shafaq but I completely hate Ulfat. She wants her cake n eat it too. She took millions from Shafaq but she does not want to share Shahaan, her attitude, her negligence of her child. I think Ulfat is a monster, even after she got what she wanted her attitude towards life n her family did not change, on the other hand Shafaq changed herself completely, made big compromises, is nice towards the child n mother in law, all because of her love for Shahaan.
I don't watch Jalan or Raz e Ulfat but I always watch your reviews of these dramas too again and again. You guys are literally the best reviewers right now in Pakistan.
If I am not wrong (you can confirm too),Abdul Maria (the character) is quite a famous choreographer,he was a judge in one of the dance competitions in some morning show plus he was an important character in Alif,ALLAH and Insan also.kudos to him👏👏👏

In prem gali, I also loved that the guy sukhi goes out and someone misbehaves with him and he retorts back. Doesn't just listen cry and feel bad for himself but he actually stands up for himself. It was a good to watch an empowering portrayal of these people because whenever they are shown seriously it is so tragic that it becomes heart wrenching to watch. But here like Amna said it was dealt with in a very light hearted mannet n I loved it.👌👌
Well I agree with Aamna about that odd dialogue of ahmer rest jalan is interesting with sweet romance I'm done with the depressing things now, nisha just took abortion pill I feel but still nothing happens this quick some time issues . Minal performance is like changing at some places like the silent expression are nice but other scenes where she is shouting I get irritated honestly she must melow down 🙄
I can't understand why Minal's getting praised for Jalan. If you noticed it, she's always rotating her eye from left to right and vice versa when she's confronting or talking with a second person every time. Thats the most common expression an actor can show. Emmad Irrfani on the other side portrays wide range of emotions that looks natural and not forced. In fact Hajra Yamin is also a really good actor. But minal: A big NO

Initial negative test doesn't necessarily mean that you are not positive for sure... If you have a positive case in your household, you should still isolate to still make sure that you haven't caught the virus. Sometimes the first test comes out as negative but if you test again in a week or so, it comes back positive

Nisha is a full blown psychopath. Her characterization and scenes are pretty convincing to me because I have always considered her a psychopath because she had zero remorse (a classic psychopathic trait). My only problem with Nisha's characterization is that the story was constantly portrayed as being based on sister rivalry and all. Had they advertised it as a story about a psychopath, and executed a little differently, the drama would have been so different and refreshing!
Actually amna u feel sympathy for ulfat coz at the end she is first wife and we ladies as always feel for first wife as we always think that second wife is home wrecker.
Raaz e ulfat story track reminds me of Digest writer drama where Saba Qamar's character is married to Gauhar Rasheed while being in love or infatuation with Agha ali (handsome, educated, wealthy)character but end up staying with her husband showing institution of marriage is very strong. I think end of Raaz e ulfat would b similar.
For people who are sick with cold, vitamin D3 with K2, zinc, vitamin c(not oranges), bone broth. Only hot food. Nothing cold. Stay safe.

I sort of agree with Hasan on this debate whether it's the people who want to see bad/poor story dramas or the makers are giving them this stuff. I do think both are to blame, but drama makers more, because they have CAPTIVE AUDIENCE. Most Pakistanis especially women like to watch Pakistani TV, so whatever you give them, they will watch. Give them good quality stuff, they will watch that and appreciate it. Some who are not so good at choosing, they will develop the taste for it. Main thing is drama makers should do some for the sake of ART too, not just money, money, money. An interesting example. When Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig were getting married they decided that Rachel Weisz will work in good art movies and Daniel Craig will continue in James Bond for making money to run the household. This is what Rachel Weisz said in one of her interviews.
@hassan. The test can stay positive for 4-6 weeks after initial positivity. But one does not need to isolate for that period. As the infectivity is gradually decreased.

Nisha is a narcissist/psychopath and such people are not capable of empathy. They don’t feel guilty or regretful of their action rather gas light and blame others like nisha is still blaming menoo. They are not mentally ill as in can’t control their action and are rather smart and manipulative and can be persecuted for their crime in any court of law. The relationship advise to people realated to them is run as far away as possible. If nisha doesn’t all of a sudden starts to feel guilty and the voice of her conscience drives her crazy or she commits a sucide ( because thats not what a narcissist would do) and is rather punished for her actions, i will be very impressed by the writer. Because usually our writer do not research the characters so well, they touch upon such topics but have no idea what they are writing about.

I agree with Amna. You can't excuse every bad trait in a character by saying that they are mentally unhinged. Nisha is shown as a purely black character. It's an unreal portrayal but I guess that is the writer's choice, to show her antagonist as being so black that there is no redemption for her what so ever.
