Fyn Rundt? Around Fyn's Hovet [3]

- The morning gave a quiet wind from the back, perfect for rounding Fyn's Hovet. It was bumpy there, with confused waves, not a place to hang about!
Around the corner things got quiet, the waves dissapeared in an instant, making easy miles along the high shore, until....
There was some rain, but when the front really came through it was mayhem! I just had time to pull on my bolero (an extra neoprene jacket) and I needed it. High high winds were trying to push me offshore, the wind was very unstable so I couldn't hike out full, the floats worked super here.
Onshore I spotted a camping and I went in for a coffee to warm up, which turned into renting a cabin for warming up and rest. Well needed and deserved :)

Great to see you sailing again.
This is great - enjoying the saga. Thanks for sharing
cool trip ⛵⛵⛵
Another great video. Many thanks.
Thank you for another great and inspiring video!
That water you are sailing on is no joke with such a slim hull. Your mastery shows well.
[blush] mastery? Being on shore when conditions are not good ;)
Big water indeed, intimidating but quite exciting, I took the chance to cross when I got it.
@@Canoesailor knowing when to go or not is part of it I'd like to think.
@@ilyafaden1789 Indeed!
I fine episode.
Yes, good fun, thanks;)
Great drone work showing us the vast sea you were about to cross, very brave on your own, well done!
Cabin was well deserved after that adventure l must say.
Keep going if you can,
we are all loving it 👍.
Thanks Chris, yes I still have 15 days in Sweden to edit and post 🤣🤣

Plenty for us to look forward to then, cheers 👍.
Nice!
I am enjoying another of your adventures. Can you tell me if there is an episode where you explain the change of sail rig? I apparently missed it.
You mean the floats? I take them off and stow them in light winds.
@@Canoesailor No, you started out with a three-cornered sail and now you have a four-cornered, shorter mast. Perhaps that was on your earlier canoe.
@@jimkonst I see, yes I have a race and cruising rig. But on this trip I only brought the cruise rig of course. This rig douses and reefs easy and is on a carbon mast. The race rig is a fathead mylar sail, on a aluminium mast, it goes to windward very well. That rig can be seen on the Segelcriterium videos.
@@Canoesailor Thanks.
@@Canoesailor Thank you. Fair winds.
Hello Koos, what is the beam of your outriggers? Thanks
it is about 2.5 metres
