Love these old trucks, always wondered why ALL of the 2 ton Ford, Chevy, Dodge or whatever with a gas engine rolled off the assembly line with a horrible exhaust leak, have never heard one without it. You can rebuild the engine, machine the manifolds, use new gaskets, run complete new exhaust system, and after about 50 miles, boom another exhaust leak.
(sarcasm) the factory workers really didn't like putting mufflers on big blocks because they sound so good so they had to get by with the very minimum! lol
I was just about to comment the same thing. I have literally never been around one of these old gas burning trucks that didn't have a brutal exhaust leak
I have one in my bus, good engine for what it's used for. I'm in the process of putting an Edelbrock 600 on it and damn these things are a Vacuum nightmare!
I have a 87 gmc c7000 it's got a holley 4152eg carb on it started running bad the other day and flooding in the bowl of the carb tried it today started running like it was before did you get yours fixed?
Factory they made around 345 hp and made 365 ftlbs at 3500 rpm they got there power from a extremely low gear ratio and mine also has a 2 speed rearend from factory its a 15,000 lb rear Eaton axel

Every 2 ton farm truck in western Kentucky had an exhaust leak. You could tell it was a 2 ton before you saw it…
Got a 91 dump truck kodiak with the same issue
Yeah, thats a good mystery for sure....

I love the exhaust note :)
It's definitely got exhaust leak😊
We got one of those chevy dump trucks
I tried those fuel filters, but on my f350 7.3L diesel, the flow was far too restrictive, and I had to go with just the full size cannister types.

Yeah that I can understand
My 68 C50 lopes like this
Sounds like it's on one cylinder.
Gotta love the way stock gm tall deck big blocks sound at full throttle and thumping idle
Yeah

Yeah my dad put a Edelbrock carb on it. And that’s fixed the issue that we was dealing with lol
That exhaust leak tick would drive me insane lol
Yeah lol it’s fixed now
I'm back!
I like the true duals. Put some flowmasters on there
Nah dynomax race bullets
Is that a Mack?? The front looked a little bit like it.
no it's a 89 Chevy c6500 with a 366 big block Chevy v8
anyone know best way to do a valve adjustment on the 366
They have hydraulic lifters, shouldn't ever need to adjust.
Should not .but this one does!
How much horse power is the 366 making?
I'm not sure
@@matthewmattix I did a video on my dads 1986 chevy c70 with a 366
Yeah
