    I think Hum tv is very regularly just destroying these good dramas one after the other. They take a very good start and after 15 or 20 episodes they start dragging them and completely destroy the story. This has become a regular pattern with all Hum tv dramas. It's sooooo irritating.

    I stopped watching PKS the moment Shanzay was reintroduced. It was intolerable I swear!! Tbh, this could've been the best drama of 2020 with a new premise and great performances but our producers have to just drag a good drama and completely destroy it. Amna is absolutely right about pyar ke sadqay , when I was Watching I felt the same , it's far fetched unnecessarily. Pakistani dramas are becoming a bit boring now. That's why my list of Pakistani dramas is getting shrunk. And I have noticed my friends who are from India are in same disappointment because they love to watch Pakistani dramas (as it's the best drama industry in the world) . Same old topics ,same themes dont know why they are going back to the fall like once they were in when star plus and ztv overcame Pakistan badly . Problem is that some dramas start with real might but after a while they lose that power and attraction because of too much episodes . Amna is right that pyar ke sadqay is all over now ,so many different stories came up all of a sudden.

    I agree with Aamna about PKS. I had high hopes with this drama and it definitely had a lot of potential but sadly it has unnecessarily been stretched out, dissolving the main plots of the story. The development of the story didn’t take place as it should have and now it seems like it’s all over the place just like Aamna said. This drama has such great actors with powerful screen presence but unfortunately what a waste of potential because of poor story writing.

    Feel like the writer screwed over Abdullah's character arc entirely. Initially, his character had tremendous scope for development and growth which could have unfolded beautifully over the 20+ episodes... but the writer completely cast him aside in the 2nd half, forgot about his existence and reduced him to this confused one dimensional character. The only reason this character is still relevant is cuz of Bilal Abbas. Props to the dude for doing the very best he could have with this role... he is carrying Abdullah on his back and shoulders at this point.

The thing is Abdullah isn't any other average malecharacter with a supposed ego or pride, He was initially given a very delicate and complicated background story- a story of mental ,physical and verbal abuse. A character representing such an important issue should be not written off so lightly or lazily later on in the show. It's disappointing in my opinion

Shanzay's track was totally unnecessary and so is majbeen's pregnancy now even if Abdullah and majbeen end up together there is no meaning to it because as Aamna said there is no evolution of there characters abdhullah is as weak as episode 1. I disagree with amna on pks. The pregnancy part was necessary, and i loved that it didnt change the dynamic between them, its not like once he hears that she's expecting, he brought her home, it didnt change anything. I feel its necessary because of sarwar's reaction, it will be a problem for him and that might open abdullah's eyes, hopefully. Also, there is character growth, hassan's right, mahjabeen has really matured, abdullah, on the other hand, still has to go through things to grow and I feel that will happen in the last two episodes. He needs to confornt sarwar, the guy who's bullied him in his formative years to really mature and take a step towards being his own person. And mahjabeen talking about going to the hospital alone, that was in character, she is portrayed as innocent, she says what comes to her mind, it doesnt mean that she hasnt matured. I dont think you were being fair with pks. I feel all the new developments are actually going to push the story forward.

    • @aliyabawany2444
      @aliyabawany2444 Před 4 lety +5

      Totally. Some of the questions raised in the previous episode were answered in this episode, like why does Washma hate Sarwar so much. He has threatened her with the worst he is capable of and emotionally scarred her childhood. We saw what Mansoora looked like when Sarwar was somewhat infatuated by her. We got to see Sarwar's interaction with Lalarukh which only made sense after she was heard talking about Sarwar personally to Washma. If they had left those little touches of he said, she said, without cementing them, they would be incomplete. It isn't Mahjabeen and Abdullah on the front of the title, it's four or five people, Shanzeh being one of them. Shanzeh was to leave after the first four episodes, but then why did they show her relationship with Isa? So her return wouldn't come as a shock. The only thing that annoys me is the scenes they include in the promo of the upcoming episode and then chop them off from the episode and insert them in the next to next episode. For example, we were really curious to learn how Sarwar was sure Abdullah had divorced Mahjabeen when he took sweet meats for his mother, but it turned out Abdullah did no such thing. Abdullah needs time. He needed time when there was nothing. Now he has learnt that he's about to become a father, so of course that's new data input in a slow processor/Abdullah's brain. As for Mahjabeen, is she supposed to grow wings? People 🙄

      Both your comments show not Mahjabeen and Abdullah, but the two of you gossip queens need to go back to pre-nursury for being so obsessed with "positions of sleeping as a couple" they're called, and "but how did it actually happen" to get a briefing on the bees and birds story because that's lesson one. Mahjabeen will manage as a mother, don't you worry your pretty little head about her. She's a lot less chatty since that first pregnancy rumour episodes ago, and also now that her mother-in-law has shown her a cold shoulder, her father-in-law has hit on her, and her father has passed away after being jailed, so there's your character arch. Her mother has taught her a proverb here and a principle there that she repeated before Abdullah being the upright girl that she is, she is receptive to more lessons, and under her mother's shadow, the awaited child will be raised to be as bright as a button. You however need to expand your exposure to come across some intellectually challenged people so you can scoff at them in public. It's very sophisticated I have heard.

    • @aliyabawany2444
      @aliyabawany2444 Před 4 lety +1

      @Zaynab Mahmood Chaudhry Mahjabeen assumed that she was pregnant because she saw a woman who vomited declared as such. If you had asked me sixteen years ago, I would have told you the postman delivers babies to married couples. Sarwar's invasion of her personal space came next in the story and Mahjabeen asked Abdullah to touch her so she could confirm whose and what kind of touch feels appropriate. Washma encouraged Mahjabeen saying she should dress up for Abdullah, and Mansoora encouraged Abdullah because there's no reason not to close the gap with Mahjabeen. Mahjabeen asked him to take her hand like they show in romantic films the night everyone was out attending a wedding. The next thing you know, they probably lost their inhibitions as many younger people do who have no sexual education leading to unplanned teen pregnancies. Abdullah knew she is the only woman who is not off limits for him because the last time Mahjabeen said she was having a baby, he thought it was impossible as the only person she should have one with was him and they hadn't slept together. He knew how it's done and Mahjabeen didn't; he was just shy right after his wedding to Mahjabeen because that had happened suddenly, and Sarwar's discouragement took more time. Abdullah took the lead and Mahjabeen who was uneducated had heard her mother tell her that she shouldn't let Sarwar touch her and as for Abdullah, he must be allowed, after Mahjabeen had reported the harassment.

    2. Ishqia is awwwwl about Roomie since day one. I liked how they wrapped up everything about climax in just one episode.
    3. In Jalan, dont forget to consider the nature of certain men that regardless of loving their wife they still get attracted towards beautiful and over type of girls specially when they are sure that the girl is doing this deliberately to attract them. Asfi character was yet to be elaborated so may be this is how Asfi is. Also keeping in mind he decided to marry meenu just by seeing her laughing at an event, it shows he has no control over his emotions.
    4. In pyar k sadqay I dont agree with the character evolution of Abfullah and mahjabeen point. They're not supposed to learn to talk fluently and act in a certain normal way. Pregnancy isn't going to give mahjabeen a raise in her IQ neither it is going to improve bilal's confidence level.

    Pyar ke Sadqay definitely has got developments now which aren't helping the story . They somehow give the " Been There , Done That " feel. As much as I had been rooting for Abdullah and Mahjabeen , no doubt beautifully played by Yumna and Bilal, Episode 28 was not even a filler ! Somehow I could have called this episode "Paisa Vasool" and neglected the other unnecessary tropes if they would have shown in this episode how did Mahjabeen become pregnant ! Farooq Rind had immense room for that when Shanzay asked Abdullah in the mall " main kaisi lag rahi hun" and yes by that time Abdullah knew about Mahjabeen's pregnancy ! At that point of time , a beautiful parallel in the flashback could have been shown when Mahjabeen asked Abdullah " main kaisi lag Rahi Hoon and he even held her hand " that would have directly shown way to the idea that how did they come close ! Instead he got the " khidmat Kar rahi hun, tawajjoh de rahi hun" flashback ! I mean at least one well used flashback in EP 28 could have made for other absurdities of the episode . I still hope that now 29 th episode , which is pivotal, will have some good stuff to offer in terms of confusions and loose ends being sorted ! Channel heads are hell bent on dragging stories ! This could have easily ended at 25th . Kudos to the actors who gripped still but the channel rips things apart . P.S : ARY Digital rejected Pyar Ke Sadqay for they didn't find enough " Rona Dhona" in it !!! Seriously Pakistan needs Web Platforms to do justice to directors and actors !

The clip where Mahjabeen wore a shocking pink dress and Abdullah couldn't keep his eyes off her, and they decided to ditch Shanzeh's wedding could have been fit there as a flashback, just that part. That would be a natural flashback a husband who is two timing in the mall would have, unless he has been spending every night with his wife, in which case concepion would only be too natural to recollect events leading to.

    Aamna really is taking pyar k sadqey very personally and isn’t getting over it. LOL.
    Characters have evolved for sure, Mahjabeen saying that “I’ll take exams” is a major development which can’t be ignored.
    Vashma was sexually abused because Sarwar asks her “Have you told your mother something ?” He asks this after Atiqa’s character asks Sarwar that Vashmsa is unhappy with you. The store room was a metaphor.
    Pho’s scene was a useless entry for sure but it was nice to see the Sarwas has strong women coming for him to take him down, even after the power he asserts on them.
    Abdullah is way off as a character and this is where I share Aamna’s frustration.
    Good job you guys, I look forward to your episode.
    Eid Mubarak 🌸

    In Pyar ke Sadqay, Mahjabeen's pregnancy track ruined everything. The show had so much potential to give strong messages on childhood abuse and emotional denial of parents like Mansoora in our society and importance of mental health, but they are back to cliche romance storyline.
    And Mahjabeen's makeup at the hospital for a fake pregnancy glow was the most irritating thing ever.

    I watched an interview of Bilal and Yumna and in that they said you can look forward to our characters grow - but it's almost over and there has been no growth! Abdullahs stammer was meant to go, he was meant to expose the step dad about the business as well as confront him, MJ was meant to become more of a woman... Kuch bhi nahin huwa hain yaar. Why cram it in the last two episodes rather than develop gradually?

    Pyar k sadqey is being dragged a lot now, the episode was too slow, dialogues and scenes were taking so much of time, like more than half episode was done but nothing was happening.. yes Bilal's expressions were very good, but everything was a slow track.. and I agree with Aamna that now at 28th episode they have opened two more chapters, i.e of lalarukh having some secrets and washma being harassed, when are they actually going to show Abdullah and his mother understand the whole situation and apologize to mahjabeen and bring her back home.. in short bohot raita phaila diya h ab
    P.s: shanzey's shadi ka joda didn't actually look like something she would wear in her own wedding, it was weird😂

    I agree with Amna's opinion on Pyar Ke Sadqay 1000000%. The characters haven't evolved a tad bit in the sense that it's episode 28 and Abdullah is STILL CONFUSED about his love for Mahjabeen. On the contrary, it's high time Mahjabeen to take a stand for herself. No matter how innocent or dumb a person is, if they aren't 'mentally challenged' or 'crazily obsessed' with someone, they would definitely realize the injustice happening with them. I really hoped that atleast Munshi sahab's death was a turning point for Mahjabeen's personality evolution arc.
    P.S: Eid Mubarak to Hassan and Amna, and anyone's who's reading this. May Allah bless u all with the best of everything in both the worlds. Aameen! 😊

    Totally agree with Amna.. if we remember a few episodes back before ep 15.. it looked as if Abdullah will stand up in office against sarwar.. and mahajabeen will support him.. their friendship will evolve both their characters.. but it’s ruined with so many stuff.. there was a slight change in both the charcters until then but it has lost the charm and track.. and same way the ending scene between lalarukh and sarwar looked as if both still have some affair and he will disclose it if she messes up with his plans.. they could have built this story with light moments to show two innocent characters being groomed with each other’s support.. it’s tangled just the way a fine plot lik cheekh was did..

    Amna please don't compare the women you know with Mahjabeen. Once you've accepted Abdullah and Mahjabeen for whatever they are don't expect them to grow and develop much for I don't think there is much room there. It is dragging now but Ithink after listening to the writer's interview on another channel that initially this drama was very different and was more about sexual harassment, I can make a guess as to where the problem lies. It was going to be called 'chungul'! I think this aspect was watered down and the cuteness of the protagonists was emphasized which went down very well with the viewers. I think Amna finds it difficult to watch negative twists and turns in a story( and so do many other people) and I think her comments reflect that. I may be wrong but does this particular director take stories in a direction of his choice (as he did in Ishq Zahe Naseeb)rather than what the writer originally intended?
    Also channels want to prolong dramas with good ratings!

    Raz e Ulfat
    Sehba was glaring at Stella, because she had always hated Nomi's doggo. Now that she has found Nomi's dark secret, the dog is starting to look like another one of the references she had been ignoring since the beginning, not that I understand the link but it all seems mystical to Sehba now. Sehba was almost hurting Stella in her mind and when Stella caught that through Sehba's eyes, she barked.
    Another interpretation is that Sehba was waiting for the dog to bark at her because Sehba is miserable now, and it doesn't matter anymore to pick a fight with a dog. This aspect/interpretation reminds me of Shehr e Zaat.
