- One of the best things about the hobby of metal detecting is the ability to give back to the community. We often do this by providing free recovery services for those that are trying to locate lost items such as rings, pieces of jewelry and even lost property stakes. Today was one of those days! #metaldetecting #ringrecovery

@@TheHistoryDigger1 Rob, it takes skill and knowledge of the detector’s behavior when trying to recover a gold ring. Been there and have not been successful. Imagine trying to find a ring amongst hundreds of shell casings from target practice-it’s not happening. 😳

Awesome recovery! Now for a little tech talk, which detector did you use? Was it a gold band? A lot of trash in the ground?
XP Deus ll. Sweeper Program. Nine inch coil. Sensitivity reduced to 90. Recovery Speed of 3. Target ID came up as 59. Took three passes of the initial area to locate. Some pull tabs, bottle caps and nails were found in the 20 mins prior to me locating the ring.

I have a question on the Minlub 800 when you go to setup for park one. And you save your cherry, picking set up when you push your little man. The little icon comes on and beeps it saves my cherry peeking, but when I want to go back to part one, it will not allow me to what am I doing wrong
