I somehow finished this entire 3 part series without vomiting, though am on the verge. Thank you for your superb presentation. I have *no* idea how you and your team got through the research.
I hope ALL the perpetrators and enablers (including people who ignore and refuse aid to naked, bloody, dog-collared women) burn in whatever version of an afterlife gives them the most fear.
Now shutting off computer & going to concentrate very hard & send every good thought I can muster to the survivors and the families of the deceased.

Who knows what really went down in this clusterfuck of a case. No actual evidence, but he said she said type of stuff. None of them is a reliable person.

You might want to listen to that podcast on the East area rapist. It is excellent.
I read about this case some years ago and had been trying to find a podcast of it which was difficult bc I couldn't remember his name nor the reference to 'toy box' but could recall plenty of stomach churning details, some of which were not revealed on this podcast, one in particular which is what has haunted me since first knowing about this case. It's mind boggling how ppl can not only do this kind of thing to others, but revel in it, get off on it, search for it. Nothing can defend Ray's actions but I think there's a lot to be said for psychological damage and what that can (not always) do to a person. It's the only explanation I have, and the fact that every person's life experiences are different, they experience those things differently, deal with those things differently and each person is built differently. We're not robots. Best we can do is hope that less damage is inflicted and then deal with the consequences when it is. But it's terrifying knowing that ppl like him exist in this world.
This is the most disgusting filth I have heard. It is unbelievable that Jessie Ray got off like that. That bastard didn't deserve the decency of a trial they should have taken him out back.

i just googled his name, and all the graphic images of his 'toy box' popped up, i wish i could unsee that shit. i'm sorry the sicko died only after 8 months...i wish "bubba" could've gotten his hands on ray before he died. hope he's rotting in hell
The only good thing about this three part story is, I didn't know it was this case when I started. That's it.

Still cant believe cindy hendy is now released from prison! She is sick and deserves to rot there for the rest of her life plea deal or not
I cannot believe that deals are done which allow such HORRIBLE people to have such lenient jail time. Makes me sick to my stomach. The politics of it is just as disgusting as the man himself (and his cohorts)

Hmm, it was Cynthia Vigel, not Viel or Viehl. VI-GEL, i thought that she was of asian descent or perhaps jewish, but shouldnt it be pronounced VI-GEL? :O And thank the real god he died so soon after being sent to prison so he didnt have to rot there.
